It might be worth considering removing cupcakes. My rationale there is that theoretically at least, we would/should be a much better team than their conference schedule opponents. That we do better than their average is no surprise and should be expected. I think it is fair to keep all Big Ten opponents and ND. Granted, taking this approach is a bit subjective, but the cupcakes are increasing our scores on the left of the charts.

I feel bad for the guy for staying too, but that is not an excuse. He should sit for a full game.

Agree with this. In fact, I much, much prefer a Final Four appearance over a conference championship. Indiana won the conference and Ohio State won the Big Ten tournament. Would anyone trade either of those results for ours last year? I certainly wouldn't.

A regular person did something like this and gave the investors some voting rights over what actions he should take with his life. It was a pretty interesting read.

Panama, what are you thinking going forward with so many men in extra time when you have the lead? You absolutely must have 10 men back in that situation.

I hate the Mexican soccer team. Let's just say I wouldn't be too upset if we lost this game since it is meaningless to us.

The difference between him and a lot of other guys that switch is that his home country desperately needed his services and he decided to play for someone else. Totally his right to do so and I don't think anyone would dispute that, but it shows a lack of committment to your home country. That's over-stating it a bit, but in my mind, I think of him more as an Italian than an American for that reason.
For most (not all) other guys who play for different countries, it usually is because they were not good enough for their home team. That feels less 'traitor-ish' to me.
Other guys have home teams that are so bad that they will never make the world cup. That feels more neutral to me, but I can see how someone might lump that in with the first situation.
Lastly, and this is not addressed to you specifically: We as fans, do not have to be consistent. We can cheer for the players who choose to play for our country and can dislike players who choose otherwise - regardless of reason. We do not have to be accepting of all switchers or deride all switchers.

If you are seriously considering marketing, Michigan is the better choice for that. I'm in consumer packaged goods marketing and I've never even met a person from Columbia in my field. I would imagine that they exist, I just never met anyone. Full disclosure, I work in Chicago, but I did intern at J&J in New Jersey and I don't remember any Columbia people from when I was there. Harvard, Wharton, NYU yes, but not Columbia.
Tech marketing may be slightly different, but I kind of doubt that the trend would flip. I do know of a bunch of people that went into tech marketing from Michigan - primarily West Coast.
Management consulting probably doesn't matter either way other than location as noted by another poster.

Which of these are not like the others:
OSU, Michigan, Bama, LSU, ND, Texas A&M, Ole Miss & Florida?

I'm surprised that I haven't seen any mention of how after Harbaugh made his comments about Michigan academics that was later found that Stanford kept printed lists of 'easy classes' for their student athletes to take. That makes Harbaugh a hypocrite as well.

Yes. This is another reason why having OSU in the opposite division sucks.
|1 year 33 weeks ago||That's true, but last year||
That's true, but last year had the whole trash tornado thing going on. I think we should be able to score 20+ and that could easily be enough - given the new QB & receivers vs our defensive backfield.
|1 year 33 weeks ago||Anyone else think that at||
Anyone else think that at least a few teams might try to put more air under the ball and have it land just outside the goal line? That would give the coverage team more time to get down the field due to the 5 yard head start and more hang time. That might allow some teams to do better than average giving up the ball on the 25 yard line.
|2 years 23 hours ago||Well, in more practical||
Well, in more practical classes (read: using the material after college), this kind of thing matters. I went to grad school for engineering at top 50 school (better than MSU) and TA'd classes that I took as an undergrad at a top 20 school (almost as good as Michigan).
There was a shocking difference in difficulty and hand-holding. In the top 20 school, you were required to figure things out on your own with very little help. If you couldn't figure it out during a lab, then you fail, so you better understand what you are doing prior to showing up for the lab and be prepared to do what you had to do. As a TA, at the top 50 school, I was 'required' to answer any question that students had, so labs became a long series of 'what do I do next' requiring no preparation or thought by the students.
Let's just say that one place teaches you to think for yourself and the other teaches you how to do what other people tell you to do and leave it at that.

Those guys are not exactly subjective. Some of them think our game next year at Minny is a toss-up. Sure, we could lose, but there is no way that is a 50-50 game.

Sad and it will definitely hurt us next year, but probably time to move on.
|2 years 15 weeks ago||Additionally, part of that is||
Additionally, part of that is on the defender who gambled when he went for the ball rather than playing the man and trying to knock the ball loose. That happens a lot. When it does, it usually means the receiver is running free past the DB.
|2 years 15 weeks ago||Seriously. How about the no||
Seriously. How about the no call block in the face on our DB on that 4th and 11 play that Logan ran for? He almost knocked our guy's helmet off. That would have saved the TD.
