Mark Snyder would. And Michael Rosenberg would probably take a LOA from Sports Illustrated to help him out.

I remember in 1995 I was out doing some work in a neighborhood in Albuquerque and a couple of friends drove by telling me that Michigan was beating the hell out of Ohio State (Biakabutuka game). I went crazy because I really wasn't paying attention to that game - OSU was supposed to walk all over us. One of my friends joked that I was about to start knocking on everyone's doors to see if I might stumble on someone with satellite TV, which not too many folks had in those days. That doesn't answer your question, but back then I don't believe that all the games were televised. Not the case in 1997, when I could go to the sports bar down the street and watch every game.

The curse of William Clay Ford, with which some of us have had to spend our entire lives, may be over.

Carolina seems so focused on keeping the barrels off of Newton that they are missing the fireballs coming in the form of Mosley.

We have stats from this year to be concerned about - ours. If we get sloppy the way we did yesterday during the second quarter then we could have hell to pay with Utah. I liked the way we tightened up at the half against Miami but I don't think that we'll have the same luxury this week.

Though Forcier never came close to getting a degree anywhere. Did Rawls finish his coursework at Michigan? I thought he is a senior at Central.

It appears as though his absence really made a difference. CMU was blown out in part because they had no running game. I hope this isn't serious - he looks to have a breakout season in Mt. Pleasant.

I panicked last night, for about a half-hour. Today, I'm simply depressed. Different emotion.

I woke up this morning wishing that John U Bacon still had access to the program as he did under RichRod. If he did, then maybe at the very least we would be able to get some kind of post-mortem at some point as to what the hell is going on now. Based on last night's results I conclude that what's going on with Hoke is just as much the clusterf*** that occured when Rodriguez was in Ann Arbor.

I can't imagine how awful that line will look again this year when we play Sparty.

I have a hard time judging all the other coaches when the head coach believes that he can simply hire on assistants and then act unengaged and uninspiring on the sidelines. We need a head coach that is more than simply about coaching the defensive line and then treating the rest of his staff like some kind of leadership team where everyone has autonomy to do what they will. In the end, assistant and position coaches are certainly indispensible to a football team but they work for someone who, if it's a good coach, pulls them together into a cohesive unit, analyzes how the offense and defense are working together and makes changes accordingly, on a regular basis. That coach is also able to intervene when needed but more importantly that coach will understand every aspect of the game in a practical sense and mold the team over time.
The worst indicator of how bad things are is player development. As has been said elsewhere, I would imagine that any number of coaches would love to have the roster that Michigan has. The folks that I feel the worst for are the players in all of this.

is with Michigan alumni in a sports bar somewhere. Where I live, unlike most other games, there are always a few domers that leech into the place. We tolerate them, barely.

At one point he did that. A bit of obsession I'd say.

If you don't have that level of speed then you can make up for it with technique and I am confident that both Green and Smith are quick studies. If we end up having problems with the run game this year it won't be due to these guys.

My favorite play of the game was the TD (Smith I think...) when Kalis took the defender all the way to the endzone. Made a believer out of me.
