a guy who spits in the face of academics is getting so much love. Whatever.
My vote's for Chris Spielman and Kirk Herbstreit. Yes, Buckeyes, but they're good at their jobs, bring a quality product, and give props to Michigan when appropriate.
I'd can Dinardo from BTN and hire Herbie in a heartbeat.

Are we allowed to point out inaccuracies in the book, or will that get us sent to Bolivia?

|15 weeks 4 hours ago||Agreed.||
Even if Malzahn's reasons for initially blocking the transfer were dubious at best, it's good to see that he is doing the right thing now by allowing it.
So here is a gif of Gus, just 'cuz.

It's TOO EARLY!
|24 weeks 15 hours ago||Curse of Borges||
This is admittedly a really good point, but is a kid really doomed to fail just because Borges recruited him? Seems a little memeish and distanced from reality. Speight is only a RS freshman at this point and could potentially have four years of being tutored by Harbaugh rather than Borges.
How is this a knock against Speight? Lots of QBs train with a private QB coach to get better and get more exposure. And that happens in high school, college, and the NFL. Also, lots of parents who see potential in their kid pay for private lessons or put together highlight reels. I feel like your assessment of Speight is a little unfair.
|24 weeks 17 hours ago||This is about as well-reasoned as anything||
|24 weeks 17 hours ago||Hey, I'm 6'2"||
Sure, I think it's tall enough, but I'm not an NFL scout, and apparently people knock on 6'2" guys because it's not "prototypical" height (which is what, 6'4"? bfd). Of those four QBs you mentioned, only really two are franchise QBs in the NFL. If Malzone is the next Brees, then I say hell yeah. But what if Speight or Gentry is the next Luck?
|24 weeks 17 hours ago||I just figure people haven't||
I just figure people haven't had their coffee yet.
Look, we're not talking about who the actual starter is... at least, I'm not. Obviously, in that sense, it's way too early to know. Okay, yeah, I'll grant that we haven't seen much of Malzone or Speight beyond high school highlight tape, but to be fair, we haven't seen much of Peppers beyond high school highlight tape either (he wasn't exactly Mr. Impact last season), and everyone seems to think he'll start for sure based on that.
Really, I was hoping the discussion would go this way naturally, but I guess I'll just come out and say it: Which would you rather have as the starter: a 6'2" accurate guy who has the potential to be the next Drew Brees or Tom Brady, or a 6'6" beast who looks like Harbaugh could make him into the next Andrew Luck?
I'm really torn on it. I want to give the nod to Speight since he's had the benefit of redshirting and getting through a year of physical training. I don't feel too great about throwing Malzone to the wolves as true freshman, either. But if Malzone is really Mr Accurate and he's ready to play then hell fuck yeah I want that guy as the starter.
Obviously whoever gets chosen will be OK because of Harbaugh. No one is questioning that. (At least, again, I'm not.) If anything strikes me as pointless, it's the "Whoever Harbaugh" and the "Too Early for My Brain to Even Think about this" responses. Those things don't contribute anything to the discussion other than to hurr hurr mgosnark. Excuse me for wanting to talk about football and there being barely anything to talk about.
