SMH, These early rankings help feed the Football Camp industry more then predict real talent, These kids haven't developed yet. In a decade we are going to see 6th graders ranked out of pop warner if someone can make a buck from it.
This is the best post I can find on the Syracuse Banner, but the thread claims it was set on fire in 1999. Interesting photos from an era of Syracuse relevance.
OSU had 12 drafted in 2016, the most of any power team since 1984, they did not seem to fall back. There is the possibility of 13 going this year. Hate to say it, but I don't think it hurts them too much. Only helps Meyers recruiting.
If you look at the reports on candidates that remain in play for the Maryland job, it is difficult to find a candidate with a stronger resume. Some Maryland writers seem to hink they are in play for Mullen, but he makes 4.1 million per year. That is not a salary that Maryland can top.
I am assuming that DJ is a done deal, and I am happy for him. He was nothing but good for the Maize and Blue and I wish him well.
The fact that this article can be written and not considered laughable or satire shows how far the program has come in four games.... that said... realistically we are not there yet.
Crescent Moon Pizza- worth finding if you are there for several nights. Nice mix of middle eastern spice and pizza. they have traditional college food... but some of their other dishes are a nice suprise.
After several drinks... I have decided the way Utes fans make a "U" with their hands reminds me of the "W" for "whatever" that sorority girls used to do in the 90's. It also reminds me of a great ben folds album... I should probably quit drinking and go to bed.
The Emory & Henry Wasps are credited with inventing an American football offensive formation, named in the college's honor, that divides the offensive line and wide receivers into three groupings of three.[14] While it is primarily used today as a trick play, it was revived in 2007 as an integral part of theA-11 offense, a high school football offensive scheme that was eventually banned due to the exploitation of loopholes in the high school rulebooks. The offense inspired Steve Spurrier to use variations of it as a trickplay formation at Florida and South Carolina named "Emory and Henry", as Spurrier attended Wasps games as a child growing up in nearby Johnson City, Tennessee.[15]
I must agree... most prep schools here in Connecticut are 30K+ (more to board) The only one in the state that is less is Marrionapolis which is still more than 10K.
FWIW: Mike Cox played for avon old farms which is over 40K, lots of schools offer aid to athletes.
Tough to make decisions when you are 18 and have lots of people trying to influence you. Best of luck to him. I hope he figures out what he wants before doors are closed to him.
Agreed. While I would love to be 12-0 right now, I find consolation in the asterisk that will accompany their undefeated season. Congrats on the 12-0* Ohio.
I try not to read too much into these things. I would not be surprised if the advertising agency used by the Department had no idea that the picture they altered would have deeper meaning to Michigan alumni. Ironic though, that a "tip of the hat" to program history misses the implications of the image

Michigan helmet was based on a Spailding design. Fun fact, MSU wore winged helmets until they joined the Big Ten in 1948.

Calling Maryland a rival is like inviting the American Delta party to the presidential debates,
How have I never seen this? Game of Thrones in MS paint is a wonder of the modern art world.

Without sharing what the orders are... why would we ask players to attack or defend against a Conquered team? Are Conquered teams still in the game?

I am also confused, as this is interesting, but I miss your premise. Is your point that 2015 Minnesota is similar on offense to 2014 Michigan?

That game was fantastic... we had also lost a string of road openers which made it even better... today felt the like that.
I must agree, this could realistically be a four loss Oregon team looking at the schedule... seems really odd saying that.
Yup... here is an article about Hoke's focus on toughness from 2011

Agreed. In the battle between hope and reason...we still have only a small reason to hope. That said, I raise a glass to your optimism.
Best of luck to you Keith.
