but I've spent a great deal of time in Colorado since I was a small kid, and it's an awesome state. Still kills me I'm not living out there.

The offense of that '94 PSU team was as potent as I've ever seen on a college football team, before or since.

You were the one who called the Amazing Race "cheesy"—which is never a compliment in any context. If you're going to offer that kind of opinion, then develop a thicker hide. MGoBlog isn't Quaker Sunday School.
|34 min 25 sec ago||There's nothing irrational about memories of Michigan victories||
1984 vs. #1 Miami of Florida
In an otherwise forgettable year, Michigan opened its season by beating defending national champs Miami 22-14. First-year Hurricanes coach Jimmy Johnson saw his QB Bernie Kosar fumble once, get sacked three times, and throw six interceptions in the loss.

OK, makes sense now. Since so much was excerpted above, I thought it was everything.
|16 hours 8 min ago||"Nearly as important, he has stayed clear of off-field trouble."||
What? Is there another Frank Clark on the team? I mean he's got an interesting life story and he seems to be doing fine now, but this is blatant fudging of the truth.

Have no tolerance any more for the goddamn interstitial web ads plopped right in the middle of "content," in this case "3 veggies keeping you fat" and "BuckNaked underwear."
If, God forbid, Brian resorted to this ad scheme, my time at MGoBlog would decline by 90%.
(Maybe that would be a good thing...)

I first heard the term in the late '60s or early '70s, a time when there was less mixing of different ethnic/racial groups than there is today.
There are so many more bi-racial/bi-ethnic kids these days (my daughter being one of them) that making derogatory comments about their racial or ethnic identity just doesn't resonate with as many people as it did back then.
|22 hours 54 min ago||When did I advocate beating the crap or tasing these kid invader||
I never said you did. I'm the one advocating those measures.
|23 hours 21 min ago||a lot of these 'invaders' were kids||
Big fucking deal. Tasing the little punks builds character and is hilarious on youtube.

"a black T with Michigan-something printed on it and a sweat shirt."
This is why eyewitness reports are so unreliable in criminal proceedings. An observer who was there sees somebody wearing a sweatshirt, but the guy who he was observing says he was wearing a button-down.

A freaking Bentley? I s'pose coaches can drive whatever the fuck they want, but that screams way too much conspicuous bling to me. I'd expect that out at USC.
|1 day 19 hours ago||they blitz a lot.||
I'll defer to everybody else's MSU knowledge, but in general the effectiveness of outside blitzes is greatly impacted by whether the DL has gotten any penetration inside. If it hasn't, then a good QB has time to step up into the pocket and get the pass off.
I've seen this a million times over the years with Michigan on defense, with our outside blitzers continually getting to the QB only after he's been able to step up and deliver the ball because the inside push from our DL isn't doing anything to collapse the pocket.
|1 day 21 hours ago||He looks dangerous but seldom is dangerous.||
I don't know if I've ever seen so much MGoBlog hype lathered on a Michigan player who has done so little to justify it. The main competitor in that category IMHO is McGuffie, and his injury issues were part of the problem.
|1 day 21 hours ago||We need to work our our issues with the DL,||
IMHO the key to our defensive success this year will be the defensive line. If it doesn't generate more pressure on its own—especially in key 3rd- and 4th situations—we're going to struggle.

I know how to get season ticket purchases up into the stratosphere—all new season ticket holders get a different Successories® poster for each game signed by David Brandon.
Here's the one for Appy State:

The game in 2007 was definitely an ass-kicking, but the 31-27 loss at Autzen wasn't. Oregon scored 21 pts directly as a result of our craptastic special teams, which also cost us the game at Iowa that year.
