I think I fixed it. Email me if you still see the issue.
I don't really control which ads get displayed, but I think I've shut off the offending provider.
And please remember, ads make the blog money...

I think most OSU fans like Ed Warriner more than Herman. He's also more ready to become a head coach. Ed's down side is that he's not a great recruiter. He can, however, take a bunch of random big kids and make them a decent offensive line in a matter of weeks.

Easier just to email me, but it appears that the post won't go through if you're not logged in. Go back and log in and the reply should go through fine. I'll fix it so you get a notification when you're not logged in (which I thought was there at some point)

Same application, same essay, just $70 more to apply to another school. I wouldn't be surprised to see a UC-SB level student apply to UCLA for another $70 due to the ease of applying whereas they might not have if the application was seperate.

I think the non Berkeley California schools get a bit of a bump from the common application. Heck, Cal probably does too. The acceptance rates are artificially lowered due to the ease of applying.

I would assume Illinois is considered a better engineering school by most people. It's been top 5 in EE and CE for as long as I can remember.

Not you. Stupid ios7 and all the hipster thin helvetica. I'm redoing the titles, and I'm getting older, so I'll see what I can do.

Thanks. Finally freeing up from an insane year at work. Planning on modernizing the look over the next few weeks. Hoping to submit something every couple of weeks. I assume I'll need to do something for the new iPhones as well. Thanks for your patience.

Time to submit some updates.

The title is a little confusing. It doesn't sound like this is the full OSU Alumni association, just some band sub-group as far as I can tell.

This is true. I've been on both sides of this and both companies have come to the same conclusion. The cost of offering backwards compatibility is not worth the gain. Not only is it not worth the gain, it also offers diminishing returns over time as fewer people use it.
From a technical standpoint, this generation didn't provide enough of a performance boost to be able to easily emulate something like Cell (1 3.2 GHZ PPC core and 3.2 GHz 7 "SPU"s) with the new x86 architecture.
The good news is, I suspect all future generations will be backwards compatible, assuming they all stay on the x86 architecture.

Agree on the crappy roll out. Fortunately, those people have been forced out (Don Mattrick). There were actually some good ideas there, just not well executed. I personally would prefer to have some of those back (discless DRM, game sharing, etc.).

That did sound harsher than I intended... pirate away.
Back to your original question... I have 2 XBones, 2 360s and a PS3.
To tell you the truth, the 360 is still the most often used console in the family.
I do think the "One" has the highest upside, given the delta between what the 360 used to be and what it is now. The upside is based more on non core gaming functions (integration with the MSFT ecosystem, entertainment/TV integration, etc.).
I do think the PS4 is a slick looking machine. MSFT was a little too cautious this time around with cooling post RROD. I've never been a big fan of Sony's software capabilities (outside of their gaming studios), but I do tend to lean Japanese in my gaming taste.
If I were you, I'd wait for the 2nd revisions of both machines and enjoy the newest PS3 or 360.

It does suck to have to exchange money for goods and services. Death to companies.
Sony also sells movies and music you can get for free. Death to them too.

Out of curiosity, why the immense hate for MSFT? Gamers tend to forgive Sony for a lot of sins, but hold decades old grudges against MSFT.

Similar story here. Just a terribly managed company trying desperately to grow profits on declining revenue by short sided cost cutting. I'm glad I got out when I did. It's great to work for a company that actually gives a shit about their employees.
The Power development group is hemorrhaging talent and I assume they won't be in hardware development for much longer.
A great American government driven to the ground by two shitty CEOs. A shame.

OSU insiders have assumed that LJ Scott would go to MSU, which would send Weber to Michigan and Harris to OSU. Weber may or may not be a backup for OSU, but I think they're focused more on Harris and Scott.
