It's hard to "move on from Joe" when nut-job PSU fans are electing him to hall-of-fames...
Did you already forget the original topic?

When RR got whacked, I was surprised Barwis didn't follow him. I still expected him to land with some university or pro-team. Now I can see the guy has much bigger and more important plans with his career. Much respect.

Dantonio was OK in his comments.
However, he knows the game has changed. He feasted on RR and Hoke, but he sees the Harbaugh train on the tracks, gaining speed.
Dantonio is a good coach, so he also realizes Harbaugh is the real deal and that's got to concern him and take up some space in his brain. He worked hard to gain an advantage over UM, but now that's going to be lost.

Maybe Jawon Pass will turn out to be the best QB in this class. Just seems fitting.

When I was a kid, I viewed Michigan and MSU football and basketball just like the Lions and Pistons. I could follow the teams in the newspaper, they were on TV, they all played in large arenas or stadiums.
It's a dumb argument that you need to go to the school to be a fan. It's the University of MICHIGAN, so if you live in that state you just might have an affinity for that school's teams. I root for Detroit pro teams cause they were geographically closest to me. Same thing.
Some people almost sound like college football should be exclusively for people that went to the larger universities.

I'm well aware there would not have been a fab five and I'm quite OK with that.
As for Michigan baskeball not being well known, your absolutely wrong. I seem to recall a naional championship in 1989, a trip to the finals in 1976 and some guy named Cazzie Russell who played on some great teams.
Now get your baggy shorts off my lawn!

Kid has a big body and knows how to use it. If he keeps working hard, he will be fun to watch banging down low.
|7 weeks 2 days ago||Interesting comparison.||
Interesting comparison. Other than shooting, Hibbitts is more skilled and has better agility. He looks like an athletically limited 2G/SF at times.
Donnal looked bigger and much stronger in high school. He had some decent post moves, but wasn't taking people off the dribble, flashing spin moves or throwing no-look passes.
Both played on the ground...no confusing either with Dawkins or GR3.
Hibbitts is the ultimate test for Sanderson. If he becomes stronger and more explosive, I could see substantial minutes for him in a couple years.

Give him a couple years with Beilein, Bacari and Sanderson and he will be contributing on the floor.
Really nice pick-up as a walk-on.

FInally had some time to watch video of Davis. Very skilled for a kid that size. He has obviously spent a lot of time on footwork and basic post moves. Nice shooting touch and good hands.
Biggest concern is athleticism at the next level. While he can improve, he will always be a tad slow and have a limited vertical. That said, it won't be a significant issue if he can get bigger and stronger and command space inside.
I think he's a solid commitment, who will stay 4 years and eventually be a strong contributor. HIs intelligence and work ethic will be huge in helping him improve. Seems like a good kid who will represent the program very well.

I quit playing baseball in high school because it was too boring for me. I got to bat only 3-4 times a game and in centerfield I'm guessing 4 or 5 balls came my way. Batting pratice was glacially slow.
In basketball there was constant action. Football practice could be boring at times, but the games were great.

There wasn't any complaining at Stanford, just with a multi-millionaire pro who is known to have some issues himself.

I like him better at FB. Has good feet and gets north/south very quick. Can also catch the ball out of the backfield.

From my experience with engineering, college grads have very limited usefulness until they get some on the job training. Best anaolgy I've heard is that college (for engineering) teaches you how to use every tool in the tool box, however, at that point you still don't know how to build a house.

My son (he's 14 now) loved this book as a baby. He thought it was the funniest thing on earth. Would just crack up every time my wife read it to him. That's one book I'll never forget.

Exactly. Daddy Neal has an ego problem. Maybe he can afford the out-of-state tuition for Michigan, but I highly doubt his kid would get accepted.
Sounds like his dad was for Nebraska all along, anyway.
