We've spent a week debating... stalking and pawning over a kid who claimed Michigan was his dream school but couldnt make his mind up between Michigan and Ohio State... Its hard to feel bad for the kid who is about to get a free education while I'm taking out loans to stay in the school he passed over. He didn't want to come to Michigan he picked OSU to only get burned hope everything works out for the kid I know Iowa is always looking for Running Backs but I'm tred of this story.
But Weber just learned what every recruit learns by the time August comes around... that Recruiting is a game and they're the ones getting played. Every school lies to these gullible kids to get them to come to their school. Weber committed to a school that told two 2016 backs they could come and compete for a starter spot beforehe had even signed his LOI... Feel ad for the kid... but he's not the only one being played... wish him the best
People also forget the relationship he has to make with the coaches of the high schools... he's been out of the recruiting game for over 4 years... Urban only sat out a year... kept Fickell and others... and even in his retirement was working games for ESPN in the midwest footprint so he had ample time to build a rapport with high school coaches in his one year stint broadcasting

I know the quality of coach Brady Hoke is... He's not as hands on as a Harbaugh... And he relies to much on the coaching chops of his coordinators... He wasn't able to find a coordinator or postion coaches whom could develop the offensive side of the ball at Michigan... but a coach that did great things at both Ball State and SDSU shouldn't even be entertaining CMU... it should be the other way around... with Fleck at WMU... and other coaches rising up at other schools CMU better hope they strike gold or else.
The Saginaw Arts and Sciences Academy dropped to sixth? fuck LOL SASA kids have some of the most rigerous courses in the state but still have the stigma attached to other saginaw schools... i for instance had to take feeder summer courses to get into U of M even though I had a 3.8 at a top 5 school in the state

Sparty has a lot of recuits this year that look REALLY impressive on film... even if we don't actually get them and they sign to State... They won't have that chip on their shoulders of "Michigan didn't offer me" like many of Spartys best players had recently
As a kid from Saginaw... This is pretty huge... People don't know how hard it is to recruit kids from Saginaw and Flint to Michigan... It's actually like recruiting an out of state kid because so many kids look to just leave the state completely... Great recruiting job by Hoke and staff hopefully they'll be able to keep recruiting Mid Michigan effectively

Peppers will be an 18 year old freshman... I just pray he over achieves and takes away Taylor's starting job so we can move Taylor to nickel... Will he be able to do it... The Whole lost to Iowa State arguement is bogus to me. Yes Alabama lost to Top Ranked LSU on there home turf and thats a more "impressive" lost on paper than OK state's lost to Iowa State. But it wouldn't matter who Ok State lost to in hindsight. The pollsters were already talking about a rematch twenty seconds after the game!!!! (At that point still 3 Undefeated Teams). But lets say Ok State beat Iowa State and lost to Oklahoma or Baylor instead... now even though thats a "quality" loss (baylor (road game) and Oklahoma (top 10 team) ) the media would have still tryed to peg a LSU-ALA rematch. The luster of the SEC helped Alabama get in... look at the numbers Ok State had a harder schedule, played more ranked teams, beat more bowl teams, and won by a greater margin... but the SEC trumped the number...
... I don't think he's a LOCK to state... I think its gonna be distance if anything... I think since his family is in saginaw he's more likely to central plus central is familar to him lots of kids from saginaw go up to central... but who knows
