Look about you!
|23 hours 24 min ago||Agreed||
I don't really want to open the Pandora's box of appropriate punishments again here, but I agree with you.
|23 hours 34 min ago||Sort of||
Although it seems like JH's philosophy is that you have to earn the right to get better. So suspending a player from practice is exactly the kind of thing he would do, right?

Sorry, this was supposed to be a response to ijohnb above.
|2 days 6 hours ago||I think you may be imputing a||
I think you may be imputing a little more long-range planning to espn than they are capable of. A lot of their reporting is the conspiracy theory of the day, regardless of the long-term viability of the sport.
|6 days 23 hours ago||I thought MGoBlog was better than this||
Mods should have deleted this entire conversation hours ago. The inability to recognize that calling Kate Upton fat is an issue is disgusting.
If I'm wrong about that, send me to Bolivia. I'll do my time willingly.
|6 days 23 hours ago||Saying||
Saying "I clearly won" after I specifically rebutted what you said is not how you win an argument.
And "not fit" in the context of being a supermodel and "overweight" are completely different things, not that I think either is completely appropriate in this context.
|1 week 2 min ago||I said your comment was||
I said your comment was sexist. Please explain how the specifically factual post above was obfuscation.
|1 week 10 min ago||You have no idea what you're saying||
It doesn't matter if YOU would call him fat, too. Women and men are objectively treated differently by society. Some studies estimate that up to 75% of women 25 to 45 have or have had psychologically diagnosable eating disorders. The number for men? Less than 7%.
And there's a difference between becoming obese and keeping yourself at the level of fitness at which Kate Upton has kept herself. It's people like you that create unrealistic body expectations that lead to thousands of young women committing suicide.
|1 week 28 min ago||Wanting it||
Wanting it in your head? Totally fine, you can think what you want.
Posting it on a public forum? You're being sexist. Calling a woman fat is a value-laden statement regardless of her employment. And calling a model fat (who is clearly much more fit than the majority of the american population) is enforcing a culture of negative body image that destroys young women's lives. MGoBlog is better than this shit.

It's sarcasm, because of how blind you are to your sexism.
|1 week 2 hours ago||exactly the same||
Because calling engineers bad at math totally creates body image issues in young girls. Plus we all know engineers have historically been discriminated against by valuing them solely on a single dimension of their personalities.
|1 week 5 days ago||So you're right: you are||
So you're right: you are allowed to prevent someone from drinking as part of probation, or take away the ability to own firearms, or many other things.
|1 week 5 days ago||Yeah, ok, personal attacks||
Yeah, ok, personal attacks are totally helpful in a reasoned discussion. Nice one, bud.
|1 week 5 days ago||Your definition of alcoholism||
Your definition of alcoholism is absolutely false, and it's dangerous path towards treating all college students like they are alcoholics (which they are not). He was likely drinking for most of the day on Saturday, which may have been the case for about a third of students on campus this weekend.
|1 week 5 days ago||That's legitimate, but that||
That's legitimate, but that doesn't mean you can simply outlaw it. The probation system works functionally the same way.
|1 week 5 days ago||For the record, I think the||
For the record, I think the DUI is an incredibly serious offense. I just think drinking on a Saturday night months after it happened (and not driving) doesn't tell you anything.
|1 week 5 days ago||Why are you so quick to label||
Why are you so quick to label him an alcoholic? Diluting the definition does nothing to help the people who really need it, and demonizes behavior that is almost certainly nothing more than being a dumb college kid.
|1 week 5 days ago||100 percent agree. Drinking||
100 percent agree. Drinking and driving is a crazy serious and terrible thing, but you punish someone for the actual offenses they commit. Drinking alone shouldn't be one of them.

Personally, I find that format to be awesome. He can get more in depth into issues than most news-type shows.

Love the idea, hopefully the execution can mirror the thought behind it.

Wow, you're actually the worst.

Because players leave and get hurt. And with a roster cap of just over 80 (what is it? 82?), if you take about 23-25 per class you're fine assuming normal attrition.

but I upvoted it anyway

Um...mitch mcgary? GRIII? Some short term memory on this board. Chatman was the highest ranked recruit of this class and looks like the worst player so far. Beilein can pick em. We're doing fine.
|8 weeks 3 days ago||Meniscus injuries can||
Meniscus injuries can actually be a bit longer depending on where the tear is. If it's in the area that doesn't get blood flow, the doctors generally just snip around it and recovery time is quick (but much higher risk of arthritis, etc down the line). If the tear is in the area that had blood flow, docs will usually stitch it up and the recovery time can be longer: more like ~3 months.

Fair, but we've had smart and non-speedy backs who have been really successful here (mike hart, anyone?). Smith is a junior, yeah? If we strike out on Weber, I for one would love to grab higdon.

I feel like the running backs will benefit more than anyone else, just from actually having places to run.
