Can you say Sinister Six?! If they can pull this off, this film could be special.

A former Sailor! I'm a Big Red myself, but this kid is leading the charge for arguably the best team Shores has ever seen. The next few years should be pretty exciting for your old school.

What a great first name. Wu-Tang Forever.
|7 weeks 4 days ago||The Conference||
The conference he plays in, the OK Black, is a pretty top-heavy conference. My alma mater Muskegon is the winningest high school program in the state of Michigan, and a perennial state champ contender. Zeelend East is always in the mix for state championships as well. The bottom-half teams are pretty awful though, and it appears he played most of the awful teams in the highlight.
The kid is a gamer. He's led the Sailors to a 6-1 record this year. They hadn't won 6+ games in a season in over 30 years. This is the best team they have ever had, and it is largely due to Tyree's play at quarterback.
I don't see it happening, but I would love to see this kid get an offer from us.

Ricardo Miller is in action for UMASS against Wisconsin. It's to see him take the field for some PT, I hope he can make some plays today.

+1 for the Boy Meets World reference.

Shoot, that's a bummer. I wish him a speedy recovery. I was hoping to catch him in week 2 against my alma mater Muskegon. The teams are ranked 1-2 in the state. Can't miss that.

He is quite large, but nothing you can't handle on your own, Mr. Norris.

Luke Evans as Bard the Bowman seems like a great fit.

Not only him, but Snoop Dogg's son Cordell Broadus is shaping up to be one of the top WR's in the nation, with offers from the likes of USC and LSU. Michigan visited his school last month, but probably doesn't have a horse in this race. Looks like the 213 wil live on.
|26 weeks 15 hours ago||I didn't say||
I didn't say they were a good team, but progress was being made. Drummond was really coming along. He averraged 7.9 points, 7.6 rebounds, and 1.6 blocks per contest in only 21 minutes of action. His injury made a bad team even worse.
|26 weeks 17 hours ago||The Pistons||
The Pistons have been pretty bad the past 5 years or so, no doubt about it. Howeva I don't think they are as far away from turning things around as some of you may think.
The Pistons were in the hunt for an 8th-seed playoff berth for the first half of the season, then rookie sensation Andre Drummond ended up missing 22 games because of a stress facture in his back. Couple that with Frank missing time due to his wife's health, and the wheels just fell off.
I would say the Pistons pre-Drummond injury were just as good if not better than the Bucks, who finished 38-44 with the 8th seed. That's just my opinion.
The team will look a helluva lot different next season with all the free agents on the roster, but I don't think we are all that far from being a playoff team, albeit in the Eastern Conference.
|26 weeks 19 hours ago||I see where||
I see where you're coming from, but from what i've heard, Frank's lack of playing experience was a frequent complaint amongst the players, and one of the several reasons he was let go.
I think the Pistons needed someone who is known for their player development. The organization is looking to win now. I am by no means sold on this hire, but I do know Cheeks is very well-respected around the league and is looking to turn this team around.

I'm not sure if this is their actual fight song, but Tennessee's Rocky Top is pretty great.

The first four games of the season are all teams out west. We played Utah 5 years ago, but has Michigan ever suited up against Oregon St, UNLV, or BYU?

Another Cabrera nugget to chew on. Pretty incredible:
Miguel Cabrera is 1st player in MLB history to enter June with at least a .340 BA, 15+ HR, 60+ RBI
|27 weeks 3 days ago||I saw that too||
I saw that too, but maybe due to these academic issues he was in the doghouse, so to speak, and put last on the depth chart until he got things in order? It seemed like he was trending upward after finally being able to play and develop last year. I could be wrong, though.
|29 weeks 1 day ago||Miguel is||
Miguel is a Grammy award-winning R&B artist, probably the best of his generation. He's best known for his songs "Adorn" (Grammy for best R&B song) and "Sure Thing." Has a flair for the dramatic...he doesn't quite have Sam McGuffie hurdling skills, but he is one of the best talents we have in music today. This video makes me laugh and laugh.

Via Detroit News:
"Lions players Calvin Johnson, Matthew Stafford, Nate Burleson and legendary former running back Barry Sanders all helped recruit the high-profile Bush to free agency this offseason, and he said their desire for him to join the team helped his decision."
I know the current players were expected to put on the full-court press, but I was a little surprised that Barry Sanders had a hand in recruiting Bush to Detroit. He knows better than anyone the kind of O-line problems Detroit has had over the years.
|39 weeks 6 days ago||I agree completely.||
I agree completely. Iron Man was more of a B-star in the comic book world before the first film. Robert Downey Jr. has done a tremendous job with Tony Stark's character, and has made Iron Man one of the most popular comic book character around. If you think about it, he was the central character that the Avengers Initiative kind of revolved around.
I actually think that at the end of Iron Man 3 Stark will end up traveling into outer space to kick it with the Guardians of The Galaxy. I guess we'll see what happens in May!
