You need to title the thread "Bleacher Report: Mike Shanahan wants to..."
That way, people will know this isn't serious.

And yet (some) people still want to hire Pat Fitzgerald to coach Michigan.

As someone who works in marketing and handles emails for a CEO, "Please, just stop" is language that frequently gets dismissed. I doubt if Brandon will actually ever see this.
Try something like this instead: "I have thus decided to forgo any further purchases of Michigan football memorabilia or my renewal of season tickets."
That's an attention grabber.

Brian has said and written "F**k Dave Brandon" both here on this blog, in podcasts, and on the radio. I think the ship has sailed on him remaining unbiased at this point.
Frankly, I would be shocked and disappointed if Brian and Ace did NOT sign the petition, given how they clearly feel about Brandon being AD.
|7 weeks 3 days ago||Re: "Aggressively Reasonable"||
For the record, I believe Hoke should be fired. His mishandling of the Morris injury situation was beyond atrocious. I don't think I need to say any more than that.
However, if I remain Aggressively Reasonable, as Brian puts it, will I be banished to Bolivia? I'm no fan of Hoke or Brandon at this point and I was the guy who started the "the Program will Burn Down to the Gwound" thread as a joke that got deleted, but generally I tend to take a moderate view of things. I don't think there's necessarily anything wrong with being Aggressively Reasonable, and I think it's healthy for the MGoCommunity to have that voice every once in a while.
Yes, here, at this moment, it doesn't really apply. Hoke and Brandon have made me, who tries to be reasonable and always give guys a chance and the benefit of the doubt, completely lose all faith in them as leaders of the program. But I mean going forward, I'd like to stay reasonable and not get punished for it.

|10 weeks 3 days ago||Re: Tempo||
I don't think Michigan necessarily has to go lightning fast, but they could go a little faster than a snail. I mean, I'm a supporter of the huddle (get the right call in), and tons of huddle teams break and snap the ball with :17 seconds left on the play clock. Michigan typically snaps the ball around :07 or :04. Yeeesh.

My bad. Feel free to delete the link and the post, if possible.
Edit: Thanks for the downvotes, folks. It was an honest mistake.
|10 weeks 3 days ago||Dan Enos anyone?||
Built a phenomenal OL at Central Michigan(!) and has a great OL coach. Also coached QBs and transformed Kirk Cousins into the Big Ten's best QB at the time. He also runs a pro-style offense and runs it very well. I watched CMU's last two games against Chat and Purdue and they were impressive. It wouldn't surprise me if Enos won the MAC this year.
Only downside is that he's an MSU grad and that might (read: would) rub people the wrong way possibly. But honestly, after all the "Michigan Man" b.s. over the years, does it really matter? He's competent.

Gruden has his own TV segment and makes millions working for ESPN. He is almost universally loved for doing nothing other than being a likeable talking head. If he were to go back to coaching, he would risk all of that adulation because he might not be awesome. He has a pretty damn great life right now and I see no reason why he would ever give that up.

Not sure how credible this is, but back in January, John Harbaugh (Ravens HC) apparently said he would accept the Michigan job if offered.

|11 weeks 3 days ago||I'd hope you wouldn't be||
No, I wouldn't. But for a guy who hasn't really done anything, he sure does get talked about a lot. People call on Sam Webb's radio show and constantly praise Drake Johnson and their argument in favor him adds up to nothing more than "Give the kid from Ann Arbor Pioneer a chance!" It just strikes me as local nepotism.
Honestly it doesn't matter much to me who carries the ball, as long as they produce. But if you want my preferences, I'm going with the guys I got excited about when they committed.
|11 weeks 3 days ago||Re: Drake Johnson||
I'm actually not bummed that he didn't see the field until late. I know a lot of people have written off Green but I honestly prefer him as the starter given his pedigree.
I realize everyone loves Johnson 'cause he's a local boy, but if your starter is five-star Green, your back is a four-star #1 RB from OH, your third option is RS JR Justice Hayes (also a four-star), and your fourth stringer is a two-star from Pioneer, that's not terrible.

|11 weeks 3 days ago||"The one complaint."||
I have to disagree with this, because you're basing this criticism on 20/20 hindsight. If Gardner chucks it up, "see what happens" could mean an INT. I think he's been coached by Nussmeier not to make unnecessary throws. The draw didn't work but I think it was the right call. If you're carving up a team with passing, they're probably thinking you're going to pass on a third and long, in which case a draw makes total sense and has considerably less risk.
