I'd be curious to see how the investigation is being run and how deep it's going.  They'd be crazy not to look at the entire athletic department. But then again, look at how MSU has handled their internal investigations.

Crazy timing.  I am definitely not a fan of watching coaches walk away from their teams mid season.  I'm sure he has his reasons but sends an awful message to the players.
