Well...

I guess that was the whole point! They got it done though...

Why?

You never know what can happen.

Awww... I heare you!

I have a 16 y.o. and I know what you mean. Well, at least your heart rate can relax a little for the suspense huh?

Naw...

I had fun, like I said... this of course dismissing mindless trolling like Mr. Maize4blue over here, we executed on turnovers and committed to the drive when we had the chance and that is what won us the game. The kids needed a faith builder, this was it. Great game, it was a nail biter but fun nonetheless. At least we beat a ranked team, that is what was the most important; trust me Tressell is taking notes.

GoMIke!!

Fantastic point! These young lads have to be won over to the cause. And RR is one more game closer to doing that. ESPN's Mike Mays made a similar commets to yours, with a huge win like this under their belt, their minds should be open to his plan more and he should get more results. This was a great win!!!

Second biggest come from behind victory in Michigan history... amazing win!

Hail to the victors valiant.

Ok, Einstein...

when your comments become relevant to this specific thread, we'll raise an eyebrow to your cause. Until then, you're just hatin' .

INTERCEPTION AND TD!!!!!

Wisconsin botched a play and it was intercepted by Thompson... the game is now tied!

Nice...

Brandon Minor, scores off the Wiscosin Blitz!!!

Ninja

You have more issues than Newsweek...  I don't need a syntax lesson from bench troll. Go find another thread to spew on.  You need to shut your mindless yap and respect opinions that may not be yours.

You don't get the obvious do you?

It is irrelevant that he was offered the job or not. Only that ESPN made a snub that was kinda off color. All else is just spurious lip dribble...

It's a blog... and open forum, i.e. you're supposed to respond.

Colin...

grow some nads, really.

First off...

This is my column, I correspond in the manner I wish. I am well aware of the forum I am in - as to high horse because I depose stupidity... surely you jest. O' Reilly, you are funny... and that comparison is very telling. I am not insulting anyone... I respond to how I am responded too. You respond like an ass... you kicked in yours - pretty clear! This article was not a stat happy data dump... no one asked you to reply at all, if you don't like it... find another thread buddy, it's that simple.

Ok...

here, try this on for size. Poeple don't usually have a problem with so-called "critiques" when that is what they are. Some people made sound and clear points and where answered as such. Most have been baby dribble... people can;t respond to that. It's madness... now think on that.

"So we need to get rid of

"So we need to get rid of the tradition of running zone left on the first play of every game?   But on a side note - are you serious, you can't be serious right - cuz if you are serious you must be that Tuesday's the name (or whatever it was) who went on and on about how blood orgies are not a Michigan value. "

What the heck are you talking about? If you are trying to evoke the abstract to make the cogent... it works in the reverse - try being clear first.

I am sorry...

you are having trouble finding context... I will accept all resposiblity for that. There are winning ideas and loosing ones, we need get with, and stick to one's that are productive. It didn't think that was too difficult, but like I said... my bad if you didn't get it, and there was a typo.

Silence for you... is golden.

Silence for you... is golden. You said absolutely nothing.

60...

Listen... No one loves Michigan football the way I do, but I must strike the same respectful cord you just did. Why? Because that's still subjective... there is always another form of team expression that may be viewed as more devoted. That is why I didn't call anyone out on that... I love the way you young folks here just love your teams, and don't like people talkin smack about your colors... speaking of which. I am totoally cool with that -  Do you know how Michigan got it's Maize and Blue color?

I respect your commentary here just now... but you know there is no true love without accountablility. If you love your colors they won't run when the chips are down. However, if they make mistakes.. do we ignore them, you're not a friend if you do. So, food for thought on that one lol!

Hail to the victors valiant!!

I may...

may agree with that in part. I adore Lloyd Carr, but he was entrenched. Just because I went to school with Andy [not saying you made that point] doesn't have one thing to do with this performance or my credibility. Folks intejected that stuff without considering what the post was about. I digress... But I said it myself, we do lack depth but there are sevral reasons why we do, and only one pertains to anything any one coach can influence, the rest is the BCS... it has changed the game, period.

Are you...

in school at all? do you know what literary prose is. The only people that have a problem with the post are those who never took the time to read, understand and reflect on what was said. What a flock of idiots here.... Don't ask me to verify what you cannot clearly understand. The article was about ESPN's calling Michigan out and nothing more.

I know this...

You don't know shit.

All that was to say what?

Isn't there a global warming over sight hearing you should be? With all that misplaced angst I'd behard pressed to see otherwise...

1. Conspicuously forced allusion to affluence and sophistication (Irish Coffee and Cuban cigar ritual) - check. Yeah, I do well.. and is my custom, what you have a problem with prose now?

2. Subtle racism ("kracka ass kracka southern bubba gump style option coach") - check. Racism - I am black... Eienstein, and I am sure you have idled your time away watching Chris Rock at some time, and to whose references where made in his stand up, so can the pie-pan deep social reverence, there are no points to earn here.

3. Poster who is silent until the first sign of struggle - check.  since your point was not entierly cogent in the first place... I'll merely presume that low flying scud was meant to imply I was somehow one the ropes? Those cigars I enjoy smoking... cost money, and I make plenty of it. Because I know when to take careof business... sucks to be you right now.

4. Garbled, unintellgible conspiracy theory - check. were those new words you learned to imply something?

5. Attempts to assert their knowledge with claims to "insider status" ("I knew Andy Moeller" and "I almost red-shirted" (what does that even mean?)) - check.  Did I open my mouth and make any scurrilous claims at all? Certainly not... just a brief background on who I am. I don't need to socre points with anyone... so can the crap hommie.

Yes, we are a 6" by 6" photo of a woman wearing a photo-shopped Michigan bikini as signature away from having a clean sweep. Well, you just make sure you clean up after yourself...

Give it a rest really.. your disarticulated bullet pointed malaise may have been important, but only to you.

 Hail to the victors valiant!

Marvelous...

Joy? and your consensus governs what? Grow up puppy nuts... a true fan calls the cake by the cake. You frosting addicts have the nerve!

Lastly... I never attacked RR, I plainly stated why I feel we need to be eyes wide. Or do I need to spell it out for you too Behindstein.. here:

                                    60-26

Not something I love broadcasting from the tree tops... it is mediocre at best and you know it. So spare me your remedial sideline fervor will you... you've impressed nothing but yourself [which apparently doesn't appear that hard to do]

Quantum Err...

"-Hence, what's the point of starting a thread reminiscing about him other than talking to yourself out loud? "

Though I understand your overall post, you must not have gathered the basic context nor the title of the artible. I was citing ESPN's lack of sensitivity to make such a brain dead comment. I didnt' go into analysis... so I didnt' need a "deeper" reason. My final comments on RR was hey I don't know enough of his successes that I have personally cared enough to investigate, but I do know what WV has done under him... but at 60-26 record is nothign to throw caution to the wind with. That was my point.. I dont' dislike him, he's done nothing to me... I never quiestioned this Michigan Man image.. which I thinkis all BS, there are traditions to adhere to that are mutually beneficial, and there are loosing traditions. We needed to sever ties with all loosing traditions and stick to what brings the glory back to the michigan name.

Hail to the victors valiant!

There was no dig at RR, learn

There was no dig at RR, learn the word nuance... I expressed concern that wasn't confident in what I know of the man. How is that a dig?

Answer these questions...

and then it will sort settle your own arguements before you even get started.

1. How do you know that Miles was formally offered the job?

That wasn't a question I raised, he was in consideration... that's all he needed to be. So the statement now can be: They offered the position to who would take it,and that seems to be the reality. You know how many Steve Spurrier nuts were on this blog last year clammouring for him, and that wasn't gonna happen. Miles and Rod... different situations. I never comments on the who or what... just that it was a cheap shot from ESPN. I dont' need to know Les Miles, and how is that releveant anyway? You are completely misunderstanding the context of the post.

Lastly, I am not concerned with who likes or dislikes Andy Moeller, what did that have to do with the price of tea in China? But specifically does lend quite a bit to credibility to who I know and where my cirecle of knowledge lies - though I never sought affirmation from you - and need dont' need it from you either, particularly if you can't even understand context.

Well...

Well, I will say this. The Athletic department did it to themselves, they should have replaced Carr three years ago after loosing to OSU in the Rose Bowl. Our recruiting efforts were hindered even back then. But I think things will eventually be ok, I just don't know enough about Rod to trust much deeper. - so, like I said before ... this is where faith comes in.

Here's a rule to grow by. Get a life... for real. And learn to read the thread instead of partial responses then go on a rant. Don't' ever question the loyalty and knowledge of someone you don't' know, because you never know who they are. I went to Michigan, I attended high school with Gary Moeller's son Andy, we were in the same graduating class. I was going to red-shirt the team but ended up missing 6 weeks of school due to pnuemonia... so kindly tuck your pie pan deep Michiganism somewhere will you. True fans keep it real, and that means telling it like it is sometimes. But you wouldn't know anything about that would you. Don't ever dare attempt to consul me on your remedial definitions of fandom. I respect your being a fan but but be smart, your comments were not.

Hail to the victors valiant...

Like...

I was said. We aren't too deep, and there is no avoiding it. Being a realist [which is all I was saying] we have two more years of maybe 7-5 -8-4 type seasons until we get our wind under this spread offence and find talent that looks like it will work. I am impressed with what I see in Shavodrick Beaver, he is quick... athletic, and able to roll with the pocket. He'll integrate well into the Michigan spread. I am not hating but keepin' it real as they say.

Wow...

A little angry aren't we?  Did you actually read the article? You're replies are completely disarticulated from the main theme or context of the article.

Taco...

Please learn to discern what people where saying. When I said he was seen on campus, try to remember what was said by the respondent before interjecting your response. He implied that Miles wasn't even considering the job. so my response was [basically] if he wasn't. Why was he seen on campus?  And I was being congenial... something we could all use to be, lol.

Well... It's Obvious

that people like you weren't to up on coach recruiting efforts of last year, Miles was on the Michigan campus several times before a final decision was made - sorry you're off there buddy you gotta get your facts straight.

Now.. I wasn't

being a flat out hater, I'm just saying.

GCS

Those were all factors that should have been provided for.

Yes, He was...

Football's is about more than stats pal. It is about leadership, and decision making abilities. Also being responsible enough to carry your share so the team doesn't pay the price for one's inability to pull their own weight. They practiced for rain, the fact he didn't have gloves is irresponsible, he blew plays and empowered the enemy team that's all to it. Henne wasn't that great - but he was responsible and had a pro attitude.

Threet failed, but he is a good kid.

Hat: I agree...

In this, McGuffie is certainly a rising star, he was the most consistent on the field. Threet is too hyped up and makes costly mistakes, [sorry] I am hard on OB's - he needs to form it up, but can he lead this Michigan team? I believe so. I am just a little miffed, and was upset because I was expecting more from Rodriguez... but had to remind myslef that it is gonna take a couple of years before we see any real changes.

But I hope kids can see possibilites in recruiting and our scouting efforts get better as a side effect of the senior team having left. Our recruitment is effected by these loosing spells. Change has to happen now... and has to happen big!

Well...

All that asside, Threet was clumsy - Sheridan was too full of himself, and we didn't sieze the moment. They came truly prepared and their eyez on the prize, now am I optimistic. Sure I have to be, but am I smelling my own fumes... no, can't afford to. We sucked today and that was all there was to that.

Well... Lemme throw some gasoline on this fire!

We sucked, that is all there is to say, we blew any shot we had at a championship, but the realist question is, should we have expected to go in the first place? Our mature players graduated out. I have no friggin clue what happened to Mallett, Threet is too risky, our team is just young guys with no experience. The bright lining was McGuffie, but our line is immature and it isn't deep at all. I don't' know about you but that helmet means something to me, and we are operating way under our standard... this isn't just about performance, it is about discernment and wisdom, we should have dumped Carr three years ago after that jilt from Ohio State at the conference title. He admitted his heart wasn't' in it - we could have gotten a good coach from a Florida, Texas or Georgia team. I can't stand the notion that USC, Ohio St. can take it to us and win. Thanx Lloyd... thanx a lot. We have a couple more years of this settlement to take place to which I would expect anything more than what you saw today.
