I've never seen a rugby or Australian rules football player writhe on the ground holding his shin. Hell, when I played soccer that was the point of SHINGUARDS. Bunch of fancy boys. Dempsey breaks his nose and says play on bitches.

I really think that the octopus in Germany should be the default prophecy. Plus, I like it when animals make sports predictions.

I think Denver may want his skills, and he may want their laws.
Does anyone else think that a positive marijuana test receiving a mandated 1 year ban is kinda harsh when a conviction for a DUI is considered a "violation of team rules" and is punished per team discretion? The death throws of common sense continue.

Just make chewable pine tar as a dip. Hell, nobody would notice that.

I was a Michigan student for 9 years from 1993-2002. Student tickets were $85. I showed up 2 hours before game time and sat in the front row (except the last 2 years when my seats were awesome due to seniority). If they jumped to $300, and the team was this inconsistent, most of my friends would say screw it.

For not knowing "MGoBlog", way to sift through the old analyses and pick out your argument article.

Payne jumps up, bobbles the ball, lands and MSU gets a jump ball call, not a travel. On replay, the VA defender wasn't even close to him and all Raftery can say is "great defense." The officiating has sucked all around tonite

Did anyone else feel like they were watching the Tigers lose a 9th inning 5 run lead by our closer?
|15 weeks 2 days ago||Private vs. Public Universities||
My understanding is that this decision is only applicable to private institutions. Public schools are subject to each state's own labor laws and are not affected by this or any pending ruling. Those lawsuits would have to be filed separately in every applicable state.
As for the NCAA, does it not have the ability to drop programs from it's collective grouping? If a small portion of schools unionize and then receive salaries, what's to stop the NCAA from dropping those schools? Certainly then a new organization will be born and become the "minor league" version of the NFLPA.
A third (and final) point is this: If one becomes an employee of the University with payment for services, does that individual still receive a scholarship for academics or simply a discount if they want to get a degree?

The good news is that by 10pm on Friday night, we will know which team is better. I'll take watching the game over debating statistics all day long. Go Blue. Show Up and March On.
|15 weeks 5 days ago||Totally random thought...||
So I was reading your #3, and my left brain decided to say, "yeah, that formula is just a formula... it can't predict anything." Then my right brain said, "yeah, that's what the boyfriend in Paranormal Activity said about the Ouija board. You know what happened then, right?"
Wasn't Tennessee's second best win the firing of Bruce Pearl?
|15 weeks 6 days ago||Execution||
We have plenty of in bounds plays. The simple fact is you have to execute. That's why the press works. The problem for the defense is when you break the press you can have a transition bucket fairly easily i.e. see the Michigan VCU game last year.

Tennessee was favored by 2 in Vegas. We won by 30. Sure, different teams, Bruce Pearl is gone, Kenpom favored us in that game, and it has no bearing. Still, with all the doom and gloom (BTW did you see we are not playing Duke?) I thought this might put a smile on some of your faces.

Yep, by 14. How many injuries did state have then? And how much of a tire fire was UNC? Not sarcastic here, just can't remember
