Can't go after any of the big boys because they haven't gotten anyone those teams wanted since the Tunsil class. No evidence.

Ole Miss will get hit hard, Ole Miss will whine, Ole Miss will have its penalties reduced. So pass the days of our lives.

Would love to see Peppers go to the Patriots for his sake. The know how to use guys as specific skillet weapons. If he goes to a good team towards the end of the round he will be an all star. If he goes to one of the bottom feeders he could be a bust, because he needs a team that knows how to use him.

A lot of these kids never seem like bad apples. Ones that come to my mind immediately are Osa Masina, Dorial Green-Beckham, and Kiante Enis. DGB in particular I'm pretty sure won a national award or something for athletes committed to service and the community.

There generally aren't that many crimes on college campuses that don't involve drugs or alcohol.

Wasn't Martin a starter in Tennessee for a bit? Glasgow is better than Martin was for my money, just got diluted by having so many great linemen around him. Never bet against a Glasgow.

The only play more typical OSU than that 3rd down conversion was the scramble against us by Samuel to get to 4th and 1... So frickin annoying.

And one of them was committed and recruiting for us at one point... And left because we fired Borges...

Lol at Kiffin's face after that third down playcall. He's so afraid of Saban coming to spank him.

What the hell are they doing to coach RBs at Bama?? When they take the first hit it's like watching someone get hit by a wave in the water. They just slow down for a second and then keep moving. Don't even get knocked off balance.

What is the starzzz talent level of Washington? Has Peterson just coached them up incredibly fast or were they recruiting well before? I don't remember a lot of guys picking Washington the last few years.

Woooooow that sucks so much. We really are never going to get to see him in a bowl game??

Chances are the players who said fans were supportive were going to commit to hose schools and the ones who thought fans were annoying were never coming to those schools. Pretty meaningless questions from a fan impact standpoint. The first question is interesting, though I wonder how likely a kid was to actually come to a school if a fan on Twitter swayed them one way or the other.

Well the first three are all but guaranteed according to just about everyone and Filiaga's top three favors us heavily. The others are really the ones we're in a fight for.

Sounds like Slaton is pretty much out of the picture. Kai Leon Herbert recently removed Michigan stuff from his twitter. Those will affect the overall numbers. I'm optimistic about the rest of the uncommitted guys though. Should be an interesting finish.

Can definitely see both sides of this. On the one hand, it's an injury risk, and as poster above said its really just another exploitation of the players at this point to generate ad revenue. Really the only benefit is the preparation time it gives to younger guys for next year's team, meaning him sitting is in a way better for the team. On the other hand, when Harbaugh is sitting in the war room in LA and looks at this guy he's gonna say he doesn't love playing football and didn't have the innate drive to win every day. Kinda sucks/is crazy that the game has gotten so violent with huge players in the last few decades and the pay checks are so big that guys can't just play because it's fun and competitive anymore. They always have to have a risk/benefit analysis running in the back of their minds.

If we didn't have so many future pros on the Dline any one of them could have been an All American. They shared the wealth too much to get the recognition.
|11 weeks 4 days ago||Unfortunately I think this||
Unfortunately I think this year showed us you just can't get by with only a "halfway decent" Oline to win it all. We had tons of talent this year but couldn't grind down the clock when we needed to to win.

Not going to look around for the rankings, but when compiling a list like this you gotta go with the composite. Plus isn't ESPN widely recognized as the least predictive ranking service?

Don't forget that Morris played a BIG role in recruiting a lot of the guys that anchored the team on both sides of the ball this year. He is a true Michigan man that never panned out. Don't hate him for it. That's just life. With more years of Harbaugh he might have done better. That said, one of his interviews from the offseason last summer struck me as odd. Said something to the effect of he realized football isn't everything and it doesn't define him or something. A good realization to have, but a weird thing to say in an interview about being a quarterback competing for a job. Seemed to indicate he had given up on having a big role here. It was sort of sad because I always hoped for big things from him, but I could see him having a Rawlsian jump if he can go somewhere where he's man and doesn't have so much pressure to be perfect and can be a bit more of a gunslinger.

He really might have made a run at the Heisman if we won that game. Had the Heisman moments by getting us the momentum back right after OSU scored and after turning it over. Would have been a huge part of that win. Really sucks on so many levels. Feels a lot like McGary in that we never got to see enough of him.
