About Beijing's infrastructure, sadly much of it has not been retained:

Cool. I'm in England for work at the moment, but I'll send you a text when I'm back in town. There are some great beer places around (though sadly booze is always expensive here).

Oh, sorry man. Yeah, it was

Oh, sorry man. Yeah, it was really cool. It was maybe the third day I was in S'pore. It was at the National University. Full spread of food and drinks. And someone from the Povost's office at UM, I think, along with some profs at NUS gave a presentation. It was amazing to be halfway around the world and walk into a room full of maize and blue ties and other UM gear.

No, no, not serious. I've been around since the haloscan days (First!), just haven't posted. But I wanted to respond to the OP, because I live in Singapore and am always happy to find people out here to talk/watch UM football.

Welcome to S'pore!

I've been living here for a couple of years. There is actually an alumni group here, partly because the UM b-school is fairly popular. I don't think they're particularly active, but I have been to an alumni reception with about 200 people a couple of years ago. S'pore is a great place to live. If you want to meet up and grab a Tiger, let me know, and maybe we can set something up.
