Yeah it’s a bummer. I think he was 5 when he went to his first game. My dad has his season tickets since 1970 so we were excited to see him in the big house, even with the wrong colors on he is a true blue.
I have a charcoal gravity smoker. It’s amazing for smoking, can also go to 700, made pizza in it. Have a Weber with a natural gas hook up, so nice not having to refill propane.
Have a group of 6 going. Three of us went last year my dad, I and and a high school buddy. We’ve added the wives and my daughter. Can’t wait!!! Has anyone done the upgrade tickets for the convention center? Is it worth it? We want to see the bands there. I forgot to mention my son will be there playing in the Purdue band. I pretty sure he’s cheering for Michigan though.
My grandfather lived in yipsilanti as a young boy and as a Boy Scout ushered the opening of the big house. Shortly after they moved to Chicago. When my dad was 14 they moved to south bend for a job and were close enough to make the 2 1/2 hr drive to Ann Arbor. This was late 60's we've had the same 6 seats in sec 6 row 64 since 71. I was born in 73 and my first memories are of A.C. I still remember my AC sparks Michigan shirt. I will admit to making and throwing paper airplanes from the lucky free programs they use to hand out before the game. I remember my dad missing his first home game in 20 years because of a mandatory safety meeting. Was in a hotel room in Georgia traveling for spring break when I watched Mighigan beat the flying Illini and then in Florida not being able yell as R. R. Made the free throws because my gradparents were sleeping. Saw the first time the fab five started together in South Bend. God we need to beat them like a drum next year. Now my 15 year old loves going every week. What is better than a fall Saturday at the Big House. When my dad doesn't go I still have to get him a program he has everyone but 3-4 from since the late 60's. I stormed the field after OSu win in 97 and grabbed some grass from the field it's still in a bag in my basement. Go Blue !!!
My friend in his late 20's has bought tickets lots of times on eBay. In fact we saw the lions vs packers Hail Mary game. Well we didn't see it because my buddy that is a huge packers fan decided it was over and we should beat traffic was his first ever game btw. Lol Saw the replay he'll never leave early again.
I still remember Desmond against Indiana they couldn't guard him on goalline. I think had 4tds that game slant fade ect. You know a guys good when everyone knows who you throwing it to and can't stop it.
God plz no. Why shorting the shot clock is a good idea is a mystery to me. I for one enjoy watching a team have their defense broken down after a number of passes you can't play d for 40 seconds?
I know my dad has been collecting them for years so I asked him how many he has. He said "been a season ticket holder since 1974.starting around appxomaitey 1975 I started saving them. I have most of them but missing about 10 - 15. Went 22 years not missing a home game. I want ro give you and matt and gab.. you need to keep them away from being wet or damp places." Pretty neat he has all those.
Had a chance to win first last night but Denver stunk. Didn't even get to watch it because at Universal studios with the family. But will get to watch the game Friday. Go Blue!!!
