First, why slow the game down?
Second, nasty injuries from/to enforcers happen all the time.
My opinion is to eliminate fighting. This will get more quality players and less goons. Clearing up roster spots and making an almost olympic level of speed and creativity on the ice.
I find people getting excited about fighting in hockey ridiculous.
This is my favorite sport in the world and still play to this day. The time has come for a change.

Now I turn on the NFL and the national anthem is an issue. Players use colors and signs for various causes. I understand if you have a voice and a platform be heard, but I am a simple person watching sports that will be back at work on Monday.
I do think it's a bit much. No matter how you feel about Michigan, 20 points is a big spread against a team that has looked flawless against weaker opponents
