I hope the elastic in my Nike Michigan basketball shorts can hold out until August 2016. Impressed they've made it this far.

Yeah, I hate to be a killjoy but I agree with you here. This is a bad idea all around. I'm sure at 21 I would have been all about this though.

Without judgment one way or the other on this particular issue, I will say this has been the most interesting off season in Michigan Football in quite some time.

In my defense, it was EECS 281 and 14 years ago. The internet sure has a better memory than I do.

Dazed and Confused Matthew McConaughey would have loved high school in Quebec.
|2 weeks 4 days ago||Welp||
Can't say I'm terribly surprised as his commitment came out of the blue. Hopefully it works out in the end, but yeah, with bball recruiting it seems like the best course is to wait until someone signs to get excited.

But seriously, why can't we close the deal on any 6-star recruits?

I'm of the mindset that Jake Butt is primed to have a huge year. Accurate QB who likes to check it down? Sounds like a TE dream and we know that Butt can play. His emergence will force defenses to account for the middle and probably give some of the outside guys some breathing room. I don’t think we have a breakout star at WR, but a strong TE will make them look better.

That is all.

I hate to be that guy, but this post is a bit off. It's not a "happy" day, it's a day of remembrance and reverence to those who died in battle. And MacArthur, while a great leader, did not. Not trying to be a nag, but we should all be aware what this day means.

Mosquera-Perea started 22 games last year. I just don't think that fits into "making room" territory. Still, Creen is a d-bag, so no benefit of the doubt here.
Related: anywhere but IU, Max, please.

Yep, Billy Madison and Happy Gilmore were great. It would be hard to appreciate now, but man they're quotable. Case in point: Doyle rules.

|15 weeks 1 hour ago||When they were first||
When they were first introduced my read of this blog was that Brian didn't like them. Mainly because it takes away from ever making another number famous. That's where it got me as well.
A good solution might be to keep the patches, but let the kid keep their own number. The patch represents the legend and the current player has a chance to make their own number famous.

I'm not a fan of the helmet stickers, but if they're gonna do it, I second a small block M representation.

That's just the timing of things. Bo's Lasting Lessons was obviously not profiting off of mistakes; quite the opposite.

Yeah, if more than half of this reply makes sense to you, I recommend not moving to Denver. I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt since you only spent a few months here and were likely working your ass off, but I think the only thing small and provincial here is your perspective.

Fair points. It's good to acknowledge it's not all roses and sunshine. I, for one, like the dry air though.
|20 weeks 5 days ago||This reply is pretty on||
This reply is pretty on point. I would say that it's not as bike friendly as D.C. where I lived previously, but still very bike friendly depending on your location and travel needs.
In aerospace, check out Ball (the glass jar company). Turns out they make their actual money off of aerospace. They're located in Broomfield which is between Denver and Boulder.
In short: you should move to Denver. It's the best city I've ever lived in and it gets better every day.
|20 weeks 5 days ago||Agreed||
Agreed. I was thankful to see this today rather than the other option: double-birds walking out of the stadium. I got the Taken reference on the post, but still thought it was mean-spirited and focused more on the person with the (terrible) idea rather than the (terrible) idea itself. It’s definitely out of character for this blog and I’m glad Brian realized it as such upon further review.
|20 weeks 5 days ago||Fair points and I agree it||
Fair points and I agree it was meant more as a joke than any real malicious intent, but judging by the mob mentality of some of the commenters they’ve certainly crossed that line. That’s the problem I have with this post: it was presented in a way that focused more on the person behind the idea rather than the idea itself. I’m fine with saying the idea is fucking horrible. But I would ask anyone planning to attack this guy’s appearance or other unrelated items think about the stupid shit they did (are doing) when they were 19-20 before doing so.
|20 weeks 6 days ago||Hot take||
Talk about a "hot take," man. It's a terrible fucking idea, but so is roasting a kid on your blog who had the gall to come up with a bad idea. This blog should be above ad hominem personal attacks on students.

Just jumped out at me that 2018 recruits (and some '17) were born in this century. I'm old. That is all.

Count me in if they go this route this year.
|25 weeks 21 hours ago||Whew||
It had been awhile since I had seen Wheatley highlights and that took me back. I didn't remember how big he was for being that fast. Loved the call at 5:12: "he's fast, he's big, he's strong, he's... touchdown!"
|26 weeks 1 day ago||splitting hairs?||
Count me in the camp that thinks Harbaugh will be wildly successful, but I can’t see any comparison to Meyer in terms of past success as an indicator of future success as “splitting hairs.” Dude has two national championships and a chance for a third in a week. Harbaugh has been successful everywhere, but there’s just no comparison at this point. Hopefully that’s not true in the next 5-10 years.
