"The University of Illinois is also in turmoil. The university sports an Interim Chancellor, an Interim Athletic Director, and an Interim Football Coach; the game will be played at Soldier Field, making this an Illini Interim Home Game."

2015: not so much.

Avoid double posts.

Not being stressed about things over which one has no control.
|4 days 15 hours ago||Now I understand.||
A photographer with a huge lens was on the field during timeouts in the first half. I thought he was taking pictures of the various senior day recognitions (dancers, etc), but he was taking individual shots to stitch together to make this panoramic picture.
|5 days 6 hours ago||Great writeup.||
I grew up in Pennsylvania, have been to State College a dozen times, but yesterday was the my first gameday experience. My wife and I were wearing maize and blue and _every_ interaction we had with PSU fans was positive. There was grumbling about some PI calls (wtf, every call should go your way?), but fans will be fans. I had several Penn State fans tell me to crush Ohio State next week (of course, I was telling them we'd be rooting for them next week).
Ice Cream from the Creamery on campus is delicious, and we met the Glascow brothers' grandparents there! All in all, a fun trip.

I thought OSU -13 was a little high, but I'd have bet the farm on OSU -9.5; and that was when I thought Cook would start albeit banged-up. Saved myself a bundle by not being able to bet.
|1 week 2 days ago||Hmmmmm,||
looks like you're the fourth person to pick UMich 38-24.
|1 week 2 days ago||So,||
you're calling a stop on a two point conversion attempt by Penn State late?
|1 week 2 days ago||Congrats to the Volleyballers!||
They came close in Ann Arbor; it's great to see them get it done in State College.
Let's Go, Blue!

can we get credits for time wasted, er, spent on the board?

Is Hunter Rison a 2017 4* wide receiver?
If so, this "news" has already been posted.

Dark Mantonio could be too easily misinterpreted.

So many layers ... so little time.

100% chance of rain in Seattle (high of 55 F) accord to NWS.
We'll see how well Utah play in the water.

Jed's an owner. Trent Baalke is the 49ers GM.

designed to help QBs find their receivers before television required contrasting jerseys; now assist coaches diagnose defensive breakdowns in coverage. Interesting.

"straight from the horses mouth," eh?
|3 weeks 4 days ago||Okay,||
people over 40 can have eyesight, video skills and judgement just as good as people under 40. Mike Pereira was born in 1950, so he's older than both of us. There should be some objective screening of replay officials which involves candidates not currently considered.
I would not qualify, because I could never be completely objective about college football teams.
|3 weeks 4 days ago||The targeting rule has problems,||
and these problems should be addressed.
But there is another problem, the replay officials in the booth need an upgrade, too. Often these replay officials are older refs who can no longer run up and down the field. I not sure they've watched too many games on tv this century, or are comfortable with the technology. Get some neutral observers in their late 20s / early 30s; they don't need to be on the site of the game. Mike Pereira always seems to get the calls correct (meaning I agree with him) when consulting on Fox. It is possible.
|3 weeks 4 days ago||So,||
I take it you aren't a fan of House of Cards? I found Kevin Spacey's breaking of the fourth wall a major distraction.
|3 weeks 5 days ago||If he's under contract,||
the Lions cannot offer him anything; to do so would constitute tampering, against NFL rules.
|3 weeks 5 days ago||I thought the same thing.||
And what a cool, collected performance on Michigan's final drive.
|3 weeks 5 days ago||Ironic.||
Gophers gain 491 yards in the first 59:41 of the game, then, with the game on the line, can't gain 1/2 yard in the final 19 seconds
|3 weeks 5 days ago||Very emotional environment.||
Jerry Kill built this program and returned it to respectability. Hiss assistants have been with him for more than a decade. Every player on the team committed to Coach Kill; they all played with intensity.
Add the night game atmosphere and you have a perfect opportunity for an upset.

should be interesting this week.
|3 weeks 5 days ago||JoePa stymied.||
Looking at his expression on the sideline, he can'take believe they can't score on Michigan's defense.

"Good for him."
|4 weeks 1 day ago||WSJ's facade falls away,||
that whole financial news shtick hides their insidious purpose, to troll Michigan fans.
|4 weeks 1 day ago||Well,||
it's great to be able to see every Michigan game in HD, and clearly there's no going back.
We had Bob Ufer on radio; in many ways that was better than a modern telecast with "neutral" announcers. If you had ever seen a game in Michigan Stadium, you could picture the action as Ufer described it: "Two tight ends and a balanced line, Huckelby deep, Davis close, Ricky Leach under center, the ball resting 18 yards in, from this, the western sideline."
