Tackle well. Their running backs get a ton of yards after contact. Don't bite on play action. MSU has a good running game which enables them to use a lot of play action getting the tight ends involved which we have had trouble with lately. I think Cousins is solid and will have a field day with us if we don't put pressure on him. Last year's game proved that we can beat these guys however we are going to have to execute our game plan and show some new wrinkles. Wisconsin did not play as well as they can which should not be underestimated but that Don Treadwell called a hell of a game...I love play action passing inside the five yard line.

Don't underestimate

The importance of Mike Shaw's absence. Our running game looks completely different with a guy with true speed like Shaw (or D Hart for that matter). Smith is a great player in his own right and I love seeing a guy like that succeed however he does not scare anyone, or really make anyone pay for that matter (I saw the run, it was great but unlikely to happen too often). Shaw possibly changes the play call on that first and goal after Roundtree was caught from behind changing the complexion of the game.

No denying it

Harbaugh = fantastic coach and Michigan legend, give the man his due. That said, this is why Rich Rod was hired in the first place, to bring Michigan football into the "new" era of the spread and beyond. Whether he will get a chance to build his dynasty is to be determined however our inability to stop that shit Troy Smith no doubt had something to do with our decision. I hate to say if you can't beat them join them and I do think Bill Martin is cognitively impaired but the spread is an undeniable beast that one can only hope to contain.

Damn straight

It is a absolute shame what they are doing to Martin. He is a god damn monster out there and he is doing it against 2 or 3 guys every play. Just imagine if he had any help next to him. I watch a ton of college football and I have not seen anybody in the country have the deck stacked against them like Martin does and he still rips shit. In previous years he would at least have a serviceable guy next to him like Terrance Taylor or Gabe Watson. They can't just put a body out there next to him to at least keep the o-lines honest? If he does not get All-American it will be a fucking travesty.

Take some chances

We are simply not good enough to outscore everyone. I know I will get slaughtered for questioning the 3-3-5 but short of switching to a 4-2-5 for example, we at least need to do some actual blitzing, not just fake it every snap. We could make up for some of our deficiencies with some timely turnovers a la the mediocre Saints defense circa last year. Gerg has no fucking clue what he is doing. When does punishing Will Campbell for being a fatty get old? He could at least look imposing standing next to Martin and you never know occupy a blocker or two every once in a while.

First post ever, take it eesay!

I realized something today...our defense is not as bad as it appears. Gerg's defensive play calling sucks monster cock. Maybe Rich Rod likes having a fucking heart attack on every third down but I doubt it. Why can't we play with a little more risk, like um rushing four guys? Ezeh and Roh are useless as roaming linebackers especially when Indiana is not sending any tight ends or backs into patterns. Our front three was solid against their five man line, imagine if they had any help at all going after that fat shit Chappell. If Indiana is just going to go down the field on every drive why not take some chances with actual blitzes (how many times was Indiana fooled when we brought three extra guys into the box only for them to retreat into coverage), maybe get some turnovers? It worked for a mediocre Saints team last year.
