I suspect Harbaugh is going to use UM as leverage to negotiate a bigger/better contract with SF or some other NFL team - Les Miles' last two raises/extensions followed that playbook.
Mullen would be a great hire for UM...if he'd come

the tragectory of the Hoke era can best be summed up with the Bon Iver song, "Michicant"...well, the title anyway.

Quick Lane Bowl at Ford Field - and that's only "if" they beat Maryland
sounds like a fitting end (a/o punch line) to the 'Hoke era'
|1 year 1 week ago||"this is big boy business"||
Hoke made a very telling quote this weekend when he said "this is big boy business" - though unintentional, his was response was spot-on.
Brandon and UM are running the football program like "a business", and in doing so they've lost sight of some critical components of running a successful "program". I must admit, thus far its worked quite well and the football "business" has done well, though the football "program" has suffered.
This latest incident (Morris) is just another affirmation. It seems Brandon & UM have adopted a business model to the football program that's quite similar to a certain pizza corporation that makes lousy pizzas - that being, rather than bringing in skilled/proven leadership that will work and invest the time/energy/resources in actually making a superior pizza (which would consequently dip into the profit margin); the Brandon/pizza model is to continue to try and baffle and/or dazzle the public with flashy marketing & smoke and mirrors.
In the end, most people come to the realization that "its still lousy pizza" -- that's a metaphor, for those that are still dazzled.

...will lose some Hoke recruits, but a great HC hire will solidify the class (which is limited class anyway) and could actually prompt a net improvement to the class. Look what OSU did w/the Meyer hire - they closed out their class (and the following year) strong...now i know there's probably not a readily available Urban Meyer-type going to drop into UM's lap, but it does provide UM fans something to hope for an already lost season.
And if those ratings services (Rivals, etc) legitimately do recognize talent, then UM's roster next year should be fairly stocked - that's if no key player(s) leave when Hoke is shown the door

The hits keep coming...Freep is reporting Peppers will take other visits after the season...which means...

OK its impossible to unf*ck someone or something, but beating OSU on Saturday would come as close as physically possible to unf*cking this season
...its not lottery-type odds...more like roulette odds: UM victory = 1/n (36 - n) = 36/n - 1

40's tune - "You've got to accentuate the positive - eliminate the negative - and latch on to the affirmative - don't mess with Mister In-Between"...words to live by...and coach by.
Every team has weaknesses but regardless of one's own talent, depth and/or experience, quality coaches magnify their own team's strengths and exploit the other team's weaknesses whenever possible. Players progress and gain confidence (and improve "execution"-wise) if 'they know' their coaches are putting them in positions to succeed. I might be missing it, but i haven't seen much (if any) of that over the past 3 years.
Except for a handful of games (in 3 yrs) Hoke has enabled Borgess to continually exploit his own team's weakness (to the benefit of the opponent) and mis-use viable offensive assets in pursuit of a preconceived ill-fitting (based on personnel a/o experience) ideology that perpetually shoots itself in the foot, and then the same coaches have the audacity to repeatedly wonder why "we're not executing" with two bloody bullet-ridden feet.

i suspect many are wondering what will "cut it here"...because Hoke & co. clearly are not...and next week should serve as an eye opening affirmation
