I’m okay with it. Found out about mine in 2014. Choroideremia is what I have. Because it is a slow progression of loss I am able to plan ahead. So that makes things easier.

I’m doing better. Still legally blind and there isn’t a cure. Progressive vision loss. Also, my ex had an affair with a coworker and left me. I’ve been sorting out how life will be for me without the ability to drive. There are some really great resources out there. I’m going to be ok.

I think there is reason to be cautious with expectations. You’ve pointed out a few and those things are hard to ignore. I am happy about this addition because it adds some depth. The unreasonable side of me also has some data here to think this might work out really well.

Money is being raised to fund research for gene therapy, which is thought to be a potential cure for Hunter Syndrome, at projectalive.org. The progression of my disease will result in total blindness. Like Hunter Syndrome, we do our own fundraising as well. I have volunteered for the trials that are taking place with gene therapy, but have not been accepted to one yet. One trial wanted someone with poor acuity and one wanted participants with less central vision. I have approximately 5 degrees of central vision remaining.

He goes on to talk about being strung along and never getting the offer they were promising him. Some of the players talk about being upset that they weren't shown any interest until their sophomore year. Yikes.
Our HVAC guy said the same thing. I believe we use MERV-4 filters but I have a calendar reminder set to change every 30 days. You don’t want to leave the cheap filters in for long.
These are the times I think about a whole house generator. I think that I might finally pull the trigger on one. If anyone has one, any tips or advice on brand or fuel type?
Penn State has two things we don’t in the last few years. A win over OSU and a B1G title. We are right there per recruiting metrics - actually better than Penn State per average composite.
