If #98 can't run and throw in anger, I'd like to see what Shane Morris, QB of the Future, can do in the bowl game. However, my worried mind won't leave the possiblity of Shane losing a kidney behind this year's OL.

They got us. Yes, they did! oooooohhh! hrumph!

Waste. Sometimes players come back from TJ surgery with more velocity. It hasn't happened with Joba yet. His mechanics before the surgey led the Yanks to install the "Joba Rules" when he was a reliever (pre TJS) - essentially prohibiting him from consecutive days and giving him an extra day of rest for each IP.

I think Grant Hill had an overrated career. A couple of years ago I'm mentioned this on the board and had my comment vaporized by neg-votes. Therefore I feel compelled to mention this again on the apparent eve of the return of the neg-vote.

Places like Bama and Texas will look at *names* before they look at non-names and hot coordinators. Narduzzi obvioulsy fits the latter category. Dantonio fits the former, imho.
On the other hand, places like UConn (practically a mid-major) will look at anyone with a major college pedigree.

I call BS - but only on the extremely relevant part that a meeting didn't take place. The world is too small to have sneaked a meeting in the day after The Game.
But whoever made the point about UT being a better job than Ohio - they're right. Ohio is likely seen as a *top 10* whereas UT is going to be #1 based on everything mentioned above - money, recruiting base, facilities, tradition and academics. Futhermore UT is located in a city generally considered to be one of the nicest and most progressive in the country - in a state that has been growing both economically and in population. Notwithstanding my utter distaste for anything in Ohio, you'd be insane not to speak with Texas if you have an opportunity regardless of where you are coaching. Including Bama.

We tied a shitload of games in '92. Maybe those have figured into it.

Any chance Auburn could leapfrog this week with an Ohio win? It should've happened last week.

Well, you've already signed Ellsbury and McCann, so I'm not sure who else - of any value -you can sign. Napoli? You haven't addressed pitching needs, but there's no quality FA pitchers on the market this year.

Thanks. It's from the heart, man.

I would like to see a flash pandemic which causes the players try to eat each other. This melee spills into the stands where the fans of each deplorabale fan base continue to gorge on the others brains and limbs. Finally, before the horror can spill into the streets and harm the nice people of Indianapolis, the USAF surgically destroys the stadium and spares us further tragedy. Or something like that.

My daughter plays comptetitive sports at a high level and its admittedly taken me a few years to learn how to take losses (and sometimes wins) with grace and dignity. It's easier as I get older. I hated this loss because of the opponent and the way they, in turn, handle wins and losses.
Ohio fans - the bad apples, anyway - give me all the perspective I need.

I agree that Bama has a ton of talent, but Ohio's defensive strength is their D-line and I'm guessing that they could win a matchup with Bama's OL - which didn't appear to have a great run game tonight.
|2 weeks 3 days ago||Most of our assumptions about||
Most of our assumptions about Ohio's porous defense could be tested against various matchups. I think Alabama and Staee run offenses that are predictable and slow themselves down, thereby allowing Ohio to stay in those games or win them outright. Against more dynamic systems run by FSU or Auburn (not sure about Mizzou), we'd see a better chance of a fiery and ruinous end for those motherless fucks.

Auburn leapfrogs Ohio with an Auburn win today. The human polls will allow it, anyway. A struggling UM offense put up 500 yards, covered a 17 pt spread and came within a 2 pt conversion of ending Ohio's streak. If Bama keeps things close, they shouldn't fall lower than #3.

Serious question and not a rhetorical one: how would our fanbase/alumni/administration react if one of our players flipped-off an entire stadium after an ejection?

I have two (2) predictions:
1 - Most of the many Ohio fans in attendance (and there will be many) will embarass themselves with no self-awareness.
2 - We will prevail.

Upsetting Ohio's chance to get slobber knockered by Bama would be delicious.

FWIW, he's still listed as #1 slot on the depth chart. Not listed as injured. Again, fwiw.

Whatever. I don't hate them. And I hate uniformz. On us.
I don't give a shit what kind of gear Staee rocks. They change their look every few seasons, anyway.

Their stadium is a Soviet-era dump made uglier by those horrific scoreboards and screens (I'm not a fan of our scoreboards, either) not to mention the new luxury seating whose bricks simply make the place look like it is trying too hard.
Fans? Not much more to add, but If Ohio Stadium is filled with 70,000 truckdrivers, Spartan Stadium is filled with 35,000 brahs and 15,000 farmers. For the most part, you can avoid trouble in EL as long as you don't look for it. The same can't be said for Columbus.

Yes. Not sure if that was intentional, but it is the funniest post of the thread.

28 Days Later scared the shit out of me. It made me certain that the world as we know it would end in a pandemic. That the pandemic would include flesh-eating zombies that could run fast made the film that much more terrifying.
MSU is scary - and I'd say we stand a good chance of taking another loss - but I'm not sure that they're 28 Days Later scary.

I live in NC in the Triangle. MSU MBB has played Duke and UNC numerous times. People are much more familar with Michigan as a brand in MBB, not to mention football (thanks to the Fab5 and last year's run).
