He didn't play in Bo's last game. JD Carlson had taken over kicking duties and the punter that day was Chris Stapleton.

OSU is in PSU's division both now and in the future.
|7 weeks 5 days ago||In case that was a serious question||
the minimum price under the dynamic price model is the average price per ticket for season tickets. This year it is $65 ($455/7), which, depending on the game, is anywhere between $10 and $30 below the "official" face value.
|8 weeks 1 day ago||There's another part of the rule||
that says if you play at all in the second half of the regular season you are not eligible for a medical.
Indiana was the 7th game of the year so anyone who got hurt in that game (or anytime going forward) is not eligible for a medical regardless of how many games they play.
|8 weeks 1 day ago||I was looking for Dileo in the 2nd half||
and my guess was a concussion and they took his helmet away from him. But then the folks sitting around me said they saw him limping, and Mark Snyder tweeted that he was on crutches after the game so I have no clue.

Ah the self-loathing Michigan fan. We have more of them than anyone else.

Fan base in the nation.
|9 weeks 5 days ago||I played center in high school||
(granted it was 25 years ago so we didn't use a lot of shotgun), but my experience was that if any of the OL felt the D was jumping the snap count, they'd get on my case to do something about it. Typically, since we were under center 90 percent of the time, that meant I'd grab the QB and tell him to stop going on 1 all the time, but if we were in shotgun I'd try to wait and extra count after lifting my head before snapping the ball. All you have to do is mix it up once or twice and the DC will tell his guys to knock it off and just wait for the ball to be snapped.
|9 weeks 5 days ago||What led to the sanctions||
was Bill Martin inviting the NCAA in to see what they could find. Had Michigan simply investigated things itself and submitted a report, I doubt anything ever would have come of it.
|9 weeks 5 days ago||the only way for the NCAA to get subpoena power||
is for it to become a government entity. Is anyone really in favor of that?
|9 weeks 5 days ago||Sure they've adjusted for it||
Mealer last year regularly varied the time from when he raised his head to when he snapped the ball.
Miller did as well.
I didn't see whether Glasgow did or not.

halfway through the first quarter. A few small empty spots but nothing dramatic. Just some late-arriving students.
|10 weeks 6 days ago||that was my freshman year||
My second Jug game was a miserable rainy, cold day in 1988 where Michael Taylor broke his collarbone and the team rode the defense to a 23-7 win.
I think my next Jug game was another miserable, wet day in 2007 where we won 31-10 after spotting them a 10-0 lead.
The only Minny game with nice weather was 2011. Nice game, too.

The downside to taking him would be if the coaches decide that he's not as good as 247 seems to think he is.
|11 weeks 18 hours ago||Rivals and Scout have him rated as||
So glad our coaching staff has a better thought process than "ZOMG! 247 gave him 5 stars and he said he likes us! Forget everyone else - let's wrap him up NOW!!"
You know, like "hmm...let's get some film on this guy so we can decide what we think."
Early commentary from one of the Scout guys is that he's the #5 rated QB - in California.

|12 weeks 16 hours ago||The advantage is that||
so long as the ball stays behind the line of scrimmage it can hit the ground and the play won't be blown dead.
This is why the kicking team can advance a blocked kick so long as the ball is behind the LOS.

|12 weeks 5 days ago||As long as||
the scholarship is not based upon athletics ability and it is given to someone who was not recruited as a high schooler, it doesn't count against scholarship limits.
The athletics department routinely transfers in excess of $1 million of its annual surplus into the General Fund for exactly that purpose.
|14 weeks 1 day ago||It's an interesting point||
given that one of the most revered figures in Michigan history was Bo Schembechler, who is still the gold standard in terms of chewing on players.
But even a guy like Bo knew that there was a time to chew out a player and a time to build him back up, and he knew which guys would respond to being chewed out and which ones wouldn't. Seems like all Kelly knows is how to scream.
I can assure you that Michigan's coaches know how to raise their voices but they rarely do it publicly.

before the Akron game.
|14 weeks 1 day ago||Virginia Tech in 2020 and 2021||
Schedule is set through 2016. Hard to line up big-name games in just a year or two. Most of them are scheduled 6-10 years in advance, so Brandon will not be going year-to-year looking for compelling matchups.
Since many games are scheduled several years in advance the risk in scheduling mid-level opponents is that they hire the right coach and aren't a mid-level team when you play them.
|14 weeks 4 days ago||They do #1 already||
Season ticket holders get first crack at single-game tickets before they go on sale to anyone else.
I disagree with you on #3. Because season ticket holders already get first crack at buying additional single game tickets, the lower those are priced, the easier it is to resell them. One of the reasons for the dynamic pricing the AD adopted as one of the measures to insure that the additional tickets bought by season ticket holders were for their own use.
|14 weeks 5 days ago||In 2011||
it rained until noon or so. Tailgating on the golf courses was cut way back. But a beautiful afternoon and evening.
|14 weeks 5 days ago||The focus on money||
dates back at least to Don Canham, who was the first to slap a block M on anything that could be sold.
Bill Martin was the one who came up with the PSD program, and numerous ticket price increases occurred on his watch. It's a little comical to see him express concerns about those things now.
These trends have continued under Brandon but he is not the one who came up with them.
|15 weeks 2 days ago||Problem is||
if it rains all morning that will result in the golf courses being closed which will screw up lots of tailgate plans.
