Back when I was graduating from High School I was quite familiar with the State of Michigan requirements of the NCAA clearinghouse. They were at that time, a 16 on the ACT (original scale... no idea what it is now) and "adequate" grades in 13 core classes. The classes considered core were math, science, history, etc. They removed gym and other classes that can sometimes pad the GPAs of athletes. I also sort of remember that adequate was somewhat subjective but that may be because I went to a private school that had its own GPA scale. |

These things are awesome. Like others have said the ability to get the feed from other games is really awesome. I wish the stats showed more than just the leaders but maybe it will improve over time. Getting the home radio feed is also something that I love. I only wish that I could hear the broadcast of the halftime show even if the combination of Mark May's opinions and Lou Holtz's voice perforates my eardrums. The replay system is not perfect but I'm sure there will be improvements. When an official replay happens you get the replay 6 times in 7 different angles. They really augment the viewing experience and make me feel like a better informed spectator. |

Its just like if you didn't tie up your cleats. Lord knows no one would ever be able to score a touchdown without the advantage of tied footwear. Damn these apparel disadvantages! |

I'm pretty sure that if a player is on the field for a single play in any game for the entire year they burn their redshirt. Unlike in basketball where there is a limit to the games one can play in, I believe it is one and done with football. |
