Michigan hockey struggled mightily; things will work out.

He was my candidate; thought they'd go back to the Tiller tree.
Perhaps next time.

but I don't think Alabama vs Western Michigan is a compelling CFP National Semifinal matchup.

none of their helmet/uniform combinations compare to Michigan's classic tradition.

They can't criticize his won-lost record, or player development history, so they criticize his job history.

I don't spend much time in either of those, so I can't say. Add Columbus, and you've got all six Big Ten conference members; perhaps the BTN is fostering interest in each of these.
My perception has been that hockey is a distant third outside of the three college towns I mentioned, but I'll keep an open mind. At many of the schools that play hockey, its the #1 sport: North Dakota, Minn-Duluth, Colorado College, U of Denver, Quinnipiac, Boston U, Union, ...
In no way should my comments be taken to demean college hockey, I enjoy the sport immensely, and appreciate its coverage here at mgoblog.

the term "big 3 sports", referred to baseball, football and basketball. But this generally was in the context of professional sports.

according to http://www.jhowell.net/cf/scores/Michigan.htm#2008
Michigan was 3-7 at the start of the game against Northwestern; Wolverines had surprisingly won at Minnesota to retain the jug the week before. Brian's text from that game, in the yellow box, mentions 3-7 Michigan playing Northwestern (who was 7-3 at kickoff).

Why does he shift the highlighter from his left hand to his right? To keep it away from Eminem? The whole interview is so hilarious and ludicrous.

Dantonio of "little giants" fame, had planned to go for two late, but used no trickery, just a bad pass.

Minnesota gave up the largest number of points to Northwestern in 1981 and (so far) they've yielded the largest number of points to 2016 Rutgers.
|3 weeks 1 day ago||Yeah,||
1981 Northwestern went 0-11; scored 82 pts while giving up 505.
They were shut out in five games, the worst was 0-64 to Iowa.
Northwestern had not won a conference game since 1977.
