Should Harbaugh not offer positions to the coaches who he thinks are best and who he trusts?? That’s just a silly take. The assistants are grown men who can decide for themselves where they want to go. I’m a school principal. If I took a job in another district and I had teaching positions open in my new school, you can be sure I’d reach out to my best teachers to see if they are interested in coming with me. It’s been said before, but no one complained when Rich Rod brought a bunch of his staff with him. This happens all the time. Michigan just isn’t used to coaches actually choosing to leave for a different job.
True, it was nice to get proven starters and quality players to fill gaps last year. But it also has been scary quiet so far this year with so many top players already signing elsewhere. We are going to have tons of spots to fill, particularly on offense. Need to start making moves soon.

I know you’re taking a lot of heat for this post, but I for one appreciate it. While I am enjoying this year as much as anyone, I have been wondering what next year will look like and the prospects of a 4-peat. Even though we all realize much is still to be determined, I haven’t had the time to figure out everyone’s eligibility. So this is helpful for those of us who are interested.
I kind of agree. So many people in this board complained about Gattis up until this year. And even this year, there were times people felt like we were too conservative. Why all of a sudden do we think he’s ready to be a head coach? He really only has a few years experience as an OC.
Serious question…What are you referring to in regards to what Meyer did to OSU?? USC has obviously had far worse sanctions in the past (although I’m guessing they didn’t do anything worse that what OSU has done. Just a matter of getting caught). But if he brings multiple National championships, they will for sure give him a look at the very least.
Not sure why you’re getting negged. You aren’t way off. Pass D was obviously horrible last year, and while it seems to be improved, it still fair to say you have concerns, especially your point about guys being in position but not getting their head around. A team that supposedly can’t throw the ball just put up 300 yards passing. If the d line doesn’t get to the QB within a couple seconds, yards can be had on this secondary. Time will tell.
It’s too easy to make huge predictions after week one. Remember just a year ago at this time when we took Minny to the woodshed and the hype train nearly flew off the damn tracks. We all know how that ended. Just win the the next and keep moving forward.
What I’m sure of is that half of the guys you listed I had either forgotten about or haven’t heard about. Not sure if that’s a good sign or not. But it certainly is a sign of something.
Don’t forget that LSU also had another 7 footer already on the team when Shaq arrived. Stanley Roberts was a high school all American. So Shaq didn’t play the number of minutes that Hunter is right now.
Every dude this kid hits get blasted back at least three yards. Literally no yards after contact. Impressive. As OP mentioned, seems to be a lock for special teams time. Maybe not athletic enough to be a standout safety, but perhaps could grow into hybrid/viper type defender.
For what it’s worth, by chance I sat next the mom of one of Aiden’s roommates last night. Her son is a walk on for Mich. She knows Aiden pretty well—he spends time at their house in the summer. She said he is coming back. No intention to go to the NFL at this time. We’ll see if that turns out to be true.
Completely agree. Lots of people on this board think we should be winning like OSU, Bama, and Clemson (which has to be listed in the same category. Their run dates back longer than 2019) Not going to happen. That is actually what I was saying. You only have a handful of teams that can recruit at that level. And we all can speculate how that is possible that they keep doing it. But you can't include the others on the list just cuz they made it once. Yes, ND is about to make their second one (counting BCS). The first time around they belonged about as much as MSU did when they got throttled by Bama. None of the others save for MSU are in a division with OSU.
Same here. If you’re an IPA lover, this is the best variety pack around. Original Voodoo Ranger IPA, Hazy IPA, Experimental IPA, and Higher Plane IPA. Good mix ranging from 5.5% to 8.5%.
Exactly. If they are over the limit for the Nebraska game, and none of those players missed this past weekend, then it would stand to reason that they would all still be out for the Michigan game as well. I don't see anyway a team in the Big10 can only miss one week in a row.
I'm not sure that worried is the correct word. If anything they may think the game will actually be competitive again. But it would (and should) take a few more good performances to shift to worry.
And you'd think you could downplay all the hype before he even started his first game, but oh well. Too late for that. I have OSU coworkers who talk everyday (mockingly) about the fact that we finally found our savior at QB. Sure hope the hype doesn't backfire.

O line was terrible. Complete disappointment. But MSU play calling wasn’t great either. They could have thrown it deep every play and hung 50 on us.
