The elevation gain/loss is also nuts. The mental fortitude necessary to finish that race is absolutely off the charts. Congrats to all the finishers; truly amazing
This is a lazy, tired take. Pearson was Red’s guy and, while he turned out to be an asshole I don’t remember any personality/culture concerns at the time. Same with Juwan. Just because both ended up not succeeding doesn’t make them bad hires at the time.
Yeah, as important of straight line speed is/can be, things like burst/change of direction/ability to track a ball are more important on a down-to-down basis
To be fair [Letterkenny voice] didn’t Klatt/Gus do this for the last minute or so of our 2021 trouncing of An Ohio University? But yeah, should happen more in big moments
This is the thing that gets me. Eat the parking ticket; pay for a cab/uber/lyft. So incredibly stupid, especially since he makes more money than 99% of the population
Definitely a smaller city than c-bus but then again I’ve never seen Columbus come up on *any* best places to live/raise a family lists; A2 on the other hand . . .
Im picturing the tennis scene in Royal Tenenbaums where Luke Wilson takes off his socks/shoes, while openly weeping on the court and throwing his racket
Was always a big fan of Arthurian Legend stuff, and am finally getting around to reading the Once and Future King. Not too far into it, but enjoying it so far.
Been reading lots of Norse and Greek mythology over the last couple years. Strongly recommend Norse Mythology by Neil Gaiman
His basketball IQ leaves a lot to be desired. Can’t count how many times he leaves his man to go for a block that he has no chance of getting to and then gives up an easy offensive rebound/put back. He’s aggressive when he should be patient and stands around when he should be aggressive. And don’t even get me started on his lack of development on offense; he still looks like a freshman out there
It’s actually even worse than that . . . It isn’t that we didn’t get a favorable ruling, it’s that we dropped the entire request (so there was nothing for a judge to rule on). On a podcast Craig said that the judge was favorably disposed to granting the TRO, but we’ll never know one way or the other now
We’re basically talking past each other at this point, but I honestly don’t understand how you can think the lack of a goalie coach didn’t contribute to a regression from our [wait for it] . . . Goalie. It’s true that he probably cost us a championship last year, but it’s also true that not having a goalie coach didn’t help and contributed to his regression over the course of the season. And fwiw, you weren't exactly alone in thinking Portillo’s play was our biggest liability come tournament time, it was a pretty common sentiment
I mean, i hear you and Portillo’s definitely not without blame, but you can’t convince me that having a coach consistently on his ass about his wandering/losing his stick/other bad habits wouldn’t have improved things over the course of the season
Guessing he has an actual goalie coach now, which probably helps rein in his bad habits. He let in some atrocious goals, but Naurato/the program didn’t do him any favors by not having a position coach
I don’t remember saying anything bad about the program but if he did almost certainly he wasn’t wrong. This has 1 guard every road game and 1 center all the time. The coach and strength coach got into some kind of fight/argument/whatever and Juwan told that maryland coach he was going to kill him and slapped a different coach (if that was the only thing it wouldn’t be as bad because that jackass wisky coach grabbed Twill first). If this isn’t rock bottom we’ll see it next season if he’s back.
Not gonna hold leaving here to play for a better team while getting paid against him. As long as what he said wasn’t beyond the pale, he’s probably right
I’m sorry, but whenever we retaliate after another team does something after the whistle (which McGroarty did) we always get the matching minor. But they won’t call it here

Won’t be a big ten crew, so almost certainly

Totally missed your sarcasm; mea culpa

Did you know their coach, John Beilein, was never an assistant?

Such a bullshit call
Need more of this
Helluva period
What. A. Shot!!
Only we get called for the post-whistle retaliation stuff
4th line has been doing work
Minnesota getting away with murder, as usual
Looked like an elbow to the head on the near boards
It’s bullshit they can challenge an offsides like a full minute after the offsides
Boom!
Go Blue!
Much safer to open coolers here too

Will do. Thanks for the suggestion
Good tip; will check them out

Nice try, troll. Now get back to delivering those pizzas

If they reverse this you can’t convince me this shit isnt rigged
Do we know what the unsportsmanlike was for?
Are these guys the Minnesota announcers?
Incidental, my ass
A lot of people go to college for 7 years, Richard
If that’s us, they’d call embellishment
D looks lost but that was a laser by Schifsky. Good game so far
I get that basketball is disappointing, but this is too much, imo:

The embellishment call was inexcusable
That’s not a major. Luck has nothing to do with it
Good period
If it was ernisse’s earlier hit that shift, it was all body
No way this is 5

Sucks we don’t get a fair whistle, but this team just can’t seem to put it together

Bacon, pork, gristle; all hard to keep from Bert

So many turnovers, what are we doing?
So many d-zone turnovers
