Didn't they already have a

They already have a top RB already committed before Walker committed. He didn't know he wasn't the only one...when there was already a RB there?

I don't think that was done

I don't think that was done by the OSU photoshop guy. Like Michigan, all their work has Urbs' signature somewhere on the image and this one does not.

Redfield never had an offer

Redfield never had an offer from OSU. They were recruiting him but they never fully offered. Right now they're banking on Vonn Bell and it's starting to look good from Bell to OSU. Bill Green talked to Bell's coach today and he said if he had to sign today it would be OSU no contest. Still a long way to go though with an in-home visit from Saban and 3 official visits to OSU-Bama-Tennessee.

Here's the full quote from Green

“Even though I have named Clemson my top school I would still say I’m pretty open,” said Green. “I’m probably going to narrow my list down early or late summer after I make some more visits. “Ohio State, Michigan, Virginia Tech, and Clemson are going to be tough to say no to and things could always change, especially as I take more visits.”

Jamal Marcus, while listed as

Jamal Marcus, while listed as a dlinemen in high school, will play as a linebacker in college.

Gambrell was kicked off the

Gambrell was kicked off the team for beating up his pregnant gf and Clark was kicked for his second or third dui. It's not like they were just released because Meyer didn't like them. I would say those are two solid reasons.

Congrats to you guys on the

Congrats to you guys on the Sugar Bowl. I think you should be able to handle the frauds of VT pretty easily. Hell of a turn around with Hoke in there. I'll be rooting for you and the rest of the B1G.

Goodluck to you guys getting

Goodluck to you guys getting into the Sugar. The B1G needs to get back to normal with it being OSU-Michigan and everyone else.

On the "Boarding House"

On the "Boarding House" feature on Bucknuts on either Thursday or Friday it was said that a "well-informed" former player has said the decision has already been made that it's going to be Urban Meyer.

Now whether the decision has been made to go after him first or both sides have arleady been talking...well that wasn't mentioned. There's also this. Herbstreit, about a week was on the radio and stated that if the job is offered to Meyer he will take it....but I (and I'm sure all of you) have a pretty good recollection of Les Miles to Michigan being a done deal.

It's been stated a couple times before and I agree with it, OSU really needs to get away from anyone connected with Tressel. I really think the OSU admin has to cleanse themselves of anything to do with Tressel just for the sake of showing the NCAA what has been done. Here's where you can make jokes and jokes and jokes about how well OSU has handled everything. Dantonio would in more ways than one be a step back for the program as a new head coach. Right now, it's Meyer or bust for most of the OSU fanbase.

I really think it's going to come down to how severe the sanctions happen to be if Meyer comes or not. If they're fairly light, everything I've seen shows me Meyer to OSU being a very high likelihood of happening. This is my opinion, I don't claim to be any sort of an insider whatsoever. From the info I've read that comes from known insiders on Bucknuts and other places, it's a very good chance of Meyer to OSU.

I don't know whether I really want Meyer as a head coach. Obviously the recruiting and his ability to win wherever he has been is an enormous plus but are we going to be needing to do a coaching search around 2016 or so? Of course if he can throw in a couple of national titles in that time frame and then retire again...well I would be ok with that.

Urban hung out with Gene

Urban hung out with Gene Smith and Gee while doing the Akron game earlier in the season. Everything I've heard, which is just rumor has Urban nowhere near Columbus next season.

We had a post on this on

We had a post on this on Bucknuts. I believe it was stated to be a hip pointer and to miss a week or two at the very most.

I'm ok with any of these.

I'm ok with any of these.

Bowl bands? Like rings after

Bowl bands? Like rings after winning a bowl game? Ok! And then you make a joke about selling said bands/rings!

The big problem with Texas is

The big problem with Texas is the Longhorn Network and ESPN. One of the proponents which is causing A&M to move to the SEC was the Longhorn Network because it's going to be playing at least two games per season on that channel. Now, we obviously have the BTN and since Delany and ESPN aren't the best of friends, there could be some things that might be hard to get around with these stubborn entities.

So ESPN was correct there was a letter sent. Correct that case remains open. But all indications are nothing new will come of it.

Sounds as if additional violation NCAA refers to is nothing OSU is worried about. Old news, just not included in original allegations.

Boise State's COI hearing took 13 hours. Tennessee's took 11. USC's took almost three days. Ohio State's was over by lunch. #B1GSPEED

It simply wouldn't matter if

It simply wouldn't matter if there actually were UM athletes selling autographs because they would still have to have someone talk or have proof with checks. Denard has a ton of stuff on ebay as does nearly every top college football player around the country. Andrew Luck, Lamichael James, Trent Richardson, you can go on and on. Unless there is someone willing to talk, it's a non-story.

Everything that I've seen

Everything that I've seen online has stated that the investigation was wrapped up when OSU received the news that they weren't getting hit with LOIC or failure to monitor.

OSU is flat out denying they even received a letter from the NCAA. If you have a 24/7 account, you can read Bucknuts' story on OSU's denial of said letter from the NCAA.

Also, if you're listening to The Fan online, you will get crap rock during the commercial time.

Yea, that was really good.

Yea, that was really good.

Bucknuts also has a story

Bucknuts also has a story about Pat Elflein comitting tomorrow. He received an offer within the past week and is apparently visiting OSU tomorrow to commit in person. He's a conscensus 3* player from Scout, Rivals, 24/7. His more notable offers are Notre Dame, MSU, Tennesee, Pitt. and Illinois.

Playing in the NFL for 14

Playing in the NFL for 14 years with 3 super bowl rings probably draws some interest. He played as a DE in college but switched to LB for the Pats. With it being this close to the season, this has to be the best name that they could get and if Fickell is gone next year having a year coaching OSU's linebackers probably doesn't look too bad on a resume if you're trying to get into coaching.

According to Bucknuts, it will be announced on Monday that he is the new coach.

he's being recruited for the defensive side of the ball.

I know tressel would tell kids to use all of their trips to make sure if they wanted to be buckeye if thy ever felt on the fence. recruits would back up his notion as well especially if they were already committed to osu. typically in interviews they would state that tressel told hem to do this. not sure if hoke has the same mentality or not but just something I thought you might like to know. also, paid trips to Florida or USC can't sound too bad to a 17-18 year old kid.

sorry this doesn't revolve around Kalis but word is from the osu training camps is that Dunn is now solid with osu. he was apparently in Columbus on Thursday with his family and visiting with coaches and talking to at least one families recruit in derrick green. I've also seen all of the bill green tweets about Dunn decommitting this week sometime so its hard to know what to think. anyway, that was just the info from bucknuts.

About 3-4 months ago bucknuts moved from independent to 24/7 and while some of the members complained because of change the vast majority including myself love it. if you get a subscription to one of the sites, that means you have access to all the other sites premium articles. the only tho.g you can't see on other sites are the forums that are marked "VIP". Half the time they aren't marked that anyway because you have to manually mark it that. pretty great setup overall and even without having a Michigan site up yet, there's quite a few Michigan posters over there. I would say a guy by the name of "cwoodson" is typically the most informed of the group. he seems like a pretty good guy.

I'm a member over on bucknuts and I was definitely turned away from some of the people on there. wishing injury tons kid by will never know or ever meet just for the fact that he spurned their team? pretty pathetic. a lot of the fans just seem to be in a cloudy haze and just want to place blame on anyone but themselves. they just seem completely lost in their own lives that they have to be internet tough guys all of a sudden. I find myself posting less and less on the front row because I just want to bash my head in because of the content of the threads.

storm Klein and john Simon are now suing SI. Columbus radio station 97.1 said he NCAA have cleared 5 of the 9 new players that were introduced in the SI article. Klein and Simon should be 2 of the 5. Klein doesn't have any tags and still has his awards and Simon has 3 tags wig his dad claiming he had them in high school and that his dad has all his awards at his home.

first I've heard of anything like this and I frequent bucknuts nonstop. right now Oregon seems to be the one in about to be getting hit. this is coming from bucknuts and the 24/7 blue board. who knows if it has legs but its coming from more than just buckeye posters as well. apparently something's supposed to come out about it from yahoo next week. once again, no idea if its true but its just what I've read on multiple forums...because they're correct 100% of the time.

So you're gathering a list for the NCAA on NCAA violations that OSU has committed because the NCAA doesn't already know about or have on file already?

I was definitely shocked to find wormley not on the list. I think bill kurelic or Duane long had him ranked in the top 3 or 5 of Ohio. how you can't have a Midwest analyst just shows where rivals is headed.

Dunn committed to OSU after

Dunn committed to OSU after Warren Ball. Ball committed on the 1st of Sept. and Dunn on the 27th. No one has been signed. Your last sentence is the only thing that's relevant.

I think the fact that Meyer

I think the fact that Meyer has won at every school he's been the head coach is reason enough you probably don't want him at OSU. His last season at Florida wasn't much to write home or anywhere about but much of it being because of his qb's lack of being a qb and more of a turnover machine. In Meyer's defense I do believe Brantley was the 3rd best QB in the class right behind Clausen and Mallet.

I do agree that recruiting kids out of Florida would be much more difficult if he were at OSU instead of a Florida school but he would already have one of his former assistant coaches with him in Stan Drayton. Drayton being hired on by OSU mainly because of his knowledge of recruiting the bejesus out of Florida.

He was a TE and WR coach

He was a TE and WR coach under Earle Bruce. He's from Toledo and has stated that ND and OSU are his dream jobs. Things have also been said about him wanting the job after Tressel retires (this was said before it was found that Tressel lied but after tatgate was originally found out.) He's currently working for ESPN/not coaching. Things are happening in Columbus.

Tattoos to OSU are like

Tattoos to OSU are like spinach to Popeye.

To make matters even worse he

To make matters even worse he sounds like some OSU fans I see on Bucknuts all the time. Most BCS Bowl appearances/most BCS wins/3 national title appearances/1 national title victory/7 or 8 B1G titles...what more is needed to be elite?

Wouldn't that be how a

Wouldn't that be how a Michigan fan would want it though? Because Hoke is doing such a good job it took an unfair advantage for a 5 star qb to choose the national champs over Michigan? It would almost be the only positive if Pike chose Auburn over Michigan.
