Know what these maize uniforms accomplished? It has Michigan being talked about outside the BIG10 - which can have an effect on recruiting. It's not always about whether everyone likes them - but about whether everyone is talking about them.
That being said (and I am a UM fan in SEC coutry - Alabama to be exact), I like the look - I THINK - but they aren't very traditional looking. Down here people seem to be talking about them a lot. That matters, right?
Pundits keep talking about our inexperience - but i don't see it. Sure we replace a "lot" of starters - but they are replaced with guys who ar not only "football players" but guys who spent a lot of time on the field playing last year. They are all - for the most part - experiencted. The fact that UM was in the "submarine" frustrates those same pundits becasue they aren't sure what we look like on the field. Spring was a "vanilla" time when the coaches didn't want to show too much - probably.
I am confident of our season. The games still have to be played - but i think our men will show up stoked to play, and play with great coaching and enthusiasm. Sure mistakes will be made - but we have a great coaching staff who knows what they are doing.

Grew up watching Harbaugh, Huckleby, and the rest. I can tell you this - SEC is starting to get tremors about the Wolverines ... getting a little shaky for folks down here. Starting to see a lot of people watching Michigan games to see what we have.
I agree with what you say - for the most part. Coach Jim and crew seem to do well with development of players ... and there is the gpa requirements for those going to play for the true blue. I really don't worry that they will be good - if not excellent players before its all over and done. Just a note more than anything.
I see many of our recruits seem to fit the system rather than simply being high ranked. That being said, it is difficult, at best, to beat teams that load up on five stars - while we have lots of three stars
