I think by considering which coaches will make Denard stay, we are severely limiting ourselves.

I would love to have Hoke if it would mean a veritable who's who of Lloyd assistants coming back.

I wish I would have known that was on. I'll look for the podcast. I really hope we hear something either way pretty soon, but I don't think that's gonna happen.

I thought this was a decent first year of action for Cam. Minus the blatant exception (the Rudolph play), I thought he played the pass pretty well this year. The run, on the other hand, was a disaster. However, I expect both his tackling and aggressiveness against the run to improve with confidence and more practice time.

That guy plays hard on a team which does not provide him with very much help. Kudos to him and Ebert for making the best of a not very good situation.

I heard the voice of the NFL Films guy (or Campbell's Chunky Soup guy) in my head.
|5 years 10 weeks ago||This has got to mean Rod is staying.||
If Rod gets fired after the bowl game, the recruiting class is all but gone. If Rodriguez is not out by the end of the week, this, to me, signals that he is staying.
|5 years 10 weeks ago||No.||
All that should definitely be handled by the people to whom money matters (i.e. the president and the AD).
|5 years 10 weeks ago||Are you watching the games?||
We're getting run out of the stadium. I'm not being negative, but the fact of the matter is a team that is not competitive in games against even relatively good opponents will not be going 11-1 the following season.
|5 years 10 weeks ago||Experience is one thing...||
...talent and coaching are another altogether. The Detroit Lions' offensive line has a ton of experience. It still sucks.
Such will be the case with Michigan's defense unless:
a) We either get a new DC or Rod stops insisting on running that asinine 3-man front.
b) We get some top-level recruits. Not that Ray Vinopal and Carvin Johnson aren't playing hard, but they do not have the physical skills required to succeed at this level.
