All staff decisions should be left to the head coach. I really hope that Hoke truely believes that making changes was neccessary and not that DB forced him into it. At the end of the day, its DBs job to oversee the progress of the head coach and its the head coaches job to ensure that everything in his power is done to make sure he has the best program and coaches under him that allow him to do his job.
I don't remember too many people being pissed off after we went to the Sugar Bowl. People are pissed at Hoke because he has put together two mediocre seasons in a row and "seems" unwilling to change course. If Hoke starts winning again, I doubt you hear much in the way of grumbling.
But it would be so much better if they went full screen with telestrator. I don't need to see Millen or any of the coaches instead of the game. Has potential but needs to execute better.
6'3-4 WRs that run legitimate 4.3s and have the potential of Campbell don't grow on trees. Sucks but I can understand him wanting to see all the options out there for him.

Jump from Beyerish size to 280-290ish his senior year ? I think Clark-Henry-Pipkins/Hurst- Beyer with Poggi/Stobel/Heitzman backing up puts your best front 4 on the field. Should be strong with Ross-Morgan-Ryan with Gedeon and Bolden backing up.
Hoke has the right to pick the best staff that he thinks will be successful long term. I see where he could think that the OL was going to be terrible no matter who was the coach and hamstrung Borges all year. I also can see where he has a pretty bad track record of developing talent and laid many stinkers in the last 3 years.
If Hoke decides to keep sailing this direction, the clock starts ticking quick. Struggle through next season, and theres gonna be alot of disent in the lack of changes and it wouldn't be a guarantee he gets another year.
Can Borges be a good OC for this team in the future and the OL and youth/ execution been a lot of the problem this year? Possibly.
Do I think it could also continue to be a clusterfuck with little development and predictable play calling? Possibly.
It's Hokes call. I'll be indifferent either way. Next year goes all on Hoke and I think he's earned the right to do what he thinks gives him the best chance of a successful future.
Did cheat a bunch to stop our under center run game by bringing in a couple extra DTs and going big. Now there's a point to be made about not adjusting a ton and getting 27 for 27, but PSU did gameplan for it.
You say they made it official by signing their NLI, but I thought you couldnt make it "officially official" until Signing Day. Did they just sign them, but the coaches can't accept them yet? Or since they plan to enroll early can they accept them earlier?

it looks like Thomas Gordon is misaligned in that one. It appears to be cover 3, man under and they are trying to bracket Allen Robinson while still showing a strong box with a tight, 2 back formation.
Cam Gordon runs with the TE off the snap, the 2 ILBs take a couple steps forward until they see the backs break off in pass pro and Hackenburg doesn't attempt a play fake. I think Gordon should be further outside taking away the quick slant, comeback and in.
That doesn't absolve Taylor because he has no one else to threaten his zone over top, and he should break better on the throw, but its hard to tell without seeing the whole field.

I also have a feeling that Hoke might be hamstringing Borges and he is obviously dealing with young, inexperienced players even if they are talented.
I'm at the wait and see point at the moment. Firing your OC midseason without a slam dunk replacement is begging for trouble. Firing a position coach who is underperforming isn't as big a shakeup, but again, who do you get to be OL coach? I'll save judgement until after the season, but I hope that if things stay the way they are at the moment, Hoke can put aside his loyalty and do what is best for Michigan football.
Some of the conference downplaying is undeserved, I'm not sure your example is very good. Bielema won a buch of BIG championships, Rich Rod won a ton of games at WV, Jones was pretty good at Cinci, and Muschamp was a huge name Coordinator at Texas before he went to Florida. The Big Ten has hired the likes of Hazzell, Beckmann, and Kill.
It's dirty. If he just blindsides him, it's still a penalty but I can live with it. Him diving at the knee was a uncalled for, dirty, bush league move.
Was bullshit and stupid. Lineman 10-15 yards behind the play, linebacker has free run into end zone, and Suh dives at his knee from his side where he didn't see him. If it was a Viking doing it to a Lion, there would be a uproar.
