I played against Northwestern's Kain Colter and Nebraska's Kenny Bell... Granted it was pee wee football, but I still think it's pretty cool... I played with Bell later in pee wee football as he moved cities

However, so far I have found out:
1) I'm a homosexual
2) Numerous 12 year-olds have had intercourse with my mother
3) I don't understand Russian
But don't worry, I'm still digging. El Fuego's on the case!

I live outside of Denver, but I'm looking for jobs that are more sales/customer facing than a traditional engineering job (i.e sales engineer role) due to my skillset. I've got a couple interviews coming up, so hopefully my situation won't last long.

With a degree in Aerospace engineering while being out of state. I was blindsided a month ago by being laid off due to downsizing efforts. While trying to find another job, I have strggled to get by the last few weeks because of my massive student loans (again, out of state). But by all means, please blame the few drinks I had after spending all nighters working on my degree, asshole...

Granted, several years before Manning was even with the Colts, but it still means a lot to me and many, many people in Indianapolis.

But I played football with Kain when we were younger, and HS football at Fairview with former Nebraska WR Kenny Bell, who was good friends with Kain. Everyone knew that Kain was entitled, and he knew it too. He would always run to Daddy when something didn't go his way, and this went on into high school.
He played HS ball at Boulder until his dad (the head coach) was fired for being verbally abusive to his players. His family tried to spin it as something else to make the school look bad (can't remember what exactly) and Kain transfered to Cherry Creek. When a bad situation arrose, the family always tried to spin it as though they were not to blame, ever.
The point, I see a lot of parallels with this situation and Swenson's. Obviously, Swenson didn't have the injury, but there is always two sides of the story, and coaches can't comment on recruits publicly. I firmly believe the Coulter family tried to spin this situation as well, and I'm pretty sure that's what Swenson is doing now. I saw a comment above about "entitled football player" and Kain's situation reminded me, too, of this. Obviously we won't know the full story, but I feel pretty confident that this is what happened with Kain after being pretty close to the situation, and Swenson's is of the same mold.
P.S. I was rejected from Stanford even though I had a 4.8. GPA isn't the only thing Stanford looks at. But I was going to choose Michigan regardless, so whatever.
EDIT: Link to Spencer Coulter's firing - http://www.dailycamera.com/ci_13139567 It looks to me like the Coulters tried blaming race and how the "standards of conduct" of coaches was unclear. The school district wanted him to attend Anger Management classes, so assume the conduct was not what he was doing...

I won't deny that. His preformance in the playoffs cannot be questioned. But Brady is the only consistent thing throught his entire run? There literally has been no one else? Not, like, one of the greatest coaches of all time? No? Okay. (I'll stop being a dick now...)
Brady has had the same head coach throughout his career, a quality defense year in and year out, and essentially same offense. Manning has not. That's why I say his accomplishments are more team focused. Where would he be without Belichick?
I also like to point to the year Brady tore his ACL. The Pats still won 11 games (albeit missing the Playoffs) with Matt Cassell, that tells me it's more of the product of the BB system. That tells me Brady is worth 2 or 3 more wins. When Manning went down, the Colts won 2 games. That tells me Manning is worth 9-10 games. It helps when you have a kick-ass coach.
|33 weeks 4 days ago||Nowhere near?||
Most MVP's all time? An uncountable number of season and career all-time records? Yeah, those mean absolutely nothing because Brady doesn't have them...
Yes playoffs are a big part of accomplishments, but not the only thing. I refuse to put one above the other. I prefer to say Manning is the greatest regular season QB and Brady is the best post-season QB.
And it's easy to distinguish team vs individual accomplishments. Passing yards, TDs, Completion Percentage, pretty much individual. Wins? Mostly Team effort. No one says "Tom Brady is 12-4 this year." Because football is a TEAM effort. Like you said, 11 players aren't on the field half the time. If that's the case, how can one person get credit for a win if they aren't even on the field most of the time...
Also, I find you lack of faith in Peyton Manning disturbing considering you have "MileHigh" in your user name. As someone who lives in Denver, I am conflicted with you O.o
|33 weeks 4 days ago||Well first of all...||
This hate has stemmed WAY before these allegations so don't say it's because of that.
Second of all, I bet you were someone who said the allegations against Brady earlier this year needed more evidence before people said that, "the guy most likely cheated by tampering with game balls." Maybe not, but right after Brady's allegations, the blog collectively said "let's see the evidence first." Double standard is all I'm saying...
|33 weeks 4 days ago||Why all the Manning hate?||
I suppose I'm one of the few people on the blog who is a huge fan of Peyton Manning, but I honestly can't understand the hate. Because he lost the Heisman to Charles? Because he rivals Brady in greatness? There is just this weird fixation with hating him on this blog.
And YES I did say he rivals Brady in greatness. You cannot deny the stats he's put up. Yes Brady has more Super Bowls and Playoff success, but I always thought those accomplishmenst were more of a team effort. Because obviously Trent Dilfer > Dan Marino or Terry Bradshaw > John Elway... Regardless, it's pointless to argure that here...
|33 weeks 4 days ago||Okay...||
But Tom Brady's recovery from the same injury in a similair amount of time isn't suspicious?
