The question is what does Dantonio do when teams recoipricate?

This MSU/Wisky game is intriguing, because I want to see what happens when Cousins starts taking the hits.  Does Dantonio cry foul, I say yes.  Wisky not only has the Coach that will send a message, but the horses to do it.   Belima strikes me as the type that will take a penalty to send a message.

I am looking forward to seeing UW laying the lumber on MSU.  Wisky does NOT like MSU and they WILL protect the franchise (Wilson).  Wilson is also a wold card, I am sure in the ACC he saw his share of players looking to lay the lumber at Miami, FSU, Clemson, and Va Tech, so Gholston and friends will not indimitate him and he has a better OL protecting him

This game could be like the old Raiders/Bears game in the 80's that introduced the Bears as a power, I think it was 9-7.

Older Team helps,,,

The fact that the kids are now JR's and we don't have true Fresh all over the place may have something to do with it.  Just speculating here.

National Championship Trophy

That National Championship Trophy is pretty cool, where can I see it?  I've been to Schembechler Hall and didn't see it?  Is it kept somewhere else at the University, maybe the Presidents office or something?  I guess that would make sense.

Adding Weight

Adding weight for the sake of adding weight is not a good thing.  Lewan at 300 as a RS Soph is plenty, if he is technically sound.  It appeared last year he was. I don't want Lewan at 325 if he can't move or loses athleticism.  He may get there at 22, but to force it at 19 will cause more harm than good.

Black at 265 is fine for a rush DE, if he keeps his burst.  Mike Jones is not a 225 player, nor does he need to be as a Weak Side LB.   These weights are not light.

Too many people are blaming loses that occurred because of youth on size. Every player has a natural size that they mature to where they perform best, you cannot rush it without giving up too much.  We will be better because the players are maturing, period.  20 year old muscle is stronger than 18 year old muscle.  We would be better on D, no matter what staff was here as the kids matured.

Just what I saw watching the games.

Impressive Recruiting Class Recruiting Itself

When UM is ALL moving in the same direction, UM can recruit itself.  When not, ...

Curious, if Hoke doesn't win the B10 or go to the BCS in 3 years

what is to blame?

All we hear is he gets it.  I am just curious, it UM stays at the 7 to 10 win level and does not go to a BCS bowl, what is the blame?

Not a flame, just curious, just hearing alot of the the "get's it" stuff before playing a game.

This isn't about whether OSU broke a few rules

Or took a few liberties with their female party guests, they did.

Sorry, couldn't resist.  Where is Dean Wermer when you need him.

Didn't the old staff get

Didn't the old staff get slammed for making too many offers?

San Diego State was -10?

San Diego State was -10?  What does that say?

Hoke will be fine, UM machine is working for him

A united UM with everyone trying to succeeed is formidable.  UM divided and looking to push their agenda, is mediocre.  As simple as that.   Hoke will be fine, as long as the UM Machine supports him.

I have heard that Hawaii is

I have heard that Hawaii is very tough to get a real offer.  In order to get a committable offer you have to practically commit to them and have thme believe you.  They will not spent the money on recruiting or visists on those that are not SERIOUSLY ready to commit.

IMO, the early commits hurt

IMO, the early commits hurt B10 schools.  It really stumps me why a B10 school would want to push for early commitments.

In the south, the recruiting game plays out until February for all the schools.  Some schools in the SEC don't even beleive that recruiting gets serious until December.  So, SEC schools get to see players for JR spring, camp, Junior season,  SR spring, camp and Senior season.  There are very few misses, outside of academics.  If Florida, Bama, LSU, or others offer a committbale scholarship the kid can play.

B10 schools taking early commits have to make a decision off their Junior season. The margin for error is much higher and there are less B10 level players.  So, if UM or PSU spent all that time recruiting their in-state studs, offer, accept the commit and the kid can't play it hurts badly.

I can't understand why UM fans want early commits.  Give me the kids in January when you know what you got.

Funny how the last 3 years

Funny how the last 3 years Rivals was gospel and rankings matter according to "knowledable" posters.  Now, it doesn't and Rivals is washed up.  I guess I need to check in more often to find out what I am supposed to believe.

From what I see, the caliber of athlete being recruited is about the same, the style (bigger/slower) and the prevailing winds have changed.  The level of recruit is about the same IMO.
