Not a great weekend because…

Not a great weekend because I’ve been to the town that Liberty is located and we should never lose to them at anything, academically, sporting wise or anything beyond hillbillyishness.

I rarely comment on the blog at all since reading the tire fire comments is usually enough for me to turn away, but wanted to thank you for doing these posts.  I’ve made it a point to go to Lady Wolverines games whenever they’re nearby, be it b-ball, softball or gymnastics, and not having the Big10 Network makes it hard to follow those sports beyond box scores. I’m proud of all of the sports that Michigan competes in, (my nephew  is a track and field alumnus, toot toot!) and I’m happy that the portfolio on this blog has expanded.

Keep doing what you’re doing! You’ll always have a reader in me and I truly appreciate it.

Go Blue!

Agreed.

Agreed.

Osetkowski I was at the game and Osetkowski is a joke. I haven’t the foggiest as to how he scored any points because his handle is weak but Beilein teams aren’t the best at on ball defending. They made runs but I never really felt like we were threatened and it certainly helped that their crowd showed minimal support. I think they got loud maybe 3 times all game.
You're a douche bag. You're a douche bag.
This is the first game I This is the first game I haven't been able to watch in the last three seasons and I'm actually glad that was the case.

The DPG punt return was a nice turn of events for the young man so I'm happy for him but we've got to figure the offense out stat.
At least OSU lost...yay. At least OSU lost...yay.
Just the sacks ma'am. Just the sacks ma'am.
Excellent points! Excellent points!
Get'em Brian! I love seeing Get'em Brian! I love seeing you rip dudes to threads using existing, tangible facts.
Let's do this!!! Let's do this!!!
Well that's a bunch of people Well that's a bunch of people who didn't know Ace wrote the preview. RIF!
Woooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Boo-yah muthafuckas!

Let's

do this!  We're not going to get a better chance to score.  Put Drake in and run it every which way, set up a hb screen, something!  If we're going to throw it, maybe bust out the good old QB waggle with two levels of receivers.  Gotta get Speight some sort of confidence and rhythm.

Yup

You don't say that you don't want to play a junior QB who was the only remaining one who had any experience because you didn't want to burn his redshirt needlessly.  A very unsubtle go f yourself with another 6 QBs behind you.

If the only

play we're going to run out of the Wildcat is a jet sweep, the play-calling is going to be reminiscent of *shudder* Borges.

Ugh

First game thread post ever and I pulled a double?  I'm as off as the team is...

15 minutes

is a long time to pull ourselves out of the fire, D needs to step up and force a turnover!  Too many missed opportunities up to this point.

Shnikes At my parents without the benefit of the BIG10 network, and I called out our non-clutch free throw shooting sight unseen but seriously? Every win this year is a gift without McGary in the post so if we split the reg. season and maybe get to the Sweet 16, I will be beyond ecstatic. This won't be a pretty year without size but it can only make us stronger for an a-maizing run next year. Enjoy the sweet moments folks.
Well Crap. The D did not look good but Borges is one-dimensional as all hell. Does he not realize that after you run a couple of reverses good or rather even competent teams will adjust? Blargh.
A-Maizingly Appropriate

I don't post very often but in reading the comments over the past few weeks that accompany essentially every article, it's somewhat akin to watching a train wreck; and this train wreck is unbelievably, inexplicably worse than the season has been on the field, and that's saying a lot, (and I think most would agree on that point at least on the offensive side).

This season has been depressing to watch, that's a fact.  I usually talk to my Dad for at least a quarter each game as he's in NM and I'm in NoVA and he doesn't get BTN.  I give him my own version of play-by-play, (even though he's got Sirius), and at the same time catch-up and shoot the shit. Those calls have been noticeably shorter this season because we've both been in a funk. I get where Brian is at and I feel that all we can do is hope for the best against OSU and our bowl game, with the expectation that while we lose Lewan for next year, the trial by fire that the true and redshirt freshman on the O-line have endured this season will bear fruit through Spring camp and into Summer/Fall.

While depressing, this is Michigan football! The negativity I've seen on this site is ridunkulous, I think we all know Borges's play-calling is horrendous, that's what we have Brian for!  This site provides a fantastic service and whiners should be banished to a thread that's permanently archived in a virtual dustbin.

The excerpt you posted is succint and spot-on, (so instead of typing this whole thing I could have said "Good article" but that's not my style), and I applaud you for posting it.

Beat OSU!!! (said while crossing all applicable appendages).

Dan Snyder vs. Al Borges

Now I know what it feels like for my friends who are Skins fans and are stuck with Dan Snyder for all eternity.  There's no way that Hoke will ever get rid of Borges and that just makes me sad...

Old skool

Why are we so bad at boxing out? As an undersized guard, I was taught to put your back into it despite being under-sized and less-weight. Why can't the MI staff teach their kids the same? Can't use the excuse of zone because we've barely played it this year.  So frustrating to watch...

The BIGS

What's up with our bigs not being able to finish around the basket?!?  Morgan has always shot an amazingly high percentage but throughout his career I've always seemed to notice the easy misses.  He looked contagious in this game with McGary carrying on the act, (and I've noticed it in bits and pieces throughout the year). In the words of the immortal Bill Raftery "finish strong big fella!". Either use the goal as a natural impediment (which I saw Morgan do in the second half) or just go strong, worst case you get two free throws and another foul towards the bonus, which is never a bad thing.

The GRIII flush is easily the

The GRIII flush is easily the best one I've seen all year.  When he threw that down, I was like, "whoa".

Call me Mceducabated. Getting my Dad to believe the same will require Scottish independence.

Re:

Good call, I'm fairly confident he meant DFW (David Foster Wallace as opposed to Dallas Fort-Worth, do not get stranded in that airport).

"Sir. You are named Sean

"Sir. You are named Sean McEvilly. You do not pronounce this like you are Scottish adverbial evil, nor do you have a luxuriously nefarious mustache. In fact you look about as evil as a schnauzer."

As a fourth generation Scotsman, I have to point out that a Mc is Irish and a Mac is a Scot. Granted, I could consider an Irishman evil, but I think of them more as a kindred spirit when if the context is jolly old England.

Scotland Forever!

Oh yeah, and on a Michigan note, I think Devin shows promise, I just hope that he's got a line with enough reps to let him work. (Next year).

All I'm Sayin'

is that it's really hard to even see when you're wearing one of those costumes. I was Clifford at an elementary school book fair so my mom didn't have to be and your range of motion is probably +2, atrocious for acutal tackling. Kids like to go for the kneecaps...
