that's unfortunate, but at least the interest is there on both sides

Blue Moon seems to get a bad rap but I've always liked it. Further, I have to 3rd (4th?) the motion regarding this latest output of skunk piss they're trying to pass off as one of my favorite drinks.

hardly exaggerating. They'd likely beat us in a game played today or early this year. Definitely the last two. That's why coach is here.

1) A UM fan/father getting jumped by osu fans in front if his family for NO REASON in Cbus as a cop watched with a smile about 25 yds away. Fellow UM fans & decent osu fans helped but he was hurt. 2) A woman that complained about being at a Tigers game for roughly 7 innings exactly 2 seats away from me winning $10k after Cecil Fielder hit a GS in an "exact moment, random seat" contest. 3) Couple banging at old Tiger Stadium in its last years when we blew & it was empty. I'll also include tons of drug use in this as people would move to the upper seats just to get high & bang. 4) Brother's old HS friend literally busting a testicle playing football vs our school's biggest rival. He wasn't wearing a cup, got hit & it blew up. He immediately started puking, went to hospital, I'm guessing had surgery, missed a ton of school & now has one nut. I'll never forget his screams in between vomiting. 5) Lions game at the Silverdome immediately after 9-11-01. MNF. National TV. We have nosebleeds & the seats used to basically slant on a downward angle up there, it was scary. Security was obviously already super tight/crazy (choppers overheard, etc) & this guy across the aisle was basically dressed like Bin Laden. No joke. Wearing camo, very tan skin, long beard & a hat that looked like something Fidel Castro would wear. Anyway, we're getting crushed by St. Louis (IIRC) & the man gets up to leave around the mid- 3rd quarter like a lot of fans. He slips & falls down some steps. When he lands he's screaming in pain but I'm sure every "vigilant American" (aka-scared shitless American) heard was a Jihadist war chant as he appeared to be trying to take off his shirt. People freak out & start running for the hills saying he has a bomb & more. Women crying, etc.....it's crazy. Most just knew the guy was hurt but security pounce the guy in seconds & basically pin him on the jagged steps causing more pain. He keeps screaming & they took him away. Dudes probably at Gitmo as I type this but he was just a dude that fell. "A commotion" was mentioned during the broadcast & I guess they panned up there but I never got to see it b/c I was there lol. So, if you remember that on TV, it was just a hurt dude that everyone thought was about to blow them up b/c he was Arab looking.

ELLS game. Never forget. That next year at home was only one of two games I ever watched Carr truly unleash the hounds. He was trying to hang a hundred on them & it was glorious.

|1 day 13 hours ago||Question||
Maybe it's just the app but I received a message saying my currrent was deleted. It was in reply to another so I figured it fit with the "collateral damage" explanation given in the possible reasons why section of the email notice. However, I can still see the comment I replied to and all the horrible ones after. Further, my comment was polite & in no way anything but welcoming/defending of a very welcome recruit. I also explained that even the best teams are built on those guys (only as strong as your weakest link). I then added that no sport has on field performance so directly tied to the quality of HC/manager as CFB. I'm just wondering if I can still see the far worse replies because of the app or what? I'm baffled lol. Oh, well....either way I guess.

is why I'm positive that if reincarnation is real, I was a serial killer or chicken rapist or something lol. My past self was or did something atrocious! I've got the worst luck ever. My life is like every Ben Stiller movie where he pays a guy that just gets shit on by circumstance, perception & being at the wrong place at the wrong time. Beyond your control type stuff. My life (down to the "that can't be real" name) is basically Stiller in Meet the Parents/Fockers. One giant, cosmic, "why me?" dump on his face after another. My life. Then, you have Tom Brady & family lol. I'm being very facetious as the overall world circumstances of my birth could have been much worse but I'm not exaggerating about being the real Gaylord Focker. Not one bit.

what happened to that company mission statement. I feel for it really hard, too. On topic, I'd never kick her out of bed but I've never found Gisele (Giselle?) to be that amazing. For an average schmuck like me? Absolutely! As a supermodel? Average. I'm very partial to Tom's first baby momma. Bridgette Moynihan (sp), correct? Always thought she was crazy good looking.
|4 days 4 hours ago||I know I could be wrong||
but I agree with everything if you were to say Peoples doesn't end up here. I just don't think he will & is very likely osu bound. Meyer really cut us good by hiring highly revered guys away from CT. It used to be that kids would go elsewhere if not offered by Michigan. Now? It's potentially becoming a trend for osu to focus heavily on the teams best player, land him & maybe take another random guy or two to build the connection. We all know that a lot of UM CT kids haven't panned out but we still need to get who we want from there. We need carte blanche. IMO, with citizens of Detroit fleeing the state it's going to be more important as time goes on. We need TW to get more UM minded coaches in there. Basically, I think the first step under this staff is making the State what it used to be (by & large). Top kids come to UM by default 9/10 times without much effort. Then you can focus on getting back into Ohio like we once were, when we'd get half of the top 10 kids on the state. After that, you can start attacking the entire country again. However, only winning will do that! Harbaugh will get a mulligan year one but he has to win big games very quickly. By year two we need to be back to the level msu is currently at. Year 3: osu, etc. Kids just don't remember us being relevant & Harbaugh alone won't turn that around. He has to win. Has to.

so much missed bad autocorrect. So sorry lol. I use the app & Swype so I can write a lot quickly but it's terrible at guessing. Yet, my fault for missing them. I hope anyone that reads can guess the correct words. Some are: We, Bo, etc. Most are small.

on the topic of the movie being shown at UM and/or our new FB HC's opinion of the movie and/or Kyle himself. I don't care what our coach thinks about either. I don't. If anything I like that he said it because I think he truly NEED a dictator type running UM Football. I laugh saying that bit this program seems to want it & historically thrive under those types. No was the kind of guy that would have said he enjoyed it & been VERY "IDGAF" if you disagreed. Just how he was. For the program in kind of glad he bluntly stated his thoughts. Yet, the thing is that I completely disagree with him about the movie & Kyle. I don't care if they show it but I have very different opinions than our HC on the topic. Yet, again, it's a movie so show it or not. I don't care. I guess what in trying to say is that I like that we have a guy with a DGAF attitude with what he personally wants, thinks & believes. I don't need to agree with him on everything! I think many UM fans need to realize that. You can disagree with Coach Harbaugh. As long as it's not regarding football, I don't care. In fact, I disagree with him on something he tweets about often that is FAR more reaching & sensitive than a friggin movie. Why care? Really. Just win games.
|1 week 1 day ago||I agree||
Henne had one of the strongest arms in the country when healthy. Absolute cannon. Even with video I can't say anything concretely about Rudock but I don't think they are very similar at all. Jake seems like the types listed above (ever Wisconsin & Iowa QB ever lol) while Henne was a few more QB IQ points from being an NFL franchise QB. Henne had all the physical tools but that doesn't always equal wins it even good QB play. As above, no knock on Rudock as I'd be ecstatic to have him be a guy that didn't necessarily have the physical gifts but takes care of the ball & doesn't lose games for us. Let's be honest here: QB play cost us games the last few years. Just a fact. Our defense was good enough to keep us in a lot if games we would have outright lost or never had a chance to win due to QB play. If Rudock (or any other QB) & this staff can keep our offense from losing games for us I think we should hit about 7-8 wins in year one. If not? I see a lot more of last year.
|1 week 4 days ago||This is what kills me||
the "sanctions" never happened (lol) & not only did they not happen but they signed about 300 kids since Meyer took over. FURTHER, unlike the last decade of us changing coaches that either had no players that fit the scheme, low talent, low experience, etc......Meyer inherits a crazy Tressel loaded team that was used to spread concepts. Without recruiting he had a very talented team that was immediately ready to win. That is what ruins me as they had no building to do. Their sanctions meant jack dick! Honestly, it may have cost them a NC if you go by the notion that they'd have played nd instead of Bama. Other than that it was a COMPLETE slap on the wrist that had zero effect wrt punishing their program. We're on our 3rd GENUINE rebuild in under a decade for legitimate reasons but those cheating piles of shit don't miss a beat. Really?!? lol
|1 week 4 days ago||Yeah||
they're stacked & there is no denying that or sugar coating it. It's hard to imagine they'd all stay even if some are moved like the poster below mentioned. Yet, if patient & they feel they have a year of being a Soph-RS Soph-Junior backup before they become the starter before leaving early, it could work. Either way, as I mentioned below I think we need to understand that we're not catching up to them anytime soon. IMO, handily beating the lower tier teams again should be our first step. msu needs to be our second step, osu our final. Even then, osu isn't going anywhere but we can return to being MICHIGAN - a program that bows to nobody, beats others more than they beat us, etc. I see this program being rebuilt exactly like Stanford (but will take longer due to not being in California). Change the mentality, toughen them up, recruit TOUGH kids that have a high football IQ, recruit NFL bodies, etc. Anyone expecting the "magic of 'baugh" to make us a playoff contender in years 1 & 2 are a bit irrational, IMO. To end back on point, osu will do fine at HB as long as their offensive system stays the same & the conference is as overall weak as it is. If the days of the "Big2Little10" are over we NEED the conference to nut up as a whole because their offense alone allows Meyer to basically sleepwalk his way to 9 wins. He only has to try about 3-4 games a year lol.
|1 week 4 days ago||Yup||
nothing is certain (look at what Meyer's crazy class of 2010, IIRC, amounted to) but rankings are generally a great indicator of success. The sites aren't completely inept but do have biases and a lack of truly outstanding evaluation. I think they base more off of a players offer sheet than programs offering based on a site's rankings but both happen. For instance, Scout has always seemed to overvalue Midwestern talent, IMO. They bust a lot in that area & tend to undervalue the South. It seems that a lot more 2-3 star Southern kids outplay their Scout ranking regardless of where they play & a lot of 4*+ Midwestern talent underperforms based on their Scout ranking. Finally, all sites are guilty of this but none to the extent of Scout: they will add 1-2 stars overnight to a NR-2* kid that goes to a Midwest power program. UM OL were given this treatment a lot in Carr's last year's when he took fliers on a lot of lower ranked OL recruits. Other sites seemed to bump them but not as much as Scout. So, recruiting rankings aren't perfect but they do indicate a general success level at an almost perfect rate. I can't think of a team that had consistent top-25 classes that were terrible over an equal stretch of time. Those that could be named were, as far as I can think of, ALWAYS a coaching issue that was dealt with.
|1 week 4 days ago||The silver lining||
is that Stanford more than caught USC on his 5 years when USC was a juggernaut, had a stable of backs, etc. Yet, he was in California & has help from the fact that eventually all programs rise & fall. Right now UM isn't even the 3rd best in its conference. msu/osu are VERY FAR ahead of us-fact. It should happen (!) but it's not happening soon, IMO. Those that don't accept that possibly are going to be miserable. Very much a silver lining.....lol
|1 week 4 days ago||Was Mr. Ohio by a long shot||
& my old HS is in that clip lol. Somewhere a 5th grade me is hurting but he'd feel better on a few months when he'd go to Michigan. I still have the Blade page with the little article. The main story was Barry needing 183 (IIRC) vs the Dolphins for 2000.
|1 week 5 days ago||I know I'm REALLY trying to silver line this||
but I think USC had a stable of 4-5 high 4*-5* HBs during the Stanford Harbaugh years. I guess my point is that nothing is guaranteed but I think this is another animal based on their offensive system, instate talent skewed heavily toward them & little competition in the B1G. I never expected us to quickly catch up to them even after we hired Harbaugh. I don't think we catch msu for a couple years, as well. This isn't a one year fix & those thinking/hoping for that are very likely going to be sorely disappointed. IMO, step one is getting back on top of msu. We need to get back to having carte blanche in the State of Michigan. When kids from Michigan are back to (for the most part) jumping at a UM offer we can then go after osu. Until then, we need to simply show that we're competent. We need to show we're improving, etc. Kids have to believe in the future here. I'm done making "in 5 years" predictions as the last 2 HCs have brutally disappointed me in that venture. I'm only going to say that it's best to understand that we're SO down that hiring the guy was just the first step of MANY. Remember that he only improved Stanford's record by 3 games in his first year there but one of those wins was against those juggernaut USC teams. Year one was more about building a mentality & basic structure but that win along with being much more competitive by everyone's view allowed future CFB & NFL stars to WANT to go there. They could see the future & wanted in. USC didn't stop recruiting well, BTW. It just turns out that nothing is guaranteed in CFB & especially recruiting. Coaching, more than any other sport at any level, helps win games in CFB. osu isn't going anywhere soon & we're not catching them soon. Get used to that right now or be miserable, IMO.
|2 weeks 23 hours ago||I'm closer to the boldest prediction I made||
Becoming reality: Wyatt S winning the HB job. Overall, you can't tell too much right now but what you can tell (and I'm unhappily happy it was mentioned) is that this first year would be a good year if we hit 8 wins. 9+ would be a great year, anything below 7 a bad year. I really don't think we'll be all that different in year one simply on results. I think we'll struggle to run the ball, I think we won't have the passing firepower to make up for it & our defense will have to keep us in games. Kalis straight up blocked teammates today on multiple occasions. Our HBs are still who they've been as of today. WR just looks horrible, sadly. Remove the drops & they still didn't inspire with their routes, blocking & effort. A healthy 1st team defense will be good. Could be very good.

I'll also add that while it's not perfect, his talent is obvious. I really like the skill set of our last 3 recruited QBs. Gentry & Peters are big, athletic kids with strong arms. Neither played very good competition & have a lot of the same easily corrected flaws. Both know they have a big arm - period. Yet, I think Peters has a better grasp for when to really wind up or put air under it (to the extent that he has several releases given the context of the throw) as of right now. However, he often releases the ball with a very odd trajectory on it - it almost comes out with english where the actual ball is tilted in a number of directions aside from the destination. If he can clean that up he'd actually have an even faster release & ease of throw. Finally, I'm still a bit excited that we "ended up with" Malzone. He's not 6-6 but he just does the simple things so right that it's really hard to not get excited when you consider what he could be with experience under this staff. I think Gentry has the highest ceiling but the lowest floor. I think Malzone has the highest floor (just can't see him not being AT LEAST a great back up) & Peters is, as a kid with a year of HS FB left, in the middle. He's not the best in this class, IMO, but he's easily a top 10. Very good start.
|2 weeks 1 day ago||I think so||
unless it's a major guy, a guy you just can't turn down (Eason type kid). This year anyway as I think any Harbaugh led UM team will try to get 2 QBs a year with 1 being the minimum no matter the numbers. It just makes sense, IMO. In football (more accentuated in HS & CFB) a QB is the most important position & you can live or die by them. A competent QB can change an average team into a winner if they lacked one before. I'm of the mind that you better be certain a kid is a "once a generation" type player before you guarantee playing time. As a HC I'd almost never do it - kid would have to be an absolute can't miss & they almost don't exist. I'd take a bunch of guys that can throw a ball over one in the odds that I can find someone in that pile vs one guy not panning out/getting hurt. You never turn down a monster QB recruit (!) but you never promise them time by not taking others in the same or multiple classes.
