She's had a lot of assistant turn over as they move on to brighter opportunities. It's possible this year's mix isn't ideal for some reason though.

There are some wonderful players on this year's team, but they have been very frustrating to watch in the past few games.

I confess, I flipped to something else at halftime and didn’t return to the game until it was tied late in the 4th, so I wasn’t sure how they’d battled back. I appreciate this recap!

The announcing crew is annoying me more than the team - which is saying something…

The worst defensive possession was when they were down 6 and could’ve fouled the terrible free throw shooter but instead let him pass to the guy who hit the open 3 point shot. WTF?! There was about a min left in 2OT and it was like they’d just given up. Then, down 9 they hit a couple shots and it’s a game again with 30 seconds left. 
I know they were all exhausted by then but that’s on coaching too. 
sigh

I enjoyed this. 

I've been to a few Michigan (away) sporting events by myself - (at Rutgers for women's bball and softball; bball early season tourney games in CT, early round B1G tourney games at MSG - though no football (yet)) and have generally found it to be a fun experience.

I noticed him on the sideline after Hart's departure on Saturday and thought what a gift to have him associated with the program again. Glad he'll be able to step in this week!

I've gone to games at RU a couple times, taking the train from NYC. I've ridden the bus to/from the train station and I've walked one way and ubered the other - both are reasonable options depending on how much time you have. 

If you want an adult beverage near the train station, I really liked Harvest Moon Brewery, and they had decent food too.

I absolutely love Hutch, but I agree this team was frustrating and I have begun to have those little questions about the future, too.

I agree, she has more than earned the right to set her own timeline and I hope she continues, if she has the fire & focus to bring the program forward (and the wisdom to see it and call it, if she doesn't).

These women are really fun to watch and seem to have so much fun playing the game. Great team chemistry and determination.  Go Blue!

I think Natalie Wojcik is Gymnast #1 - for some reason she didn't participate in bars last night, so was not participating in the All Around. Brooks is also excellent, though and an argument could certainly be made between the two.  Last year Wojcik's best all around (if I'm reading the stats page correctly) was 39.7750 while Brooks' best was 39.6500
