Coaches' timeouts are worse. Basketball teams should get one, full stop.

Was the intent something more like:
"Having reached an inflection point, GRIII is now inflicting pain on opponents"?
Sometimes the space constraints on headline writers obscures the intent of the article; which is my primary objection to twitter. Of course, 140 letter acronyms could change everything.

Pac-12 tourney ends on Saturday so that the championship game can be played in prime-time, which can't be done on Sunday, due to the 3 hr time difference and lead time required prior to the announcement of the 68 team bracket.

MSU is ranked 13th in BPI with a 23-8 record against an easier schedule (30th), while UM is ranked 22nd with a 23-7 record against the 23rd most difficult schedule.
Go figure ...

The media doesn't need to recruit against Beilein, so they vote for Beilein.
UM is pulling good players from Indiana and Ohio, as well as Michigan. Oh yeah, and developing them into first round NBA picks.
That said, Tim Miles did a great job at Nebraska this year and deserves recognition.

Why is the guy in the MSU shirt posing like Touchdown Jesus from South Bend? Was "hang on sloopy" playing on his Walkman? Was he going for a rivals trifecta?

wants guys who are 100% committed to their NFL careers. It's the reason they question guys who spend an extra year in college after they've been projected as 1st round picks.
Sad, but true.

Are you, in fact, a Lakers and Cowboys fan as well a Yankee fan? I'm thinking no, because then you'd probably be an Alabama football and Duke basketball fan.

Back in 1972, a ping pong match between an American team and a Chinese team from the People's Republic was played at Crisler Arena. This was big news, the US and the PRC had had very little contact since 1945. Sadly, the match was very one sided; those Chinese could Pong.

but then, I don't speak Cronilogic.
But seriously, should the order be based on the date of the defeat to a team wearing Maize and Blue? Or on the ascention of the coach to the ESPN announcing pedestal?

was Michigan Basketball coach while I was a student. I had the honor of driving his teams on campus buses to/from the airport (actually both DTW and Willow Run). Coach Orr was a class act and his teams always travelled in an efficient, business-like manner. It was good to catch a glimpse of him during the game at ISU early in the season.
