A couple things -
1. You need 100 points to create a new topic on the board. You have 1.
2. If you were to create this thread, it would be deleted about 5 minutes after it was created.
You're new to posting here, so I would take some time to look at the FAQ under the MGoBoard tab up top. Most of what you have posted has been discussed at length and it would not be discussed as much as you might think. It would more likely result in people asking for it to be deleted. Change is coming to the coaching staff, you just have to be patient for a while.

Dave Brandon being so bad at his job may be the gift that just keeps on giving.

Saban in the B1G would be like LeBron on a college roster. I feel the same way about Harbaugh in the B1G too FWIW.
|1 day 3 hours ago||You're right - they are||
You're right - they are lacking in a lot of other defensive categories, which is probably why the poster I was responding to called it "gimmicky." In that sense, I would retract my snark about the turnovers being the thing that makes them good.
|1 day 3 hours ago||Except for the fact that in||
Except for the fact that in 2013-2014 VCU was #1 in the country on turnover percentage (25.6%), #1 in steal percentage (15.7%), then you would probably be correct with your assessment that it is just a gimmick.
VCU is bad at rebounding and letting opponents get to the free throw line, but they are very effective at getting teams to turn the ball over.
|1 day 5 hours ago||Agreed. I was at the Notre||
Agreed. I was at the Notre Dame game and stayed to the end. Even as the minutes wound down in the fourth quarter, and the Notre Dame fans began chanting "Nah nah nah nah - hey hey hey, goodbye" I stayed and cheered this team on.
Each game this year after the App St game has been filled with not a lot of joy. I've kept watching, kept cheering, kept believing. Dropped passes, turnovers, players and coaches looking lost. I've witnessed it all and all the while continued to watch what some could not stomach.
We're going to get waxed this weekend. Barring some kind of miracle coupled with an epic meltdown by Ohio State - this game will most likely be over by the second quarter. Just because I think that is going to happen, doesn't mean I won't be cheering for them. It also doesn't mean I'm a whiner.

Notre Dame and the National Championship they won this September would like a word with you Mr. Hoke.
|1 day 7 hours ago||Oh you mean like this||
Oh you mean like this quote?
"I’m not afraid to admit I am wrong. Last night I tweeted that Dave Brandon would be fired early next week and I was WRONG. Dave Brandon will be allowed to resign today by University of Michigan President Mark Schlissel. A press conference will be held at 1:30 to make it official."
Or this one?
"I’m told that Brandon’s refusal to resign has “complicated” the issue, meaning they will be forced to fire him and pay him out through the remainder of his contract."
The guy basically stabs at air. He essentially gets lucky every once in a while. If you spend any amount of time reading his stuff after something happens - it reads that he is not informed of a whole lot and uses what little he does know to make the rest up.
|1 day 8 hours ago||Gregg Henson says what people||
Gregg Henson says what people want to hear, so they tune in. In this day and age, something that was a tweeted opinion can become reported as fact. Since someone reported it, it's credible. Even though the original source was someone's opinion. (Harbaugh's wife doesn't want to leave the bay area, for example) Henson takes a lot of this speculation, mixes it in with some factual information, and PRESTO! - people are clicking his articles and citing him as a credible source.
His defenders will say that he knew about the letter the former players wrote, which he did but he got all the facts about the letter completely wrong.
His defenders also say that he called Brady Hoke as the head coach before it was announced. All I can say is that sometimes assclowns get lucky.
My guess is that we are in a part of the timeline where the information you might be seeking (who and when will there be a new head coach) is just not available. After the Ohio State game, we will get into a different part of the timeline where people will be engaged to start doing things. That's when Sam Webb and John Bacon will start having things to "report."

|3 days 10 hours ago||The Norfleet return called||
The Norfleet return called back actually made me mumble "we can't have nice things." I was happy to see Gardner get some nice runs including his touchdown scamper. I rewound it a couple times when he was high stepping to try to juke the defender. By the end of the game my face looked like Hoke's did, as all the fun had been sucked out of this game to watch Edsall over celebrate the win.

Marques Colston vs Ryan Matthews at flex. Bal @ NO and StL @ SD. I'm leaning to Colston because StL has been playing really well. PPR.
I'm starting Morris even though I figure he's going to have rough sledding.

Currently they are the #31 team according to kenpom. We are currently #13 FWIW.

With the work you do on football with FEI and S&P+, you would probably dig a subscription to kenpom. There are some really tough matchups on our non-conference schedule.

Gregg Henson - I'm not going to link to the article but if you Google it you will read exactly what Sam is talking about.
"One name that is firmly planted in the Harbaugh camp is Tyrone Wheatley, the RB’s Coach for the Buffalo Bills."
That's the quote to save you some time.

Too lazy to look it up, but is there a scenario where we finish 6-6 or 7-5, and ND finishes 7-5 and we get a rematch with those hose bags? Most likely won't happen, but i could see a greed hungry bowl committee licking their lips at that potential matchup.
|1 week 4 days ago||I think a similar concern,||
I think a similar concern, one expressed by some here and indulged in by myself, was that Tebow made Urban Meyer. I would say that his Utah years would negate that and now his success at Ohio State would as well.
For Harbaugh, he had success at San Diego (29-6 over 3 seasons) and has been to the NFC Championship game or beyond in all 3 of his previous seasons at the 49ers. If you totally discount the years at Stanford (which is an odd thing to do) and throw in the other things on his resume (NFL QB for a decade, NFL QB Coach, huge coaching family pedigree), I still think he's a pretty safe bet.
