My cousin, who had a perfect ACT score while also being 1/8 Native American (unlike myself), had UM drooling over her and was given a full scholarship. To keep it though, she had to maintain a 3.5 or something in that ballpark.

6-7 feet of snow in a few days is absurd, no doubt.

They also are without Levern Jacobs due to suspension. He was their most productive receiver last year, with 47 catches for 640 yards. Then there's also the loss of Winfree.

If you go to the bottom of the page and listen to the audio from the interview, they at first touch on DRob's underwhelming season as a rookie. Yet, Denard doesn't mention or even allude to the fact that a lot of his struggles could be attributed to the lingering nerve damage in his arm/hand that made him a liability, as the injury prevented him from being able to keep a strong grip on the ball.

I can 100% guarantee that eventually, you will look back and be very thankful for making the drunken purchase, no matter how questionable a decision it may seem to have been at the moment.
|5 days 18 hours ago||Wow. Izzo says exactly what||
Wow. Izzo says exactly what you'd expect. Having to play two walk-ons, bigs not playing very good (sic), etc. Even criticizes his players for not moving the ball well, which is probably more his fault. Plus his mannerisms just seemed ...weird.
|5 days 20 hours ago||It just sounds ridiculous to||
It just sounds ridiculous to say that Harbaugh's wife would essentially force him into settling for the Raiders job if he parts ways with SF. Obviously, if JH wants to stay in the NFL, he's going to have his sights set on winning a Super Bowl. So he'd probably want to go somewhere that gives him a reasonable chance to win games; a hot pile of garbage like Oakland does not fit that criteria.
|5 days 20 hours ago||I suppose the quotes from Tom||
I suppose the quotes from Tom Izzo in this little piece are sort of ambiguous in how you want to interpret them, but he certainly doesn't give his players much praise. He refers to his guys as "Burger King All-Americans" in comparison to those on Duke's roster and how missing out on the best recruits makes things harder.

Guess I'm having some memory lapses. That's atrocious. You could probably expect higher scoring games in your average middle school league.

A bit OT, but just noticed that Arizona State beat Bethune-Cookman (there's one I've never heard of) by a score of 49-39.
|1 week 2 days ago||Except threads like this||
Except threads like this aren't necessarily common here. Yet, MSU message boards like their RCMB, may have about 1/3 or more of their posts being Michigan related at any given time. Then another 1/3 with topics akin to stuff like the massive shit they just took, while the rest being about Sparty athletics.

There is John Beilein's son, Patrick, who could someday be a potential suitor. He seems to be progressing well as a young coach. It's not at all likely, but hypothetically, the next guy up could actually be a Beilein.
|1 week 2 days ago||Maybe it's possible Harbaugh||
Maybe it's possible Harbaugh takes the Michigan job as a means of waiting for just the right NFL position to open up (unless of course he ended up deciding he's most content at the college level). If he came to AA for 4-5 good years, got us back to an elite level, and then left the program in a state that's poised for continued success like he did with Stanford...that might not be so bad.

Man, somebody needs to remind the writer of this article to proofread his stuff.

Actually, I'm pretty sure the OP is specifically praising Beilein for his ability to coach players into NBA prospects. And I think he was implicitly acknowledging that Matta and especially Izzo get an excessive amount of unwarranted praise for their so-called player development.
|1 week 3 days ago||Yeah he probably has to beat||
Yeah he probably has to beat OSU to have even the slimmest of chances. Even more so, his status should be contingent upon whether a top tier coach is interested in the Michigan job. If one of Harbaugh, Miles, Mullen etc etc want to come to AA, Brady has to go, even with an 8-5 finish.

I actually think MSU should be included, albeit towards the bottom of the list. Stanford seems to be missing, too.

That scene where Mel Gibson goes ape shit and takes out like 15 British guys to rescue Heath Ledger (RIP) was also quite something.

What concerns me the most is Chicago potentially going after Harbaugh, should the HC job become available there.

Let's just make sure we don't put too much weight on injuries as an excuse. Or else we might sound like Tommy Izzo pouting all last year. And nobody wants that.
|3 weeks 15 hours ago||Not saying Hatch will regain||
Not saying Hatch will regain the form needed to be a significant contributor on the court, but he's got 4-5 years ahead of him with the MBB program. A lot can happen between now and then. If he continues to progress in his recovery faster than most have expected, I wouldn't rule out the possibility of him getting minutes as an upperclassman.

While that could be true with some, I think you're underestimating how fickle teenagers in high school can be.
|3 weeks 17 hours ago||Doubt it. I think Schlissel||
Doubt it. I think Schlissel is smart enough to know that spending a few extra million for a coach that would most likely get Michigan back to playing at an elite level, would be an investment that generates returns far greater than the cost. I mean, just imagine if we stuck with Brandon and Hoke and the team continued to regress in the coming years. The demand, and thus value of tickets would only fall more...maybe even to the point where just ONE(!) bottle of Coke is worth the price of two tickets. In that scenario, the football program would end up producing much less revenue than it traditionally has. Like, $10-$20 million less, annually.

LOL, Tate was really into a girl that was a good friend of mine while at Michigan. I can tell you with zero doubt, that kid LOVED the reefer.

If you haven't already done so, I'd recommend you try and use a few other outlets as well to capture a wider breadth of Michigan Football fans, rather than just MGoBlog users. I imagine most the people around here would be on the same page when it comes to your survey questions.

If Henne and Denard, Michigan's two most successful QB's as of late, were both starting for the Jags, that'd be really cool to see them playing together.

I'm looking forward to the day Denard has a rushing, receiving, and passing TD in a single game.

Funny, I remember seeing people with shirts that said 'Michigan Quidditch' walking around campus. I thought it was just a joke, people being kind of nerdy, but eventually found out Michigan actually has what they call a quidditch team ( http://michiganquidditch.com ).
