| 5 days 11 hours ago | 99 PSU Game |
They will never show the 1999 PSU game again. A great Tom Brady comeback is tarnished by the commentators fawning over a retiring Jerry Sandusky. The only place you will ever see that game again is on Wolverine Historian's Youtube channel. |

1. Yes. Gardner sees the love Lewan got for coming back for year 5 and follows suit. 2. No. Michigan falls in the Elite 8 next year and MSU goes to the final four. They split the season series and continue to miss each other in the B1G tournament. 3. OSU - easy schedule and I think Michigan loses to MSU in the snakepit for last time for 4-5 years. 4. Not as many as you would think.

I see six challenging games on that schedule. Do you really think we will go 1-5 vs ND, @MSU, @Iowa, @NW, Neb, OSU? I say we will win all the home games and go 2-1 on the road. for a overall record of 11-1 division champs. |

I'm in the middle of testing for May 1st software release. Wrapping up work around 5PM then heading over to the GF's house for some dinner and a movie. Tomorrow I'm studying for GMAT and GF is studying for MCAT. Sunday morning is church followed by brunch for lunch! |
| 8 weeks 23 hours ago | Pretty simple |
Pretty simple explanation.
In canadian football there is no such thing as a touchback. Any time the ball is kicked into the endzone the receiving team has to advance it out past their own goaline or else the kicking team is awarded 1 point. This is commonly done by running the ball out but can also be done by kicking the ball out. This is a rule that is inherited from the rugby origins of football. Also of note, any player may punt the ball at anytime but the kicking team may not touch the ball until the receiving team touches it.
So in this scenario with the game tied the missed field goal goes into the endzone and the receiving team loses the game if they don't advance it out of the endzone so they elect to kick it out. The original kicking team then elects to kick it back into the enzone to try to score the single and win the game. This goes back and forth and makes for some crazy end of game antics. |

Opened this thread expecting it to be about the backup QB situation. That being said, I don't see Morgan transferring anywhere. He will get plenty of minutes next year when we go with the 2 big lineup and when McGary gets in foul trouble. He could even reclaim the starting job from McGary with a strong off-season. |
| 9 weeks 6 days ago | JUCO might not be the way to |
JUCO might not be the way to go since they have trouble transfering credits. We will have to sell a 5th year guy on getting his masters from UM. And that might be hard considering most guys who the graduate transfer move want immediate playing time. What are the rules on an FCS/D2/D3 level guy with a couple years left transfering in? |

After reviewing penn state's roster you are correct. They don't have anyone of interest. |

| 9 weeks 6 days ago | Yes the refs blew some calls |
Yes the refs blew some calls but before the end of game fouling by Michigan the fouls were something like 22-10 in our favor. So they called a lot of fouls against UL just not all of them. At the end of the day the refs let this game turn into a MSU/UWM type slugfest and Michigan isn't built to win that kind of game. |

Duke no question.
If MSU wins they brag about being the better program, team, yadda yadda etc. If MSU loses they will talk about how we've only cared about basketball for the past 2 years. Forced to choose I prefer the latter. Plus as much as I hate coack K, seeing IZZO lose is one of my guilty pleasures.
That being said, GO BLUE! Beat Kansas! |

| 12 weeks 4 hours ago | Strong-side vs weak-side |
I don't mean to thread jack but I was curious if in Mattison's defense the strong-side is to the tight end or is it to the field. I understand how boundary/field corners operate but do front seven strength calls rely solely on offensive alignment?
Also, I think this is a good move since it appears Frank Clark went beast mode during winter lifting. |

One way to avoid politics on the board is to not post anything related to Obama, Snyder, Congress, Senate, etc.
I realize the argument for posting it is that it's just Obama's bracket nothing political here. Yet, half the people in this country think Obama poops gold and the other half thinks he is the devil incarnate. How someone can post this to the board and not expect a political flamewar to ensue is beyond reason to me. Downvoted OP for short-sightedness. |
