I haven't seen a credible…

I haven't seen a credible mock draft in weeks that had him go after #12.

I'm certainly not saying…

I'm certainly not saying that you're wrong (there's been a lot surprising in this whole saga), but, even now, it would be surprising if the NCAA was aware of spying on practices and didn't do anything about it. I say that because, unlike Stallions buying a ticket for his idiot friend to go watch a game with 80,000 other people, spying on practices genuinely creates an obvious, significant, and unfair competitive advantage.

Which is to say, I agree wholeheartedly with the latter part of your comment...if that happened, and the NCAA or the B10 didn't act, Michigan's lawsuit will just be a copy of the e-mail they sent the B10 about that and the words "arbitrary and capricious" repeated 7,000 times.

It seems clear based on all…

It seems clear based on all of the rumblings (as well as the putting in of the fence) that Michigan knows that someone was spying on their practices. But it's odd to me if Michigan actually knows who it is, since, unlike the other stuff (and certainly unlike the Stallions stuff), the spying on the practices is actually a big deal and would genuinely provide a real competitive advantage. Which is to say, I would have thought they would have raised it, and the NCAA would have had no choice but to act on it, at the time. Will be interesting to see if the 247 source is right.

If it's Dakyus Brinkley, he is not a 3 star...in fact, I'd say he's very likely a better prospect than Robinson. He has offers from Oregon, Penn State, Texas, Texas A&M, Oklahoma, etc.

Don't think I agree with a couple of the "What we want to hear" notes. At the second CB position, I woud've liked to see folks saying that Walker has the position locked down and is on his way to being as good as Johnson by season's end.

Likewise, I'd like to see talk that Stewart has seized the job and he'll be all-conference here, too.

Having good backups is of course important, but if those guys hit their ceilings, there won't be any debate or competition, no matter how good the other guys are. That's not a knock on anyone, I just think that coaches saying everybody's awesome sometimes moreso means nobody has set themselves apart.

Grusser is actually a 2023…

Grusser is actually a 2023 commit, not 2024 (via 247). I am not sure exactly how that came about, but I suspect he never signed a letter of intent since the Ivy schools don't give scholarships.

The idea that Notre Dame…

The idea that Notre Dame coaches didn't push to keep Hillman seems wildly implausible to me. They are very short on safeties, they have a safety who is shooting up the ranks and being heavily recruited by, among others, Michigan, Ohio State, LSU, and USC, and they don't push hard to make his commitment work? Color me skeptical...

Also appears to be a good…

Also appears to be a good group coming next weekend, as well (all taken from Brice Marich's tweets):

I'Marion Stewart, a 4 star WR/Ath from Bolingbrook, IL who has a Crystal Ball to Michigan.

Eddie Tuerk, a 4-star DL from La Grange, IL will "likely" be at Michigan next weekend.

Ted Hammond, a 3-star DL from Cincinnati.

Brian Robinson, a 4-star Edge from Youngstown who has two Crystal Balls to Michigan.

I have a question:

I have a question:

DON'T YOU KNOW PUMP IT UP

As long as you get tickets…

As long as you get tickets behind the Michigan bench, the crowd should be largely Wolverines, you should have plenty of company.

Feels positive to me that…

Feels positive to me that Whittley's weight is down, seems more plausible that he'll be able to play at the more manageable weight.

Watching that Sinbad movie "Shazam" is definitely on my bucket list..

Michigan literally beat Iowa… Michigan literally beat Iowa by 22 points 11 days ago.
The issue is that COVID is…

The issue is that COVID is very highly contagious and you are infectious before you start showing symptoms, which means that it can spread to lots of people easily if you have big crowds of highly concentrated people. The worry is not about the people who get it and are going to be sick for a week, it's because they may be interacting with people who are older, immuno-compromised, or what have you. If it starts spreading at a wild pace, we could end up in a place like Italy (where the whole country is shut down), rather than just canceling basketball games, which is why those games (or at least the crowds who will be there) are being cancelled.

I wonder if Beilein is also checking in on Matt Milon while he's at William and Mary. A 6'5" 40% 3 point shooter seems like a piece we could work with, especially if some of the plan-A options don't come through.

I don't know how to embed,…

I don't know how to embed, either, but there's lots of additional information that you could include that'd make the post more useful for people who hadn't heard of him.

Moss has an offer from Michigan, along with offers from Auburn, Colorado and LSU. The only Crystal Ball prediction for him so far is for Michigan.

He goes to Bishop Alemany High in CA.

His 247 profile is at https://247sports.com/Player/Miller-Moss-46051144/.

He's not ranked as yet.

Simpson defending Reuvers in the post and absolutely dominating him has to be one of my favorite plays of the year. Reuvers didn't stand a chance.

Wait, Michigan might lead for Crouch? Gray is a huge get, but if there's a strong possibility of getting Crouch, that's also big news in and of itself.

E-mail [email protected] This would be a largely resolvable problem if you could watch full game replays—all you would need to do is turn off your phone notifications and then have a non-fan get the replay started for you. But, because they don’t, it means those of us observing the Seder are hosed.
Even for the B1G, these refs are basura

I'm watching with the sound off, and the calls are so random, I often can't even tell what the call was unless the text of a player's fouls goes on the screen.

But this leaves out a good

But this leaves out a good bit of information about the teams. For example, Alabama is 17-10, and Missouri is 17-9 with a home loss to Illinois. Creighton's record is better, but their best win, RPI-wise, is Seton Hall, followed by Providence.

Of course, this is all immaterial, since the committee weighs "What's the best narrative to have people talking about the tournament?" far above all of this, but, on the merits, Michigan should have those teams beat, at least at the moment.

My favorite part of the game

My favorite part of the game was Crean saying that Iowa had to to come back with Robinson out of the game...because Robinson is one of the best help defenders in the Big Ten. I guess he must have just been using a random word generator for a bit there. One off the wall comment per game may be becoming a trend after the announcer was startled after the Jacksonville game that Beilein was unhappy with how the team played.

Nice win today, though. If Simpson can keep that up, the team has a ton of potential.

Just a reminder that it was

Just a reminder that it was an away game at Purdue just a few short years ago when many of us saw the all time best announced game, in which a single guy in Europe who was not connected in any way to the broadcast team, the production crew, etc. did his darnedest to capture what was going on: http://mgoblog.com/mgoboard/george-walden-eurosport-announcer-extraordi….

Brock Huard talking for maybe

Brock Huard talking for maybe 10 minutes about how Cincinnati should kick a field goal only for the kicker to kick...whatever that was, was definitely the high point of that game for me.

The play counted, so it was

The play counted, so it was only a 15 yard penalty, for what it's worth.

As mentioned above, there

As mentioned above, there should be plenty of Michigan fans throughout the stadium, but based on last time, it seems to be much more concentrated on the side behind the visitors bench, whereas there actually are some Maryland fans behind their bench. So basically any section whose last digit is a low number will get you into a heavy Michigan section.

Sorry about that!

I am slow on figuring out how to properly format links. Looks like the one in the first comment works just fine, so I think that's your best bet.

Ah, well that makes some more

Ah, well that makes some more sense then. Thanks for the info!

WKU is getting the #10 player in the country?

Mitchell Robinson is ranked #10 and is listed as having signed with Western Kentucky. This seems...strange. It would also be a heck of a thing if WKU ended up with a player higher than any of Kentucky's recruits (though Kentucky obviously still has a shot with a couple of higher ranked guys).

I had actually assumed it was just a joke

But I was wrong. That really is Samardzjia's career ERA: http://www.espn.com/mlb/player/_/id/29166/jeff-samardzija...and to add a little bit, 2017's a lot worse for him than that.

We'd be up if not for the refs

Just unreal. If these refs ever ref another game, that's one too many.

I just want to give Dan

I just want to give Dan Dakich a shout out for calling a floor a "low ceiling." You can't find that kind of commentary just anywhere.

Anyway, great win on senior day! Keep it up and there's a chance of making a real run.

Janarion Grant of Rutgers won

because he had a hilarious kick return TD against Howard. Seems to me that blocking two kicks should outweigh that, but maybe the fact that they each blocked two meant that it was harder to single out one Michigan player.
