I have some family that lived in that area for about 15 years. The area of the city north of downtown is pretty nice. I would look somewhere west of 202, near Concord Mall or the Brandywine Creek park area. Aroud Brandywine Zoo is really nice, but pretty pricey. Southwest of Wilmington along 95 there is also Christiana--I've heard good things but I've never actually been there.
There are definitely areas that you won't want to go, but I think Wilmington is actually a really nice area over all. My family loved living there and it is a great location with the proximity to New York, Washington D.C. and Philadelphia. Astra Zeneca and many major banks are based there too so there are some really nice parts of town.
The word on the street here in Provo is that Taysom HIll has been at every team meeting since the new coach Sitaki got here a few weeks ago, and that he is at least going to stay through Spring practice and see what happens. A few guys that I know on the team confirmed that as well.
I think he stays and at least competes in Spring ball, and if he feels like he won't be the starter, or at least get enough playing time to make it worth it, that he then transfers to UVA. He is a finance major here at BYU, and so the UVA business porgram is pretty appealing to him.
He is very hands off with the offense. The current OC spent two seasons with RichRod at Arizona, so he tried to implement a spread here with Taysom Hill. The current scheme is more of a passing spread. When he first started as coach he had two good QBs (John Beck and Max Hall) and they ran more of a West Coast offense
Bronco is known more as a defensive coach. He has played the 3-4 in the past, and likes to mix up the pressure and bring linebackers and safeties from different places. The defense has been solid, but not great, this season.
I am currently a BYU student and all of the reasonable BYU fans are sad about Bronco leaving.
I think the reason that he left was that he was no longer content here. There is a very vocal element of the BYU fanbase that is very irrational. They think that BYU should win a national championship every year, and are never satisfied. Especially with Utah having a fairly good season, Bronco was taking unjustified heat from the fans.
A lot of people wanted him to be fired last season (which I think would have been crazy), and people were also mad about our 9-3 season this year (with a true freshman QB). I think he was a great coach, and will be hard to replace.
This is different than serving a mission. Missions are two years long, and are usually taken between high school and the start of college, or after the athlete's freshman year. Jamal is also not a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, so he wouldn't be going on a mission.
Jamal is one of the best running backs that we have ever had, and is the perfect change of pace to Taysom Hill. He is in the same major as my wife and is such a good guy. I hate to miss seeing him play this year.
I'm in Norther Virginia, about twenty miles from the epicenter, and we were shaking for a solid 10-15 seconds. A small one hit at first that lasted for about 5 seconds, and then the big one hit about 30 seconds later. Building are fine, but there have been a lot of traffic incidents.
I would agree that most people aren't that happy in high school, and that part of it was figuring out who I was. But I used own free will to chose the thing that made me happy, and that was my religion. And I would argue that I had the strength within myself, but that my religion was what showed me that I had that strengh. If anything it gives me more free will, not less.
I respect your opinion, but I do not think that I am indoctrinated. I go to BYU, and I am a member of the LDS church because I want to be. I chose this of my own free will because I believe it and it makes me happy. Before I got to college I was just like every other non-Mormon high school kid. I had time to "enjoy my youth" and honestly I wasn't happy. So am I really indoctrinated if my religion makes me happier than anything else in my entire life?

The Honor Code is the same for everyone; both athletes and regular students are treated equally. While it is true that bad stuff still happens on campus, it is nowhere near is bad as at most schools.
The reason that it may seem like athletes are held to a higher standard is that they are just in the public spotlight. As the name implies, most of the Honor Code stuff is up to you to report. I don't really think athletes are treated differently, you just don' hear about the regular students who are kicked out (I know of a few myself).
The Honor Code definitely has a way for you to learn from your mistakes. For minor offenses you are just put on probation. Even with larger offenses it is very difficult to be kicked out of school forever, with the exception of if you committed a crime. Even if you are suspended or kicked out of school, there is usually a way for you to eventually work your way back.
It is also not true that non-LDS athletes are told that it isn't as strict for them. It is just as strict for everyone, LDS or not. None of the coaches would ever purposely represent it that way either. Everyone knows exactly what is expected of them when they sign with BYU.

The way I look at it, I don't judge anyone else for their lifestyle, so why judge mine? It isn't draconian or restrictive at all. I honestly barely even notice it. It isn't any different than the rules that a faithful member of our church would live by.
And I know that many people here were defending BYU and the LDS church. It was still extremelly frustrating to watch my fellow Michigan fans bash something that means so much to me. But I know that it was a small minority, and I really appreciate your comments. Thank you

That game was awesome. Utah State is our biggest rival in basketball so beating them is always good. The administration is definitely not happy about that though. They make a big deal about having good sportsmanship here.

As a current BYU student I really like this move. This has been discussed in alumni circles for a year or two now, and I think that it is a good idea. BYU has a good national following, and regularly fills stadiums. A few years ago they played at Boston College, and about half of the stands were BYU fans.
BYU is like Notre Dame in that it has a large following because of the religious institution that it is tied to. Many people believe that the majority of the LDS faith is located in Utah, but that is actually a myth. This allows people, like me, who have grown up on the East Coast to go to more games, and many people will jump at the opportunity to do that
I go to BYU and it's not that bad. I am sorry if your father had bad experiences of Mormons at Utah, they were also in the wrong if they were treating your father poorly because of that. The Honor Code is just a way of helping people keep their religion, not about preventing people from having fun. In the press conferecne and interviews after the game both Bob Bradley and Landon Donovan said that the ref refused to tell them the call both after he made it, and after the game.
My favorite part of the whole thing was when the British commentator said that he as a neutral observer that the ref was a nightmare. Alexi Lalas also had a good quote at the end when he said the guy was a total disgrace
You know, if I recall correctly, Jimmer Fredetter dropped 33 last time season at SDSU, so I guess the joke was on them. Aren't they coached by our favorite guy Steve Fisher too?. Anyways, I can take a joke, but that actually is a really sore subject around Provo. There are a lot of people who are really offended by that student section.
I am actually going to be attending BYU in the fall and I am curious about this move. There has been talk among BYU alums that BYU might be get left out because of its religion. I am not sure I buy that, but I am curious on your opinion. The thing with the honor code is that the athletes know what they are getting into when they sign. I am disapointed that Unga got kicked out, but it is important to preserve the atmosphere and spirit that BYU is trying to promote. I know some people disagree with me, but I really appreciate that the university will stick with what it believes in and not bend the rules for a high profile football player, unlike under the previous coach's administration

I am watching the USA-England game at Dupont Circle in DC. For anyone else in the DC area that is interested they are putting up two big screens and showing all three games on that Saturday. The first game, South Korea v Greece, kicks off at 7:30 am and the US game starts at 2:30.
My favorite theory so far is that Jacob ends up being the villain, or the representation of evil. For most of the season it seems like the Locke impersonator is the bad guy. It seems just like the writers of Lost to throw a changeup like that at the end of the series
Halak has been playing out of his mind the last few games. Even though they eliminated my Caps, I'm rooting for the Habs in this one. I could never root for Crosby or the Penguins.
It's a sad night in D.C. Most of us were worried with the defense and goaltenders going into the playoffs, but I definitely did not expect this. The call on the Ovie goal they didn't count was a little iffy, but the Caps still have no excuses for blowing a 3-1 series lead. This one's going to hurt for awhile.

Alright, thanks for clearing that up. I do agree that it might not be ideal to higlight his scoring ability. I really hope Monroe stays another year because he does fit well in the offense. Gaurds are important to the Gtown offense, but Monroe is what makes it click. The ability to make the passes from the pinch post like he does to hit cutters is amazing. I do agree with the points you have made, but I think he will be a good pro player given time.
Im curious why you think that Monroe is hurt by Georgetown's system. I'm a huge Georgetown basketball fan, so I admit that I am biased, but i think that JT3's system has helped Monroe be a better all around player. He is the best passer for a big guy that I've ever seen, and loves getting his teammates involved. The only knock on him is that sometimes he isn't aggressive enough on the offensive end.
I definitely agree. I think drafting Cousins would be a bad idea. I'm still not convinced he's going to be all that great in the pros. I would much rather have one of the other guys you mentioned, like Wall or Aminu
Thats a very good potential 1 vs. 2 matchup in Division D, with the Altima coupe against the Genesis coupe. I am biased because i drive an Altima, and love it, but both are great cars.

Well as much as I wanted to stay in the DC area after living there my entire life, it's hard to pass up on BYU's tuition ($2,000 a semester).

This game has been a tough one for me. I love Michigan, but I am going to BYU next year. I was pretty torn, but Michigan is always my number one.
