I was doing work while reading that part of his answer and the point was lost on me. Thanks for making it clearer. I now totally agree that his point was to say "ask this crap again and I'll toss you outta here!"
Awesome, love this coach. Also if you guys saw his latest tweets, he gave a nod to Coach Hoke and his staff for some recent NCAA community and education accomplishments.

I think this was the main goal of the "Legend's Jersey" concept. It just wasn't executed this way. I agree with what you're saying that it sould've been done more subtly. A modest but striking impact to the team and fans that recognize the number.

I think of this everytime I watch the rose bowl. It's nothing fancy or special really just a little bit more than white paint surrounded by glass. In our case, blue.

I'm actually really happy that the legends jerseys are gone! I liked them and I also didn't like them! Sweet!

My fastest car would be my personal 2014 Mustang GT. Slowest would be my dad's work truck. It was like one of the UPS looking trucks but worse and older. I don't even think it could go above 60-65mph.

I've only read Bo's Lasting Lessons and I know his previous two books (think it was just two) get a lot of praise around here. I think I'll give this one a go. I'd like to hear more about what happened in the past year.

For 15K I'd buy a used R32 Skyline
For 10K I'd buy a used 944 Porsche
For 5k I'd get a 1972 stingray as my project car since for 5k that thing won't be running

I gotta say that I still have a hangover from the game lastnight. I just hate losing games on such a big stage that we dominated. I've watched a lot of playoff hockey over the past 10-15 years i've been old enough to watch it. So I've seen this game before. It sucks and all I can say is ughhhh the 2 goals in 1:17 in game four changed this series in another game that we dominated.
Hank and Pavs both looks fatigued or "off". I think Pavel did good obviously, but he still lost pucks that you don't usually see him get taken away or slide off of his stick like they did. Hank looked very slow and I think something was going on with him. He made some good passes. He's a sniper to a degree and his backhands are amazing, and I saw none of that in this series. His last great chance in game 7 was a great pass from Nyquist and he hand an open top corner on Bishiop as he was moving left to right. His shot was in his gut and maybe a 20mph shot at best.
Kronwall, our current Lidstrom incarnation, was out of this game. May have made a difference, maybe not, but I had to agree with the arguments for why it seemed poorly timed to give him the boot when both teams had already had a great deal of bad or questionable hits with no suspensions placed down, His hit was bad and deserved something, but so did Boyle's hit on Abdelkader in game 4. Oh well Kindl and Marchenko both played really well. Although Marchenko had a couple passes he placed infront of our net on the PK that nearly gave me heart attacks.
Babcock might be gone, might not. He deserves to leave if he wants to. He's a great coach and I'd hate to lose him since he is clearly the best in this league. He does so much with the players he has and his strategic mind is second to none. He deserves to move on if he wants, he's earned it. I just hope that Ken Holland can get us a goal scorer. I think we have great support players, good speed, good playmakers, good defense, good goalies, we need a scorer. Like a Brett Hull in 2002.
Shit this is a long post. Sorry for the long rant guys/gals. If you don't want to read it all that's fine, it's just a pissed off fan venting. GO BLUE!

Harbaugh plays the role of your mom or dad when you were caught doing something stupid and originally had a good explanation. Then when confronted about it your story doesn't hold water.
He should own up to it and be done with it. Obviously he's done worse and taking stolen crab legs is a small part of the problems that he has.
"Sorry mom and dad, I lied about the whole thing. It was my fault".... As serious as a heart attack.
Ace made a nice gif on another thread:

I just really liked how he said that the first day of spring practice is like "A Happening".
Also, maybe it's just me but I think this is a pretty quote worthy piece too
“Yeah, we’re really just trying to get better every day. Trying to be better today than we were yesterday. Trying to be better tomorrow than we were today. I know that sounds very simplistic, but it’s just so simple it might work.”

To add to the "he's a college student" let us also not forget this label "Adult". He's one, life can suck, but this is a small hiccup on a long road of ups and downs. This kid DOES have a horrible idea, he DOES deserve to hear about it. He is learning more now than he would have if he passed this a long as a class project that was only graded by the professor.
I also couldn't find any threats of expulsion or the like as Pinky mentioned, maybe these were commentors and not main articles?
Anyways, this adult is not a horrible person. He had a bad idea, lesson learned. He's growing up everyday as we all do, thankfully.

Yeah Buck vs. Bell is bad. Given the time (1925ish) place and ignorance of matters with mental health and how to treat it, a long with so many other things, you kinda see how they get to such a stupid resolution. Not saying it's an excuse but they didn't really know how to treat many things back then. Things that we would consider simpler issues today. Pre-WWII 20th century America is fascinating!

I like the outdoor games, but i don't understand why they dont' just let the fans come up to the glass. I think it would be a really bad experience for a fan to go to that game and not have a huge crowd to make it seem fun. So you end up sitting there straining your eyes to see the blue dots play against the green dots.
At least Soldier field has a big TV at both ends to watch the game, yay!

From his weight room numbers, he is a beast. It always impresses me when a 17 to 18 year old can put up over 300 in bench, over 400 in squat. Not to mention that Karan is 190lbs, and runs a 4.5 40.
I just watched some of the tape, and the thing that jumped out at me was his explosiveness. It makes sense for how strong he is. Not to mention he showed good balance and good footwork, like you said. He also runs forward, again as you mentioned. I saw the same things.
I'm excited to see what a great college coaching staff can do with this kind of talent.

Thanks for the great story and behind the scenes look on what seems to be a great young man in the making!
For someone that is 5'10'' 190lbs. Those weights he can put up are very impressive. Without even seeing him in person I know he is a solid rock! It will be amazing to see what 4 years at Michigan can do to those stats.
|25 weeks 2 days ago||The more insane part to look||
The more insane part to look at is not the grade but that the kid is 12 or 13. Born in 2001 or 2002 most likely.
I can understand a gifted child showing genious level mental abilities to attract colleges at such a young age, but clearly this kids physical abilities aren't that great but they probably see potentional? I don't know where they see it, but I'm also sure this kid showed interest in them and so they agreed to send an offer out. I'm sure it has somethign to do with his ties with someone or something (some said his brother?).
I find it silly that a college is looking at kids at that age, but from the other end I bet the kid and his parents are more than thrilled.
