Meyer has no staff to bring and has only hired one guy so far, the only other names are currrently on their staff. RR was recruiting, while Carr prep for the bowl...and recruited. Sorry, I'm not defenfing the them, I just don't see the difference, other than they are facing sanctions and why didn't NCAA make that part of their decision.
Other schools have received this waiver...they have to apply. The issue is, with pending sanctions why did they allow it? We're asking the wrong question.
First, we had the same advantage when RR came to town...yes, we all want to forget! Second, The understanding is, Meyer can build a staff and his organization, but the reality is whomever he hires most likely won't be in place until after 1/1/2012 (yes, I know that's not true for every case, so no need to send links to random articles). As far as recruiting is concerned, well, we were in the same boat when RR came to town but, with their pending sanctions, I sit here scratching my head over this one. I am not so sure sitting around whining about it changes anything. We have a great 2012 class and this has little or no impact to our future.
