"It's not about last year or who's here or who's isn't here," says your head coach. "It's about getting out here and competing and seeing who is here, and that's where we're gonna go."

My go to is a stupid Hitler joke (like above, being sarcastic) because it's the only thing more juvenile than the in your face pot smoking community. I'm not talking about the quiet, private smoker using it medically or in recreation but the type that make a big deal out of "420", etc. Especially in 2015 as it's all but completely legal now, FFS. When doctors literally advertise that they'll give you a medical card if you simply see & pay them? Literally advertising it! C'mon. It's legal. Time to grow up. I'm the same age as Achilles, BTW. I used to smoke pot, BTW. It's been over a decade but I used to like it before it became boring. I absolutely get why people like it! I used to like it a lot. I used to make a big deal out of it, go to headshops, hash bash, etc....when I was 16. Even if I kept smoking I know I'd have found the same juvenile idiocy in the culture. Few things are as pathetic as grown men wishing you "a happy 420, maayyynnn" as they nudge you or wink or some dumb shit. Telling you the history behind "420" like a HS burnout when they're 25+ & at work. Reading High Times lol. Guys drooling & gawking over centerfolds of weed, it's pathetic. The worst thing is that I don't think those kind of people realize they're hurting the cause of truly getting it legalized. Especially those trying to get a state to clear it medically because it doesn't help even you call your medicine "purple nurple" , "couch crusher" & "Red Head Delight". Call it "medicine" or be honest & call it "shit I like to smoke after a long day". Either way, anyone over 18 making any deal out of 420 is embarrassingly juvenile. I realized this at age 18.

regarding Boone calling Jim "his big brother, life a father figure" & more to the press all of last year in defense of him. Boone is a joke. Jim gets fired b/c York disliked him personally & York found an assistant to turn Benedict Arnold, everyone on the team worth a damn LOVED the man, Boone himself defends him, Jim goes to Michigan, half the 49er team defects immediately & suddenly Boone thinks Jim's the asshole. He may be an asshole but he gave that guy a career! Douche was undrafted for a reason but Jim made him a much better player, took him to 3 NFC title games & a Super Bowl. Instead of gratitude he goes all buckeye and accuses him of "being too demanding". Apparently getting to but not winning a Super Bowl good enough for a professional player making millions. I know I'd be happy to be a 49er fan or QB right now..../s
|9 hours 46 min ago||Yeah||
I'd bet he's staying & this is the exception but a presser usually means goodbye.
|11 hours 57 min ago||Again||
this is a fair debate point & one the board has had & should continue. Was he offered so soon due to being a legacy? Likely. I'd say absolutely. Is it crazy that ANY kid with exactly ONE HS catch is getting a scholarship to Michigan? You bet your balls! That is the most insane thing for me to digest. However, outside of all of that it's not as if we're taking about a senior in HS playing TE, standing 6-1 200 & running a 5.5 40. At 16 he's already physically what Harbaugh would want in a TE stepping onto campus as a college Freshman. I'm not big into "trust the coaches" but we're talking about one if the best in the profession. We simply haven't had that since the 90s. I'm going to trust Harbaugh until he proves that he is more concerned about giving Michigan a particular image/feel over wins. If Harbaugh keeps doing this after being happy with several 7-8 win seasons, I'll be with ya. Right now? For once I'm going to trust the coaches. It's basically an NFL staff again for the first time since Bo/Moeller. It's hard to get used to remembering that.
|12 hours 21 min ago||(app-sorry for txt wall) The best post regarding this kid so far||
and I said pretty much the same a few days ago. I think it's ok to question the offer but not to lose your shit over it. This kid is, what, 16? No doubt he was given the legacy bump, too. I get that & I think that should concern people more than having zero film, etc. I think the complaint/worry should be one of Michigan being more concerned about pleasing ex-players by offering their kids than truly getting the best talent & winning. Yet, I don't think that can be argued with Carter given that he is so young but already what Harbaugh wants physically in a TE. However, the general debate is one that could be had alongside similar concerns like: recruiting a worse player b/c he has a 4.0 or has never been in trouble over a player that's clearly better but was suspended once, etc. I'll admit that I'm on the Larry Foote camp. I think Carr slowly but surely began to recruit more kids from "good families & backgrounds". I think RR went a bit too far the other way in that he'd take anyone at all. Why recruit Dorsey when you know UM (and everyone else) won't let him in? How could you not know Feagan was slanging coke before & during his time at UM? I could go on but I'll end with Hoke completely changing the types of kids he recruits when he gets the UM job. He was like late-Carr but extreme. He'd take a kid with a tough background here & there but he lived him some good ol' fashion American nuclear family kids lol. I just agree with Foote that many of those kids are soft. They tend to have options in life so when face to face with a kid that has that "success or starve" mentality who's gonna give up first? More often than not the latter kid will die on that field before before he lets fatigue allow him to give up. When a kid has "daddy's business" to fall back on, they'll take their college degree, give you full effort when they feel like it & hope for the best but happily become a 22yr old VP alongside daddy when lined up across someone better, with nothing to lose, everything to gain and/or flat out tired. That's life. So, I'll debate stuff like that! Yet, outside of Carter likely getting the legacy bump/offer so soon, I won't question Harbaugh taking a 16 year-old kid that is already as big as he is. It's not like the kid is a TE who's 6-1 & runs a 5.5 40. Carter could be pushing 6-7 250 when he steps on campus.

Hitler's birthday. Glad someone else rememb....oh, you're talking about weed? Shit. I, uhh, ermm, used to smoke the weeds. Haven't for over a decade but used to. How about that Ryan Braun, huh! Great baseball player.....

lol'd. Not sure if it's because it's inherently hilarious or actually possible?
|22 hours 41 min ago||Exactly. Again,||
read the link I posted above. They were "brothers" all year until he went to Michigan lol. Boone had always been an assclown. I also mentioned the segment in the Tebow thread (can't thread on app).

in the Harbaugh Tigers game thread. Very odd when you read this: http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/04/19/alex-boone-dramatically-...
|23 hours 18 min ago||I think this team||
Will determine if we start 2-2 or 1-3. I think this is a push but we lose to Utah & BYU.
|23 hours 20 min ago||Just heard this on Mike & Mike||
but if I can hijack the thread for a sec b/c I can't thread from app: They had a segment about Harbaugh that was the most backhanded compliment possible. Greeny goes to commercial saying "when we get back I'll tell you a story about why the best FB coach in America is EXACTLY where he should be." He then comes back & it's about Harbaugh (!) & the Real Sports interview coming up. He mentions that he thinks he's on par with anyone in the game st any level BUT then says why he's a "college coach" (I agree, btw). He reads a statement from Alex "ex-buckeye" Boone that essentially goes into how much of an overbearing dick Harbaugh is lol. Greeny then says NO.....ZERO....SF players shed years over him leaving but the turn over rate in CFB makes his style great. True? Yes. However, they painted him like a monster lol. Also, Boone is one guy & to say nobody was upset to see him go is B.S. In fact, many SF players literally shed tears. Frank Gore was his guy! Gore was pissed along with many others but not at Harbaugh. They were/are upset with management. Basically, I'm sure there are a few people like Boone but his complaint was the complaint of a guy that feels entitled. He rode you when he felt you could do better no matter how good you may have been already. He loved Gore because Gore never settled. To end, they compliment Harbaugh a lot but caveat that with assumptive lies regarding the SF scenario. Though, both Greeny & Jay Williams (of Duke bb fame) predicted UM in the playoffs in 3 years. I say 4-5 but let's hope for 3 lol.
|1 day 12 hours ago||I agree completely||
and have said so since we hired Harbaugh. This program needs to be truly rebuilt. I'm taking great recruiting AND development. As for the games, I think we start 1-3 or maybe 2-2. Utah crushed us last year & the changes on our team isn't the whole reason. IIRC, they return a ton of starters. Utah was/is the better program right now - period. BYU is always tough. Ore St is a push so I hope scheme/coaching can pull that out but I wouldn't bet on it. I want to win immediately as much as anyone. This team just isn't prepared for that, IMO. I think 6-8 wins in year one & were closer to 6 than 8, IMO. I don't think the majority of our players will be much different than last year. People need to be realistic. Stop being homers that will freak out if we aren't in playoff contention year one lol. We won't be. That said, I'd LOVE to be wrong. La'hov to be wrong! Logic just doesn't support the chances of being wrong. It's not like Hoke was let go after building/developing a juggernaut program because he cheated & Jim is taking over an oiled machine. This isn't Meyer to osu. This team doesn't know how to win yet & it's not 1969. Other teams get good players now, too. Many develop them. We haven't for most.
|1 day 13 hours ago||No need||
as osu was ready for the system in both talent & knowledge. As noted, Tressel wasn't fired for losing. If he was on the up & up he'd still be your coach. This is a case study in "turnarounds". As a UM fan, I know we're not very good or talented right now. Forget recruiting classes as Hoke either overvalued guys or didn't develop them. I've said since hiring Harbaugh that we should be happy with a grand total of 8 wins this year. I'm expecting 6-8 in year one. Meyer walked into a built program that had talent that was developed from JT, used to spread elements & in no way needing to be "resurrected". The year before was a talented but true frosh QB led team playing under the weight of sanction fears that everyone thought would be worse than they were. Any UM fan that isn't a homer knew Meyer would win immediately. He didn't "build" anything. He continued developing truly elite prospects. I'll be the first to admit that osu's roster is freakish looking! You have CBs that look more yoked up than some of our LBs lol! You're not going anywhere. We know that. It's just (hopefully) finally time for Michigan to get out of its own way & build ourselves to the level BOTH programs should be at. No need to mention Meyer's osu in this discussion as it doesn't fit the point.

New World Order, man lol. Bilderberger groupb with their drones & illuminati agents of chaos. If they killed Kennedy imagine how easy it is to delete our truly polite, innocent comments while leaving up the truly mean spirited ones! I smell conspiracy. Signed, Jesse Ventura. haha
|3 days 5 hours ago||Here we go||
1) A UM fan/father getting jumped by osu fans in front if his family for NO REASON in Cbus as a cop watched with a smile about 25 yds away. Fellow UM fans & decent osu fans helped but he was hurt. 2) A woman that complained about being at a Tigers game for roughly 7 innings exactly 2 seats away from me winning $10k after Cecil Fielder hit a GS in an "exact moment, random seat" contest. 3) Couple banging at old Tiger Stadium in its last years when we blew & it was empty. I'll also include tons of drug use in this as people would move to the upper seats just to get high & bang. 4) Brother's old HS friend literally busting a testicle playing football vs our school's biggest rival. He wasn't wearing a cup, got hit & it blew up. He immediately started puking, went to hospital, I'm guessing had surgery, missed a ton of school & now has one nut. I'll never forget his screams in between vomiting. 5) Lions game at the Silverdome immediately after 9-11-01. MNF. National TV. We have nosebleeds & the seats used to basically slant on a downward angle up there, it was scary. Security was obviously already super tight/crazy (choppers overheard, etc) & this guy across the aisle was basically dressed like Bin Laden. No joke. Wearing camo, very tan skin, long beard & a hat that looked like something Fidel Castro would wear. Anyway, we're getting crushed by St. Louis (IIRC) & the man gets up to leave around the mid- 3rd quarter like a lot of fans. He slips & falls down some steps. When he lands he's screaming in pain but I'm sure every "vigilant American" (aka-scared shitless American) heard was a Jihadist war chant as he appeared to be trying to take off his shirt. People freak out & start running for the hills saying he has a bomb & more. Women crying, etc.....it's crazy. Most just knew the guy was hurt but security pounce the guy in seconds & basically pin him on the jagged steps causing more pain. He keeps screaming & they took him away. Dudes probably at Gitmo as I type this but he was just a dude that fell. "A commotion" was mentioned during the broadcast & I guess they panned up there but I never got to see it b/c I was there lol. So, if you remember that on TV, it was just a hurt dude that everyone thought was about to blow them up b/c he was Arab looking.

ELLS game. Never forget. That next year at home was only one of two games I ever watched Carr truly unleash the hounds. He was trying to hang a hundred on them & it was glorious.

|3 days 5 hours ago||Question||
Maybe it's just the app but I received a message saying my currrent was deleted. It was in reply to another so I figured it fit with the "collateral damage" explanation given in the possible reasons why section of the email notice. However, I can still see the comment I replied to and all the horrible ones after. Further, my comment was polite & in no way anything but welcoming/defending of a very welcome recruit. I also explained that even the best teams are built on those guys (only as strong as your weakest link). I then added that no sport has on field performance so directly tied to the quality of HC/manager as CFB. I'm just wondering if I can still see the far worse replies because of the app or what? I'm baffled lol. Oh, well....either way I guess.
|4 days 9 hours ago||This exact reasoning||
is why I'm positive that if reincarnation is real, I was a serial killer or chicken rapist or something lol. My past self was or did something atrocious! I've got the worst luck ever. My life is like every Ben Stiller movie where he pays a guy that just gets shit on by circumstance, perception & being at the wrong place at the wrong time. Beyond your control type stuff. My life (down to the "that can't be real" name) is basically Stiller in Meet the Parents/Fockers. One giant, cosmic, "why me?" dump on his face after another. My life. Then, you have Tom Brady & family lol. I'm being very facetious as the overall world circumstances of my birth could have been much worse but I'm not exaggerating about being the real Gaylord Focker. Not one bit.
|4 days 9 hours ago||Yeah, I often wonder||
what happened to that company mission statement. I feel for it really hard, too. On topic, I'd never kick her out of bed but I've never found Gisele (Giselle?) to be that amazing. For an average schmuck like me? Absolutely! As a supermodel? Average. I'm very partial to Tom's first baby momma. Bridgette Moynihan (sp), correct? Always thought she was crazy good looking.
|5 days 20 hours ago||I know I could be wrong||
but I agree with everything if you were to say Peoples doesn't end up here. I just don't think he will & is very likely osu bound. Meyer really cut us good by hiring highly revered guys away from CT. It used to be that kids would go elsewhere if not offered by Michigan. Now? It's potentially becoming a trend for osu to focus heavily on the teams best player, land him & maybe take another random guy or two to build the connection. We all know that a lot of UM CT kids haven't panned out but we still need to get who we want from there. We need carte blanche. IMO, with citizens of Detroit fleeing the state it's going to be more important as time goes on. We need TW to get more UM minded coaches in there. Basically, I think the first step under this staff is making the State what it used to be (by & large). Top kids come to UM by default 9/10 times without much effort. Then you can focus on getting back into Ohio like we once were, when we'd get half of the top 10 kids on the state. After that, you can start attacking the entire country again. However, only winning will do that! Harbaugh will get a mulligan year one but he has to win big games very quickly. By year two we need to be back to the level msu is currently at. Year 3: osu, etc. Kids just don't remember us being relevant & Harbaugh alone won't turn that around. He has to win. Has to.
