|1 hour 10 min ago||Considering how he looked early in the season||
Rudock has been the biggest surprise to me.
|2 hours 58 min ago||Why is Durkin spending even five minutes||
talking to Maryland at this point in the season?
|3 hours 14 min ago||What the hell are you thinking?||
You're talking about revenge for Michigan, and the youtube you're linking was put up by a Buckeye.
|3 hours 17 min ago||isn't it just TIME for another iconic Michigan moment?||
Yeah—seeing Michigan with more points when the clock hits 00:00. Everything else is gravy.
|17 hours 53 min ago||If Herman was gonna move||
He could have gone to LSU after this season, or maybe Georgia or Texas after next year. South Cackalackey seems like reaching a little low to me. Sorta like Mullen to Maryland.
|18 hours 41 min ago||You sit in the DMV||
Sitting in the DMV is pretty much my definition of Hell on Earth. Especially if my ticket number is 96 and the lady calls out "Number 14."
|18 hours 45 min ago||but that's just fucking stupid.||
A lot of wishful thinking going around about Meyer.
|19 hours 41 min ago||I'd much rather Maryland hire Cam Cameron||
He'll be available real soon, and cheaper, too.
|20 hours 28 min ago||counting on Brokenberg/Franklin to pull off a road upset||
Penn State beating MSU in EL would be a far bigger upset than MSU beating OSU in Columbus.
|21 hours 25 min ago||The most PSU can do is keep it close||
Even if they do, it seems like this is the season when enough falls MSU's way. PSU will be tied with 20 seconds left and driving for a game clinching FG but then Hackenberg will fumble the shotgun snap, kick it trying to recover it, and Sparty will return it for a game-winning TD as time expires.
I think MSU's ability to "fuck things up" pretty much left with JL Smith.
|22 hours 35 min ago||But we were screwed by a vote of Big 10 Athletic directors.||
The justification was that Franklin had broken his collarbone and wouldn't be close to 100% in the Rose Bowl.
The unfortunate thing with the whole "we were screwed" narrative is that Ohio State went out and absolutely smoked USC 42-21. Considering Bo's miserable record in the Rose Bowl—especially our typically anemic offensive performances—it's difficult for me to envision Michigan coming anywhere close to that performance by the Buckeyes in that Rose Bowl.
Which means that the ADs who cast the votes for OSU could always point to the Rose Bowl results to support their decision.
|23 hours 49 min ago||I hate marketing||
Which might explain your reasonable and well-intentioned but I think unrealistic expectation that baggage shouldn't accompany the mere mention of somebody's name.
Marketing generally depends on the leveraging of unspoken associations in the target audience's mind, even if they're tangential to the specific thing being marketed. That it's frequently scurrilous in intent—like racial dog-whistling in political campaign ads—doesn't mean it's not effective, unfortunately. Compartmentalization in the human mind isn't absolute.
|1 day 1 hour ago||Nice straw man though.||
You were the one who brought Brandon's name into the conversation, and you can't seriously expect to do that without the entirety of Brandon's record coming along with that mention. It's hard to think of another sports figure who brings more negative baggage with him on MGoBlog than Brandon.
|1 day 1 hour ago||Maybe he's been trying to reach us.||
Maybe Brian is RDT in a parallel universe.
|1 day 1 hour ago||fixing the root cause can cause serious downtime||
First, do no harm. Especially during Ohio State week.
|1 day 2 hours ago||Well, look at that||
Who knew there was capybara porn on the internet?
|1 day 2 hours ago||I suggested a solution to Brian last year||
Use these to power the MGoServers:
Instead of the ones he's currently using:
but he didn't listen.
|1 day 12 hours ago||I looked at all the passing records on MGoBlue||
I didn't see a single one still held by Harbaugh.
|1 day 13 hours ago||If that's supposed to be Texas||
they must have farmed out the geography research to Ben Carson's staff.
|1 day 17 hours ago||"Where do you think that toughness comes from?"||
If I was a coach and had to listen to dumbass high-school sophomore-level questions like this I don't know if I could keep a civil tongue in my head.
|2 days 9 hours ago||Weber didn't get a NC ring.||
Yep, brainfart on my part. Thanks.
|2 days 9 hours ago||warrant all the attention we throw his way.||
Nobody would be paying any mind to this if it weren't for the fact that Weber is a local Detroit kid whose HS coach played for Michigan, but chose our most hated rival to play for and is now expressing what appears to be buyer's remorse. That's going to be a story line regardless of what you think, especially leading up to the game. It's not whining or bitching. If Malik McDowell was riding the bench and tweeted out a similar comment before the MSU game, it would have gotten a similar amount of attention.
In comparison to a large percentage of OPs, it's hardly the worst one.
|2 days 9 hours ago||He had his chance to change his mind||
Harbaugh went after him vigorously, and in the end Weber chose OSU over Michigan. No skin off of our nose, or there shouldn't be.
He got a NC ring out of it, and with Elliott leaving you'd think he'd be looking forward to his chance next season.
|2 days 10 hours ago||Given the context of what happened last weekend||
I'd say it's a big case of buyer's remorse.
|2 days 11 hours ago||So lemme get this straight||
Quarterback A goes 13/32 (40%) for 137 yards and one TD.
Quarterback B goes 25/38 (67%) for 256 yards and 2 TDs.
But Quarterback A is rated higher?
What's next from these knuckleheads? Mallett is a better QB than Brady?
|2 days 19 hours ago||There's little doubt that LSU tries hard for Dantonio||
If you've got sources for that assertion, let's see them.
You're saying that LSU is going to fire a 62-year old with a NC under his belt for a guy who would be 60 in fall 2016 who's never sniffed a NC and hasn't spent one second of his coaching career south of Ohio.
Nick Saban was 49 when LSU hired him in 2000.
|2 days 20 hours ago||But, you forgot Ron English to Pitt.||
?? Was that a thing? I can't recall ever seeing this notion.
|2 days 20 hours ago||I could see Miles taking over for Corso||
One goofball following another.
|2 days 20 hours ago||I'd be surprised if LSU didn't take a look at Herman||
It's common for ADs to hire new head coaches to remedy a perceived failing of the previous coach (like RR being brought in to juice up the supposedly stale offensive scheme under LC), and Herman's offensive smarts would be attractive to a program that's been traditionally strong on defense but mediocre on offense.
I thought Miles screwed himself when he brought Cameron in as his OC.
|2 days 20 hours ago||strongly advocating Herman for every big job that opens up||
Not if it means coming to the Big Ten.
