|1 week 14 hours ago||Unfortunately||
Nebraska is now 52. Which is one of the reasons why RPI is terrible. We (based on 1-2 places) now have 7 top 50 wins rather than 9.
|1 week 3 days ago||I thought||
I thought fluids were liquids and gases...right? Because they fill their container? The last time I took Chem was in high school though, and that was some years ago.
|1 week 3 days ago||Respect.||
You guys are the people that I think got the most screwed by this situation. Thanks for the story, and I'm really sorry that happened.
|1 week 3 days ago||Wrong again||
Ignorance of a policy that isn't clearly communicated actually is an excuse, both in a situation like this where the student group should be on the side of the most dedicated students and, you know, in real life. Stating that something is obvious doesn't make it true, especially when it's wrong. Those people were also there at 7am, lined up at the place the line always starts. Why was it in a different place this time? Why are there consequences that aren't laid out?
I don't like calling people out, but making an account just to trash this thread is kind of a shitty thing to do, by the way. If you're going to do that, at least inform everyone of your position in the situation (I'm assuming based on your statements so far that you are one of the maize rage core that started the second line, please correct me if I'm wrong).
|1 week 3 days ago||Agree/disagree||
I agree with your last paragraph; seats for this should be assigned by overall loyalty over the course of the year, not necessarily who gets there first. Implementation might be tough but I think there's certainly a better solution there.
But that's the way the system is, and a single email that says "Maize rage line opens at 7am" is not nearly enough of a warning to anyone. First of all, not closely reading one of the million emails that Michigan Basketball sends doesn't remotely classify someone as not a "responsible adult." Second of all, that's a completely ambiguous statement...why would someone not in Maize Rage care when the Maize Rage line opens? What does "Maize Rage line" even mean? And why does that mean that people there before 7am should be relegated to the back of a line of Maize Rage core members that arrive right at 7? The email mentions nothing about consequences or even gives any notice to people that they shouldn't arrive before that time.
The bridge analogy isn't at all useful here. People can tell when there isn't a bridge over a chasm. People very clearly can't tell that a line at the gate (where it's been all year) at 6:50am is not going to be whatever line is enforced at 7am.

Best player on the best team. End debate.
|1 week 4 days ago||If there was an email||
If there was an email, I didn't see it. I think if something like this is going to be enforced in the way it was, it should be made MUCH more clear...for example, it could have been explicitly laid out in the email I got saying that my claim had been cleared for the game.
It's unclear to me why the people who were there at 7 (regardless of the bull rush) were not moved to the front of the line originally, since that line was only about 20 people long when the back of the original line started rushing in just the same way down there.
Edit: Just checked my email. The only thing I see that even mentions this (and it's pretty ambiguous) is one of the emails from Michigan Basketball that says "Maize Rage line opens at 7:00am, gates open at 10:30am." I can't find anything that says anything about lining up before that time, and it's not only reasonable but incredibly predictable that this situation would occur. The AD and Maize Rage both should have had a plan in place to deal with the situation (and maybe more than one security guard in place at 6:45 am if they were serious about keeping people from lining up).
|1 week 4 days ago||Yep||
Out of all the people in the situation, the one who definitely handled it the best was the Associate AD.
|1 week 4 days ago||tl;dr||
Kidding, of course. Want to reiterate: everyone was trying to figure out the best solution for a tough situation. I disagree with the Maize Rage leader's quick decision, but definitely don't mean a personal slight or anything of the sort.

It's the only word with more than six letters!

If I pulled out pencil and paper/paced myself better (8 questions left), I think I would have gotten higher. Lots of quick math.
|1 week 6 days ago||Thomas||
Does he have the size to play that LB/S SAM position? I could see him fitting in well there if he's big enough.
|2 weeks 3 days ago||does this hurt OSU at all?||
Apart from damages to the stellar reputation most around the country hold for OSU, does this hurt them at all in the eyes of the NCAA? He's still a student there, right? Any sort of sanctions or anything in order? I thought selling autographs was against the rules, but I don't really have any idea.
|3 weeks 4 days ago||Great news.||
Without being too political, this is fantastic news. Hope he has a great career. This has been a long time coming.
|5 weeks 14 hours ago||T Johnson||
T Johnson goes off, 25 points. We still win by like 20.
|7 weeks 5 days ago||To be honest||
I'd prefer to have funchess catching the ball in a screen and chesson blocking than vice versa. Funchess is a fantastic football player, but he's never been even decent at blocking.
|8 weeks 9 hours ago||Road games are hard||
Road games are hard, man. Especially when the home team is pretty reliant on foul shooting...
|8 weeks 3 days ago||Almost certain||
Almost certain Harris won't pass Chesson. We need our receivers to know how to block as well as go out and catch passes, and Chesson will be light years ahead of Harris in that respect.
|8 weeks 4 days ago||Still going to bball!||
I'm going to be braving the storm to watch Michigan kick the shit out of northwestern at home (knock on wood, if it isn't covered by snow).
|8 weeks 6 days ago||Pretty sure||
It was still a total flop and there was minimal to no contact at all, in which case it is not the correct call. Yes, hitting a shooter after the shot goes up is a foul; no, NOT hitting a shooter is never a foul. That was my issue with the call.
|8 weeks 6 days ago||Not working for me||
I can't see anything, just FYI. Try embedding again?
Edit: free points apparently!
|8 weeks 6 days ago||Yeah no worries||
Until we hear something from someone who matters, I'm not worried about it. The twitters of 17-year-olds are all over the place.
|8 weeks 6 days ago||Yes||
But he also tweeted about 100 times in the past day, and two of them were also pro-Michigan. So...no manufactured controversies, please
|8 weeks 6 days ago||He actually was||
I was vaguely watching it while working, and he kept making sweet plays. Huge stiffarms, great cuts in the hole, etc.
|8 weeks 6 days ago||How do you think||
How do you think Speight would react if we offer O'Connor?
|9 weeks 8 hours ago||Herm||
Herm loves that too
|9 weeks 8 hours ago||Peppers almost got it again||
Just powered the blocker almost back into the kicker. But there was a timeout.
Round 3, fg is good
|9 weeks 8 hours ago||Peppers blocked FG!||
Peppers blocked it, Jackson run back for TD!
Edit: apparently it was illegal. because this game is stupid.
|9 weeks 9 hours ago||He's probably done||
for the day. Different QB on the past drive
