Insofar as I won't (potentially, yes, knock on wood) be able to watch Sunday's game (or Friday's game for that matter), as I will be out of the country. I do, however, have a DVR, and checked Sunday's lineup on CBS. It looks like there's one game at 2 pm (eastern), and one game at 4:55 pm (eastern). I'm taping them both, just in case. |

Namely, because it's stupid. We had perfectly fine distinctions of I-A and I-AA, before they came around with the FBS and FCS designitions. I understand that one is the (B)owl, and one is the (C)hampionship, but it's stupid, arbitrary, and goes messing with something that didn't need messing with. |

I got to meet Steve once, as he not only was a fellow alumnus of Colorado College, but a member of my fraternity as well. A really cool, down-to-earth guy who did amazing things for the NFL. He will be missed. |

Here's a good Dr. Saturday article about the UF attrition. I have no idea how much attrition has occurred since the article was penned (which was Oct. 26th), but as of then, only 60 of the 85 players who signed LOI's since 2008 were still on the team. Edit: Also, Alabama lost two more players to attrition over that same time period (27 vs. 25), but they also (over)signed 24 more LOI's (109-85) in those four years... #stopoversigning Side question: Matt Hinton left Dr. Saturday- does anyone know where he might have landed? |

but one of my favorite hot summer day beverages is negro modelo on the rocks with a good bit of lime, preferably served in a pint glass that has had some time to chill in the freezer. Tonight it's regular Jack on the rocks, only because I ran out of Bulleit and I found a pint of JD in my camping stuff (I find a pint is the perfect amount for a couple days in the wilderness w/out adding a ton of weight) as I was prepping for some summer hiking. All in all, a decent, if unexpected find. Like findng a $5 dollar bill in some old jeans. |
