In the 1970s both had outstanding records.

the fact that you've been busted for underage drinking, DUI, drunk in public or whatever, is not.

is a poster at Rivals who claims to be a friend of the family and says that he saw the text from Mone.

To be the overall (i.e. not sport-specific) twitter voice of the Athletic Department.

put on these t-shirts. It just permits them to use Michigan's trademarks in exhange for a 10 percent royalty.
The fact that someone likes a wolverine on a t-shirt has nothing to do with whether UM is considering a mascot.

We'd beaten Colorado in Boulder the week before and were losing to BC in the rain when I had to go into the wedding. It wasn't for a couple hours that I found out we'd scored a couple times in the 4th quarter to pull it out.
|5 weeks 6 hours ago||In years past||
Season tickets were mailed out on a rolling basis from Aug. 1-15. I typically got mine in Ohio around the start of the second week of August.

get in the way of a good rant?
|7 weeks 9 hours ago||The Fact Sheet UM put out last week||
says financial details will be released "the week of July 13."
Not "on July 13."
|7 weeks 5 days ago||The biggest modern problem with the wishbone||
Is that it takes enough time and focus in practice to avoid 8 fumbles a game that there isn't enough time left to develop a good passing game.
Plus a good wishbone QB is going to be more effective in some form of a spread offense.
|7 weeks 5 days ago||very similar call||
the following year when Jamie Morris sort of caught a TD pass in South Bend.
|7 weeks 5 days ago||Jerome Brown||
almost single-handedly put the wishbone on the dust heap of history.
|7 weeks 6 days ago||It is a given that UM gets a royalty on Michigan stuff||
That's been the case for as long as there has been Michigan stuff. Standard royalty is 10 percent. The adidas contract guaranteed that they would pay a minimum of $600k a year for royalties, even if merch sales came in under that.
|7 weeks 6 days ago||The $10 million figure||
Was made up by the Freep "based upon the market" (i.e., they assumed that UM wouldn't sign for less than it was getting from adidas) and has since been removed from their article on their web site.
The claim that the "most-favored nation" clause in the adidas deal pushed the value of the Michigan deal higher is false. The amount UM received from adidas increased from year one because of a CPI index that was built into the contract.
|8 weeks 9 hours ago||If Nike wanted||
they could start selling UM apparel right away. Adidas' license for things like t-shirts, sweatshirts and the like is not exclusive and there is stuff from a variety of manufacturers on sale at the Mden right now. The exclusive license is for team apparel/uniforms and for replica competition gear (jerseys and other "gameday" apparel).
Who knows whether they would start right away or not.

Anytime you say anything under oath or under penalty of perjury, if you are later found to have been lying, you can be prosecuted for perjury. That's true whether you say it in court, in an arbitration, in a deposition, in a tax return, in an insurance claim, a loan application, or anything else.
The fact is that perjury is a very rarely prosecuted crime, but that doesn't mean that it is never prosecuted.
|14 weeks 3 days ago||academic fraud by athletes is a violation in itself||
regardless of whether other students benefitted or not. This is not an extra benefit violation. The mere fact that a school has a problem that touches on athletics but also goes beyond athletics is hardly a reason for the entity supervising collegiate athletics to wash its hands of the issue.
|14 weeks 4 days ago||The concepts had been approved||
Today was approval of the actual plans.
|15 weeks 6 hours ago||Those facilities are being paid for by donors||
so if they were willing to make the donations to pay for them, I'm not going to complain.
Season ticket prices and PSDs go to fund the operating budget from which scholarships and coach salaries are paid.
Facility donations go to fund the capital budget from which things like building projects are funded.
These new facilities did nothing to drive up season ticket costs.
|15 weeks 4 days ago||Before 1991||
there was almost no drop from the field to the first row of stands. The field was lowered almost 10 feet in 1991. Field rushes were a lot more common prior to 1991 because it was so much easier and safer to get from the stands onto the field.

Occurred the following year at Purdue -a 9-3 loss.
|18 weeks 5 days ago||The contracts for a 4-team playoff are all pretty much set||
for the next 11 years. Sure someone could come along with a new proposal, but it would take the agreement of a lot of conferences, schools, and bowls, any one of whom could see a strong incentive to hold out.
|18 weeks 5 days ago||UCLA||
Played in the Pac12 title game a couple years back at 6-6 because USC was ineligible, but got beaten like a drum by Oregon.
UCLA did make it to the Rose Bowl in 1982 with a 6-4-1 record - and beat the living daylights out of a 10-1 Illinois team.

|19 weeks 5 days ago||ticket revenues||
Go into the operating budget.
Funding for this stuff comes from the capital budget.
The two never meet except when an operating surplus is put into the capital budget for future projects.
|19 weeks 5 days ago||the students and the taxpayers||
are not paying for any of it.
|19 weeks 5 days ago||Many of the projects are being funded||
by donor contributions through the Victors for Michigan campaign.
First and foremost there was the substantial donation Stephen Ross made last fall, which is why the entire Athletic Campus is known as the Stephen M. Ross Athletic Campus. Ross gave $200 million to UM in 2013, half of which went to the Athletic Department.
This was all approved by the Regents last spring.
I do believe that some of it is being funded as you suggest.
|21 weeks 4 days ago||It was the home opener||
and considering that UM was the 2-time defending B10 champs, it was amazing as Crisler was only about half full.
